Hello, thanks for writing in. I know that this kind of topic for you could be hard to talk about, but it's really great you've made the first step by writing in!

Upon reading the request I've noticed straight away that the way you're feeling is perfectly normal; this boy didn't treat you the way you deserve and you're worried that he's going to do the same to your friends and that's perfectly normal.

I think it's best to talk to your friends about it but please do it at your own pace. I don't want you to rush into anything you're not ready to do, but if your friends are talking with him and he's as toxic as you say, then I see it as a warning for them.

Plus, I think it'll help you mentally to get it off your chest. It's not you bringing up old drama— it's you discussing something which has clearly left some trauma and that's okay to talk about. They're not very good friends if they don't support you through this hard time.
