I leaned back on my seat, a sigh of relief barely escaping my lips. I closed my notebook and started gathering my stuff then placing them inside my backpack. I stood up and fixed the chair I've used before making my way out of the library.
*ding*
I reached from my back pocket to grab my phone, when I saw that it was from none other than Shuhua, I opened her message and read it.

I turned off my phone and made my way down the stairs, I made my way to the lockers area because I need to put back these heavy books. I unlocked my locker and placed all the unnecessary books inside. I zipped my backpack closed and left the locker's area.
I started walking to the cafeteria, because the first thing that would greet you as you entered our school is the cafeteria. The cafeteria isn't that busy compared during lunch breaks, but there were a few people here and there who were just chilling around.
But then there's these two familiar figures that never fails to irritate me every time, i held back the urge to roll my eyes at the sight of the two of them. I clenched my jaw as I got nearer to them, I watched how the two of them interacted on one another.

The latter whispered something on the girl's ear, which made her playfully hit them on the shoulder before the two let out a laugh. I furrowed my eyebrows at the two of them, quickly glancing at my wrist watch to check what is the time. Like why are they still here? It's already near 2:45 in the afternoon and we were dismissed around 1:55, yet here they are.
Y/N has their arm placed around Yiren's chair and was leaning too close at her, too close to my liking to be honest. The latter was smiling so brightly until she grabbed their hand and guided their fingers on the frets of the guitar. The two were grinning from ear to ear as they started strumming the guitar before she allowed them to hold the guitar.
The scene in front of me made my blood boil, I wasn't even aware that was actually standing in the middle of the cafeteria as I glared at the two. My fist tightened on my sides before I made my way towards their direction.
It seems that Y/N noticed my presence because they averted their gaze from the girl to look at me. I frowned, taking note to scoff loudly when I walked past them before I angrily stormed off the cafeteria. I didn't even realize that I was actually holding my breath as I walked past them, only huffing in the defeat when I finally got out.
I pushed the door open and entered the shop that just recently got opened, Soobin was the first one that spotted me because he looked like a giant that was sitting across Shuhua. He was waving for me like an idiot, before i playfully rolled my eyes at him and made my way towards them. I slumped on the empty seat next to Shuhua, propping myself on the table as I frustratedly messed up my hair.

Soobin choked on his bread, , I heard him say. I released a frustrated sigh before slightly slamming my fist on the table,, he asked.
, Shuhua joined in before taking a sip of her coffee.
, he asked.
I looked up at him with a deadly glare, , I mocked him.
Soobin widened his eyes while raising his arms in surrender,, he defended.
, she asked once again which made me shake my head.
, I asked them.
The two of the shared a look, , he muttered. I huffed before leaning back on my seat, I threw an arm on my face as I closed my eyes.
, Shuhua spoke, I wasn't even sure if she's joking or she's just stating facts. , she mumbled the last part.
I growled under my breath before sitting up straight, my eyebrows still furrowed together angrily while I stared outside at the large window beside us. We only sat there for a minutes as I tried to cool my head off, when I somehow finally did i finally spoke.
, I told them. The two of them widened their eyes on what i just said while Soobin's jaw dropped.
, Shuhua repeated, her eyes widening even more.
I sigh and nodded at her, , I emphasized the word 'together'.
The two shared a look before she cleared out her throat, , I commented and rolled my eyes. I clicked my tongue, , I added.
Soobin raised up his eyebrow,, he asked with his eyes widened.
, I answered him.
He only hummed, , he mumbled to himself. Soobin suddenly gasped which made us look at him, , he asked with his mouth agape.
Shuhua thought about it for a second before slowly nodding at his theory, , I tried to convince them.
, he commented which made Shuhua hum in agreement, she placed her hand on her chin and began rubbing it.
I nervously fidgeted my fingers on my lap being too deep in thought, not even bothering to listen to the two anymore. I bit my lower lip, somehow believing that she did invited them to join her club. But refusing to accept that the she probably did it to hit on them.
Soobin crossed his arms over his chest, , he spoke which made me snap out of my thoughts. The two were literally staring at me, waiting for me to respond but there's so much stuff happening on my mind that I couldn't focus anymore.
I gulped, feeling a bit anxious of what to say, I cleared out my throat before speaking up, , i muttered before the two nodded in agreement.
Soobin grabbed his wallet and stood up from his seat, , he informed us.
, she spoke and stood up.
, he asked me with a smile.
I shook my head at them, , I replied before shooing them away. The two chuckled before leaving our seat and walking towards the cashier to buy more bread.
I bit my inner cheeks while looking back outside the large window as my thoughts consumed my mind once again. I swear, I'm really having a rollercoaster of emotions when I see them. One second, I'll be angry and annoyed when I see them with some other girl. Then a second later, I'll be upset due to realization about some things.

Getting Hard (Journey of a Tank)
Herald Stone always built tank characters in every MMORPG he played. To be immortal—that was his first Goal, a simple childhood dream. However, the turbulent realities of life put an end to his gaming days. Years passed, and Herald Stone, now having attained success and stability, was presented with the opportunity to redeem himself...to fulfill his first Goal. Trivial? Childish? Others might think so. But Herald Stone always fulfilled his Goals—every single one. No matter what. Immortality beckoned in Mother Core Online, and this time Herald Stone would answer. Choosing a long-forgotten race, hidden away in an unknown region, the journey of an immortal tank begins. This is the tale of Herald Stone...getting hard. Schedule: Mon-Wed-Fri ~1.8k-2.3k words per chapter. Also published on Scribblehub. My other ongoing story: REND | Royal Road Expect a focus on building a true tank in MMORPGs. Heavy game elements and numbers are present. But actual math will take a backseat to strategies involving skill builds and synergies that steadily become more complex while remaining understandable. The main character is atypical in LitRPGs or web novels as a whole. He might take some getting used to. Character arcs will develop over a long period. What you see now will be different as the main character changes. The start of Getting Hard is slow-paced (more so than others of the genre) and includes world-building and character development before focusing on the LitRPG.
