《Rowan: Queen of Chav's》25 hours without sleep (Seventeen)

Rowan PoV
Dad went back to bed at 4 O'clock, but I still couldn't sleep, because I had long given up on sleeping that night, hence I did coursework before Dad woke up and saw that kind of self destructive behaviour, I didn't want him to see me like that because he went full on parent mode on me when he saw me do that.
I was dressed in my school uniform by about 6 O'clock, because I had nothing else to do and I was bored, then I put on some Tom and Jerry, since I could.
Dad was up a couple of minutes later, he stood in the hall doorway while on the phone, obviously talking to the sleep people about my sleep, but I wasn't listening to the conversation, because I didn't want some random people judging my sleep, (or lack there of).
Dad came off the phone a couple of minutes after that, and he looked kind of stressed, Dad crossed his arms, leant against the hallway doorframe, so I knew to switch off the tv and looked at him, because he about to do the Dad thing about my sleep.
"So, did you sleep Ro?"
"What would you say if I said that I didn't sleep?"
"I would say that you're not going to school today because you need to sleep"
"Dad, I can't not go school!"
"So you're saying that you didn't sleep?"
"Well it's not like I didn't try to sleep"
"Ok then, I believe that, I'm will be ringing school when their phone lines open at 7 O'clock"
"No Dad, Dad!, come on, I need to go to school so that I don't miss any coursework that I need to do for my GCSE's"
"Rowan Sweetheart, you have now gone 25 hours without any sleep-"

"What about you?!"
"What do I have to do with this Sweetheart?"
"You definitely have gone longer than that without sleep"
"Ok yeah I have done, I will hold my hands up and admit that I've done that and more, but this isn't about me Ro, it's about the fact that you want go to school on a brain that hasn't slept for a whole fucking day, and I can tell you from my experience that you won't learn much, now please go to bed"
"But I need to go to school Dad"
Dad then walked over to the couch, sat beside me and cupped my face, worry etched on his face like an etch a sketch, a twinge of guilt flashed in my stomach for worrying him so much but I still needed to go to school.
"(Sighs), I know that school suggests that you shouldn't take days off when you are studying for your GCSE's, but, and it's a big but, I can't let you go to school today knowing that you didn't sleep last night Sweetheart, I'm glad that you take your education seriously, I really am, but sometimes you need time off, and before you turn it around to me, I did take a couple days off when I did my GCSE's, so I'll ring school so that they can't say anything to you about it, and if they say anything to you about it, you tell me and I will personally give them a piece of my mind, ok"
"Ok, so what did the sleep people say?"
"They want you to go in for a sleep analysis on 5th October"
"And what about you?"
"I have mine on 12th October"
"Ok, does Papa know?"
"Yeah he knows"
"Ooh, let your Aunt Rebecca know so that she can stop nagging at you to go"

"(Snorts), I will"
I then pulled Dad into a hug, as I wanted a hug, because hugs are nice sometimes, especially the hugs that Dad gives.
"Are you ok there Buba?"
"I don't know Dad"
"Ok, would maybe feel better if you got back into your pyjamas?"
"Well if you want to try and sleep then that would probably help me"
"It probably would help, yes, but if you want to stay in-"
"Nah"
I then went and put my pyjamas back on, as it was pointless to stay in my uniform if I wasn't going to school, I then sat back down beside Dad.
"Is that more comfy Baby?"
"Yes it is"
"That's good to know Kiddo"
"Yeah well there was no point in staying in my uniform if I wasn't going to school today, ya know"
"At least you knew that Ro"
"Oh piss off Dad"
"(Snorts)"
"That wasn't supposed to be funny"
"Well it was"
"Has anyone told you that you're an arsehole sometimes?"
"Yes, yes I know that I can be an arsehole sometimes"
"Good, I'm glad that nobody lied to you about that Dad"
