Teddy PoV

After they left and we had a good hugging session, Georgie and I went to get Ro from school, because it was that time of the day.

So we were waiting at the gate, like any person or parent who was waiting to pick up their child from school would, Ro came out of school without a problem, so then we went home, because school is a place that you want to leave as soon as possible, (well at least I did when I was a child).

5 minutes after we got home however, was an entirely different story, Ro had sensed that something was wrong, I don't know how, but it was like she has a sadness radar or something like that.

"Daddy, did something bad happen today?"

"What makes you think that Baby?"

"Well Uncle Georgie is sad, which he wasn't this morning Daddy"

"(Sighs), something bad did happen today Baby girl, but it's complicated"

"Daddy, does Uncle Georgie need a hug?"

"Why don't you ask Uncle Georgie that Rowan Sweetheart"

"Ok Daddy"

So Ro ran down the hall and she somehow managed to engulf Georgie into a hug, which wasn't the easiest thing to do since Georgie was like 6ft 1in and she was a small, small child.

"I still love you Uncle Georgie!"

"Thank you Ro"

"You're welcome Uncle Georgie!"

Georgie then walked into the living room and sat on the armchair, already happier than he had been just a minute before, but I guess that's just what having a happy go lucky child is like or something.

"Hey Teddy, that's really made my day now!"

"(Laughs), and you wonder why I'm always so happy around her Georgie boy"

"Oh shut up Dad, you are such a smart arse"

"I'm pretty sure if I'm the parental figure here Georgie boy then you can't tell me to shut up"

"Oh so's your face!"

That just made me laugh, I think it was a mixture of that Georgie couldn't think of a comeback and the pure childishness of it, because I'm easily amused apparently, or the fact that I was always sleep deprived.

"You arsehole"

"Loves ya too Georgie"

"Do you have to?"

"Well duh, we are Addams Georgie boy, it's self explanatory"

Ro comes running into the living room, to go to the table and do her homework, because I raised a smart kid.

"I'm doing my homework Daddy!"

"That's my cleaver little girl, eh, if you need help with anything, ask somebody, ok"

"Ok Daddy"

It was quiet in our little flat for a while, Ro was doing her homework, Georgie was staring into space while overthinking everything and I was drinking my tea, that was until Ro put her homework away and sat on my lap, as you do.

"Hey Daddy"

"Hey Tesoro, you feeling ok?"

"Yeah, I'm ok, I just wanted a cuddle Daddy"

"Ok Baby girl, come here"

So I wrapped my arms around Ro, pulled her closer to my chest and resting my temple on top of her head, because hugging is more enjoyable that way.

"I love you Daddy"

"I love you too Baby Girl"

"I love you more"

"(Chuckles), I love you most Sweetheart"

"Smarty pants"

"Has anyone told you that you are adorable"

"You do most days Daddy"

"Now who's the smarty pants?"

"I get it from you Daddy"

"She's not wrong Teddy"

"Hey, are you and Uncle Georgie ganging up on me?"

"No Daddy, I'm not, I can't speak for Uncle Georgie though, 'cause he's his own person and I don't know what he thinks about"

"Hey!"

I just started laughing, because Ro was just so adorably honest about everything that you couldn't be mad at her.

"What's so funny Daddy?"

"It's nothing Baby"

"You sure about that Daddy?"

"Yeah Sweetheart I'm sure about that"

"Ok Daddy, I believe you"

"Gee thanks Ro"

"(Giggles)"

I was content in the moment and even Georgie was laughing, which was an achievement considering what happened with Mum and Dad just a couple of hours before.

"Daddy"

"Yes Baby"

"What's for dinner?"

"Well Bambina, if I don't burn dinner, it'll be lasagna, if I do burn dinner then it'll be the chippy probably"

"Ok Daddy"

I then went and started on dinner as I had 2 kids to feed, Georgie then came over to the kitchenette and started asking me a load of questions.

"Do you even know how to make lasagna Teddy?"

"Nana has written down instructions and ingredients for me to follow Georgie"

"Yeah but we had Mums cooking-"

"I'm not that bad Georgie, I don't burn bloody cereal"

"You have got a point there Teddy"

"Gee thanks Georgie boy"

"So have you made it before?"

"Yes I have actually Georgie, but I haven't done it enough to not need the instructions"
