This person is nervous about their upcoming interview.

Hi there!

First and foremost, please attend the interview. You might regret it, if you don't. The company clearly sees potential in you and your application to have offered you an interview in the first place. Don't think about the other interview that you have experienced. Some interviews don't go as planned, and it was your first interview after all.

My advice is prepare yourself by researching some questions that are likely to appear in the interview. For example, if your interview is for a retail position, search for some retail interview questions. Whatever sector it is for, search for some possible questions and prepare answers for them. Now, I'm not saying that these questions will be asked, but most of the time, they are similar to what has been given to you on the internet. This way, you'll roughly know what to say to the interviewer.

Also, research the company and what is expected of you in the role that you have applied for. This way, you will show the company that you are serious about the job that you are applying for.

If you don't want to prepare on your own, then ask your family or your best friend to help you with it. Maybe they can ask you some questions that you've found, and you can answer them. They can give you feedback on how your answers sound.

Most importantly, don't worry too much about it. Everyone gets nervous for interviews; it's natural. But with some preparation and support, your nerves will ease a bit, because you'll feel more prepared for it.

Please make sure you go to the interview, and, if it is possible, have your friend or a family member travel to it with you and meet you after it has finished. This way, your mind will have something else to focus on (talking to your friend/family), and it will make you think less about the interview.
