Katsuki turned 14.. finally caught up with his friends in age. A shame next year they will be older faster than he will. But he'll catch up! He always does!
.
.
.
Katsuki smiled, 15 finally. Took forever but he and his friends were finally at the same age again. The way it should be.
.
.
.
Katsuki looked proud as watched the time tick down for his sixteenth birthday. Time to be the same age as the Bakusquad again. The way he wished it could stay.
.
.
.
Katsuki pouted, all of his friends were now 17. Even if he just needed a couple more months then he'll be 17, he still couldn't help but he bummed. He just needed to wait a few more months.
.
.
.
Mina turned 18 first. Sero coming next. Then Kirishima and finally Kaminari. If only Katsuki could catch up. Then they would finally be equal again.
It would take a while though.. if ever.
.
.
.
Another year passed and now they were 19. Not very different from 18 but that didn't matter. It was just like every year. The Bakusquad turned another year older faster than Katsuki who seemed to be farther behind each year.
.
.
.
20. What was special about it? Not much. They each waited their turns.. turning one year older.. telling each other swell birthday wishes.. yet Katsuki would have to come another day.
.
.
.
21 felt worse than all. Their lungs felt heavy and their hearts were swollen. Why must they turn 21? Why would they get older? Why must they wait for Katsuki? Must they wait on 22 as well? Even going as far as 23? 24 maybe.
Must they always wait?
.
.
.
They no longer wanted to wait.. but the damage has been done. How much? Five years. They no longer wanted to wait.. but they had already done so, and they regretted it.. each day a new pain.

They stood at a mighty 22 wondering if they should continue waiting on Katsuki even if it was stupid to do so.
They knew it would take a while for Katsuki to catch up, if possible. Yet that didn't matter anymore, they refused to go any higher.. they would not allow it.
Despite what Katsuki wanted.
.
.
.
Katsuki was still 16.. each member of the Bakusquad dying at the same age of 22. It was not fair for Katsuki to be so far behind in age. His friends used to make fun of him for being the youngest in the group.
Now they no longer found it funny.

Primacy Online
Life on Earth was nearly eradicated in World War III, but using alien technology, the Patriarch of the Church of the Resurrection built a new society from the ashes. He created what he called the Constructed Reality MMORPG, Primacy Online, a world so real that the players could not distinguish it from reality. After outlawing wars between the city-states on Earth, he declared that all wars would be fought inside the world of Primacy Online. Thirteen hundred years later, the release of Primacy Online VI: Legacy of Balor signals the beginning of World War IX. Players from Earth's city-states will be locked in cryogenic capsules and play Primacy Online in War Mode. Their achievements in the game will determine the victory rankings of their city-states, but if they die in the game, they will die for real. Patrick Armagh found flaws in the game mechanics of Primacy Online and exploited them to rise to the peak of the game. But when the Church declared he was cheating, he was perma-banned from the game. Now, the Church has declared that Patrick and all the other perma-banned cheaters will be included in a special Church group for World War IX, where they can earn redemption for their sin of cheating. However, Morgan Danan, Speaker of the City of Mann, and the generally acknowledged number one player of Primacy Online, has a deal for Patrick. With her help and his method of cheating, he has the chance to become a virtual god within Primacy Online, but by taking up her offer, he will become an enemy of the Church. Like a significant percentage of Primacy Online players, Patrick suffers from an ultimately fatal, degenerative nervous system disorder. He has less than five years to live. With death staring him in the face and nothing to live for, he accepts Morgan Danan's offer, and once again, enters Primacy Online as Crom Cruach, a disgraced legend. Will Crom Cruach, once again, become a legend, or will he be destroyed by the Church? What secrets has the Church hidden inside the game?

Whatever their story, the humans vanished and left behind wondrous wrecks of ancient technology. In times of desperate need, some may claim, they will return once more. If those voices are to be believed, an ancient space station at the border of the galaxy speaks ill portents. Waking from a slumber aeons long, it brought with it the last of the humans it had kept in stasis. Enter a story of magic and technology where mages battle with lightning and spaceships alike. Follow along as they explore the remnants of their golden age and rebuild their civilization from dust. They’re the paradox, the precursors come back to haunt the present.
