《Rowan: Queen of Chav's》Sunday Morning (Fourty)

Rowan PoV
It was a Sunday morning, the sun was shining the windows and I couldn't get myself out of bed, no matter how much I wanted to, Dad walked into the room that Soph and I shared and sat beside where I was laying down on my bed, as he was a little bit worried about me.
"Hey there Baby, are you ok?"
"I don't know Dad"
"Do you know how you feel?"
"Yeah"
"Do you want to tell me how you feel?"
"Like something is sucking out the happiness out of me"
"Oh Bambina"
Dad then checked my arms for scars, to which there wasn't anything there, though I didn't know that was why Dad was checking my arms, I just thought that he was being weird as do sometimes.
"Why are you checking out my arms?"
"For scars"
"Wait wha- no! I would never do that, Dad, come on, I can't even buy basic fucking crafting scissors until I'm 18, how the fuck am I supposed to buy razors?"
"Dodgy shops, people thinking that you are 18, getting someone who is over 18 to get them for you, the list goes on-"
"(Snorts), Dad, come on the last one would be a lot of effort that I'm not willing to put in"
"I'm just checking, anyway, is there anything that can I do for you Sweetheart?"
"Please don't leave me alone, that's when I feel the worst"
"Ok Baby, do you want to go to the living room?"
"I've been trying to will myself to get out of bed all morning"
Dad then started to softly brush his fingers through my hair, as that does help when I'm sad and shit, (though that's obvious to Dad lol).
"Ok, I think I need to make a phone call, Mikey!"

"Yeah Dad?!"
"Can you pass me the house phone?!"
"Ok Dad!"
Mikey then runs in with the house phone in his hand, he looked kind of confused, I was also a bit confused as to why Dad needed the house phone for when he had his mobile phone, Mikey then left the room to go back to whatever he was doing and then Dad started the phone call to whoever he was calling.
"Hi, I would like to make an appointment for my daughter, yes she's a child, Rowan Addams, 26th August 1999, my name?, ok, Theodore Addams, I would prefer a phycologist, it's for a mental health check, yes I can do 1st May, 2 O'clock is perfect, thank you very much, alright now, bye, bye"
I was still very much confused by the phone call, because I didn't think that I needed to see a phycologist, (I mean obviously I needed one but you know there's this thing called denial that I was in), I just needed some motivation to get out of bed sometimes.
"What do I even need a phycologist for though Dad?"
"Sweetheart, you have literally just said to me that you can't get yourself out of bed and you feel like the happiness is being sucked out of you, if that doesn't scream depression or something else like that then I don't know what does"
"I'm not dep-, actually, well ok maybe, uh, but still Dad, I don't need a-"
"Yes you do, I'm pulling the Dad card"
"Dick"
"Say whatever makes you feel better because I'm not changing my mind"
"Of course not"
"I don't like pulling the Dad card Ro, but you're health is more important to me than not pulling the Dad card"
Yeah with hindsight now, I don't know how it wasn't bloody obvious to me that I was depressed as fuck, but I didn't have hindsight to help me.

"Dad"
"Yeah Baby"
"How did you know who to call?"
"Well, I had to call them for Uncle Georgie at one point"
"I guess that it makes sense now Dad"
"Jee thanks Ro"
"(Snorts), love you too Dad"
Dad kissed the top of my head and pulled me into a hug, as I needed one and parents sometimes feel useless otherwise, (though I did make it slightly harder for Dad because of how outrageous some of the questions I asked Dad were).
"Dad"
"Yeah Baby"
"Does growing up get any easier to deal with?"
"I wish that I could tell you it does get easier to deal with Sweetheart, though it doesn't really get any easier to deal with, you just learn to hide it better than you did before"
"Oh-"
"But for me it could be just that I had shit parents, you're gonna have to tell me weather or not it affects that feeling when you're older"
"(Snorts), that's such a Dad answer"
"Well I'm not gonna answer like a Mum now, am I?"
"I mean you were all the parents for me at one point Dad"
"You're right about that Kiddo"
