5 months later...

Mikey had settled in quite well, since he and Ro got on like a house on fire, it did change the family dynamic a little bit but I guess you kinda need to be prepared for that when you add another kid into the mix.

It was an early Saturday morning, surprisingly I was the only one awake, normally Georgie would've been the only one that was still in bed.

Anyway, I was doing the housework, because I actually had time to solely focus on it that morning since the kids were still in bed, but then the fucking doorbell rang, and naturally I answered it, because it was my flat and shit, though I wished that I didn't answer that bloody door, because shit was about to be stirred.

"What the hell do you want Megan?"

"I want to see my daughter Teddy"

"Our! daughter is sleeping, something that is rare past 7 O'clock in the morning"

"Can you give me a time that she might be awake at?"

"No, I can't promise anything, well that and she might not even want to see you when she's actually awake Meg, which would be totally understandable considering what you have said and done to her"

"That was one time-"

"I don't care how many times you said it, our! daughter still heard you call her a lousy kid"

Mikey groggily walked into the living room, with Kevin, his owl plushy tucked in his arm.

"Daddy"

"Yes Sweetheart?"

"Who's the lady at the door?"

"She's Ro's mum"

"Why is she here?"

"She's here to see Ro"

"But Ro's asleep"

"I know Baby, I know"

"Daddy, can I have pancakes for breakfast please?"

"Yeah Sweetheart, I'll make them for you in a minute"

Mikey seemed to be happy with that arraignment, so he went to his room for a minute or two, which would give me time to get rid of Megan.

"He's cute Teddy"

"I know he is, but that's not what we need to discuss here Meg"

"No, I guess you're right"

"I want to know why is today of all days the day you 'decide' to reappear in Ro's life, even though you're not particularly needed?"

"Because I fucked up-"

"That's your reason?, are you fucking serious-"

"Yes I am"

"Do you even listen to any of the words that you say-"

"Of course I do-"

"Fucking hell Meg, do you actually think that I'm fucking stupid or something"

"No Teddy-"

"Then why the fuck would I let you come back into Ro's life?"

"Because I'm her mother-"

"That's not a good enough reason!"

It took all my energy to not scream at Megan for her bullshit, and I was so close to snapping at Megan, I didn't snap at Megan, but I was really, really, really close to snapping at her.

"What do you mean?"

"What do I mean, what don't you understand about it not being a good enough reason?"

"I'm entitled as her mother-"

"You being her mother isn't a good enough reason for you to come back in her life, just like you fucking up isn't a good enough reason for you to leave-"

"I'm struggling to wrap my head around being a mum-"

I might have been a little harsh with my words, but I was actually annoyed about how Megan had tried to twist it to benefit her.

"You've had 6, nearly 7 years to wrap your head around being a Mum, not that you've done that much for Ro as her mother in that time but that's not what the problem is here today or the point I'm trying to make to you, the problem I have with you is that you keep yoyoing in and out of her life, which can emotionally damage somebody you know, and you do this because you can't wrap your head around being a mother, and so you're not going to be a good influence for her, so if you're struggling to wrap your head around being a Mum now, then you're not ever going to wrap your head around being Rowan's Mum"

"Teddy-"

"No Megan, parenting only gets harder from here, so leave"

I gently shut the front door, because I couldn't deal with the bullshit reasoning that Megan had, that and I didn't want to scare Mikey, so to try and calm myself down, I made Mikey's pancakes for him.

When I had finished making the pancakes, Mikey had come back into the sitting room area, he didn't really look anymore awake then he was before, but he did sit at the table.

"Here you go Baby"

"Daddy"

"Yeah Buba?"

"Can you cut my pancakes please?"

"I can do that for you Darling"

"Thank you Daddy"

"You're welcome Baby"
