《His [COMPLETED]》(17) Spit it out, Knight.

Kyle was eager to start raising money for Bill and his wife, Mary, and to me that was the most sacred thing.
Kyle had this massive heart, he really did. It was if he never had a chance to fill it up, but every opportunity he got, he helped people even without realising it. He never seized to amaze me at every opportunity either.
"I think I'm aiming to atleast raise 10,000," he said absentmindly to himself. I looked to him with amazement, he really was something else. He made my heart just swell with pride and admiration. It was crazy really.
"That's a good sum of money. I really want to help," I stated. It was true, I did. I loved to help people, it was in my nature, and doing it with Kyle (who deserved it) was a bonus.
He took hold of my hand as he looked to me for a second. His smile was warming, full of admiration too. It was funny really, we were doing this together, yet we felt so proud of eachother for doing so.
"Well of course. I wouldn't want to do it on my own," he explained as he looked to the road. We were back in his truck and making our way home.
The kiss had left me a misty mess. I was kind of dizzy after it and extremely, utterly crazy. I craved more. Much, much more.
He kissed me as if he needed it, as if he had held back for so long. It was everything, yet I didn't know whether it was completely idiotic or not. I mean, we weren't dating, so did that not excuse me from kissing him? I hoped not.
"You won't do it on your own because you've got me. 10,000 dollars is a huge amount of money, Kyle, I would never ever let you try and raise that much on your own," his hand flexed around mine, as if he was silently thanking me. I smiled at his gesture.
"I love your smile," he stated without even taking his eyes off of the roads. I blushed slightly.
"Shut up," I muttered. Kyle laughed, his head falling back slightly and his hair falling backwards. I smiled even further at the sight.
"You can never take compliments," he chuckled.

"I can," I pouted childishly. "Just not off of you,"
"And why is that?" His eyebrow arched as he looked towards me. I shook my head and shrugged. He chuckled further.
The car stayed silent for a few minutes as we made our way home. Soon, we were pulling up on to the drive.
"Wait there," he demanded. I looked to him in confusion.
"What do you-" the car door shut in response. I watched his body make it's way to my side of the car. He pulled the car door open and stood there waiting for me to climb out.
"I'm opening the door for you," he said, almost like a child hoping to please his mother. He had that vulnerability in his eyes, almost hoping he had made me happy. Almost as if he hoped I was proud of him.
"I know," I laughed as I climbed out. I wrapped my arms around his neck as soon as I had climbed out. "Thank you," I kissed his cheek.
"It's never a problem," he breathed as he took in the sent of my neck. His face laid in the crook of my neck, and I welcomed his warm breath fanning my skin.
"Cali!" My name had projected from my house, I turned my head and saw my father stood by the door. I pulled away from Kyle embarrassingly.
"I have to go," I said to Kyle quickly, even though my eyes betrayed me, I didn't want to go, I didn't want to leave Kyle, even though I knew I had to.
"That's okay," he replied as he smiled, and his eyes also told me he didn't want me to go either. "I had fun,"
"Me too," I breathed. I smiled before making my way over to my house.
"Good night, Cali," I heard him say. I smiled to myself.
My father stood there in a plain white shirt and some jeans leaning against the dark wooden door frame. His face looked almost panic stricken. My heart began pounding nervously.
"What's the matter?" I asked worriedly, the worst case scenarios making their way to my head.
"I didn't know where you were and you didn't take your phone. It kind of got me worried," he looked almost sheepish. I rolled my eyes but my heart warmed.

"Dad," I breathed.
"What? I can't help but worry about you, you're my little girl and I think I've finally realised that my little girl needs protecting," he stated. I ran into his arms, like the little girl I used to be.
"I love you," I said. And he was the only man I loved truly. Kyle popped into my head but I threw him away.
"I love you too. Now get in before I wrap you up in bubble wrap and never let you out of my sight again,"
"Abit extreme," I replied dryly. He laughed in reply.
I made my way indoors, relishing in the warmth of the house and feeling comfortable and safe with the small lamps alight. It was almost as if the room was a fire like container, the lights creating a red look and warming my body with just a glance.
"Dad, I'm going to go to bed," I said as I yawned, a feeling of exhaustion washing over me like a tidal wave.
"Okay, love," was his reply. I made my way up the stairs as the stairs creaked.
As soon as I opened the door to my room, I flopped on to my bed. My room was a cream colour, but it had splashes of black here and there.
I got up and took off my clothes. I pulled on a pair of shorts and a top and laid myself in bed, snuggling down and welcoming the cool blankets on my skin.
Suddenly, a feeling of nervousness made it's way through my body. As soon as you lay down and have time to think about things, your mind becomes weighed down with memories you hoped to forget.
The fact my mother could come home was a thought I hoped would never come to me.
"Dad!" I shouted, not wanting to get up. My dad came pounding up the stairs, as soon as he barged in, his breath was coming out in short rags.
"What?" He panted breathlessly.
"You're not going to leave are you?" I asked as if I was a child again.
"Of course not, love, of course not," his features softened. He made his way over to me as he gave me a hug. I hugged him back. Our relationship was so much stronger since the attack.
He gave me a kiss on the cheek.
"Try and get some sleep, my little girl," he whispered. I nodded my head. He made his way back to the door, he gave me one last look before leaving and shutting the door slowly behind him.
My eyes suddenly started dropping, and I was grateful. My eyes became heavy. My mind was wandering off to a place further away from reality and I relished it, basking in it's glory.
Suddenly, a knock came from my window. My heart started pounding as I jumped.
Another knock came from the window and it was as if stones were hitting the glass. I jumped up from bed and made my way to the window, opening it up and looking down. My breath caught in my throat.
Kyle.
"What are you doing here?" I shouted down from the window. He stood there smiling happily to himself.
"I can't quite seem to stay away," he replied. I rolled my eyes.
"I've only just left you,"
"I hope you never leave me," he replied quickly. My heart fluttered.
"Kyle," I breathed, trailing off. He couldn't here me, but it didn't stop me.
"Do you remember just a month ago when I was stood here?" He asked. I nodded my head. How things had changed. Getting to know Kyle was something I would never forget.
"Yeah, I do," I said. "I remember it like it was yesterday,"
"Well it basically was, it was only a month ago," I laughed in reply.
"Why are you here?" I continued to laugh quietly to myself.
"I came here to ask you something," he replied. I rolled my eyes again.
"Spit it out, Knight," I referred to his last name. He chuckled.
"Promise me you won't say no?"
"Depends what it is,"
"Promise me," he demanded. I shook my head in exasperation.
"Fine, I promise," I let out defeated. "Now what is it?"
"Will you go on a date with me?"
