《Sold To The Gangleader》Chapter 1

"LAYLA!"
I jump out of my thoughts, looking up to see my geography teacher, Miss Robinson, glaring at me. She's a chubby tall woman with a bob hair and she's wearing a long black dress with matching big glasses.
"If you're done staring at the back of Michael's head, I'd like you to answer this question." She taps the whiteboard with a marker. My cheeks redden with her statement and I scowl.
She just had to embarrass me like that.
Michael, the brunette, turns around with a smirk playing on his smug face.
I roll my eyes. He's one of those idiots who thinks he's all that when really he's just a little boy with a massive ego.
"She's staring again." He says loudly and my mouth falls open as everyone bursts out laughing.
He winks at me before turning around and I cover my face as I feel all eyes on me.
What a fucking ass!
"Miss Brooks I'm waiting!" Mrs Robinson snaps again in her annoying deep voice.
I don't respond and continue to scowl with my face beet red.
"MISS BROOKS, DO NOT IGNORE ME!" Her voice echos through the class.
"Miss Brooks, do not ignore me." I mimick quietly, with a sneer and everyone bursts out laughing again.
Oh shit. That came out louder then expected.
I lift my head up again and look straight at the board. "Urm.. so the volcano-"
"PRINCIPALS OFFICE. NOW!" She screams, and I jump slightly, moving my gaze back to her. Her face full on red, and I could practically see the steam coming out of her ears.
I stay in my seat for a while, trying to stay calm. After a while I slowly lift myself off my seat and begin to gather my stuff up. After I'm done I shove them in my backpack and swing it over my shoulders.
"Shortie's slower than a slug." Michael comments showing off his lack of intelligence. In which everyone laughs again. I roll my eyes, making my way to the door and exiting, blocking out their annoying laughter.
Idiots.
I hate that class. But I don't mind the subject, it's just the teacher, and students who I really hate.
I fix the strap on my shoulder and begin walking but stop on my tracks when I see my sister far ahead. She has long dark brown hair-like mine. But her eyes are green which contrast to my grey ones. She's wearing a navy dress that goes up to her bare knees.
I could hear the clicks of her heels getting closer and I look around in panic.
She can't see me or I'm dead when I get home.
My eyes land on the grey bins just far to my right and I quickly dash towards them and scramble behind, squatting down.
I scrunch my nose up, inspecting the area. There was a rotten banana peel there, a...oh god what is that..no I'm not even gonna name what that is.

The stench here is so intoxicating I feel like puking eugh. I shuffle away from the trash with a grimace.
There's a bin here for a reason people!
I continue to shuffle away but my back hits something hard.
I let out a grunt, trying to push myself back. I crane my neck upwards and I furrow my brows.
Whose this hunk?
I run my eyes along his tall and bulky figure, he's a little over six foot. Damn everyone's tall in this area of London.
He's wearing a black suit- that's tight enough to show off all his muscles, and with that he's wearing a grey tie.
My eyes trail higher and stop at his face, meeting his dark blue eyes showing no emotion whatsoever. He has light coloured skin, with a mop of ashy blonde hair which is messy and raked at the back but what really draws my attention, is the long slanted scar on his left cheek...
Okay he's definitely not a student and most certainly not a teacher..
I swallow the lump thats formed in my throat.
What if he's a serial killer?
Nah, probably just Heidi's hookup. She always goes for the older guys...
My eyes land on his big pink lips, where a shiny silver ring is sticking out from his bottom one, making him look even more intimidating.
And also hot.
But mostly intimidating.
He suddenly squats down, causing me to snap out of my daze and meet his cold gaze once again.
"Heidi's sister, right?" His voice comes out deep and husky, as he slowly pushes the fallen strands of his hair backwards.
He raises a brow when I don't respond, and I quickly shake my head, my hair swaying in the process. "No." I lie, gulping again.
He stares at me intently, his lips tugging down into a frown, before shoving his hand into his jacket and fishing out a small paper. He looks at it then back at me, raising both brows. "What's your name?" He then asks.
"I-I..uh.. Robert, my name is Robert." I blurt out the first name that pops into my mind, nodding my head and blinking a few times.
He's silent for a while, before his lips twitch up. "Robert, huh?"
"Yes and what's your name?" I push my hair back, my gaze turning into a glare, his smirk making me feel slightly uneasy.
"Killian. Killian Scarce." He responds, his hand raising up as he begins to play with his lip ring.
"Scarce?" I snort, then my eyes land on his scarred cheek. "What a coincidence." I then look back to his eyes, with a smirk and he rolls his eyes, his expression turning back to its emotionless state.
"I know a Heidi" I then shrug, acting natural. "But just curious, how do you know her?"

"Curiousity killed the cat, my love." He simply says, his smirk reappearing, as he tilts his head.
I frown. "Which cat?" He rolls his eyes in response, his hand suddenly reaching forward, as he tucks the side of my hair to the back, exposing my neck, his intense eyes not leaving mine.
"Uh..what are you–OUCH!" I flinch hard when I feel a sharp pain on my neck.
His hand removes from me as he stares at me intently, his lips twitching up to another smirk.
Tears prick my eyes, as I shake my head. "Please don't–"
"Shh, relax, it's nothing." he mutters to me, his hand moving over to my jaw, running it along in a soft caress.
I push his hand away, causing his smirk to widen.
"I-I'm l-leaving." I stammer, sniffling and rubbing my eyes. "You're just a creepy little weirdo." I touch my neck, and remove it and see a tiny amount of blood.
He simply stares at me as I slowly stand to my feet, looking around before I look back down at him, anger washing through me.
"Go fuck yourself." I croak out, glaring at him and his eyes flash with anger.
"What was that?" He growls, his eyes darkening.
"Are you deaf? I said go fuck yourself, you little–"
He suddenly stands up and I flinch, as his tall height towers me. I look up at him and see his face beet-red with anger, his nostrils flaring.
My eyes drop to his fisted hands and I gulp slightly, walking backwards.
I turn around, but just when I begin to quicken my pace- I get pulled back roughly and land on his chest, hard, letting out a grunt.
"Listen here- Robert, I don't think you know who I–FUCK!" I kick his shins hard, his arm loosening and I pull myself out of his grip, glaring at him.
His eyes flash closed for a second, as he takes a deep breath, while I keep my gaze firmly on his face, taking quick steps backwards.
His eyes then flash open, his eyes much darker and furious.
"You shouldn't of fucking done that." He spits in a menacing tone, as he starts to take long strides towards me.
I poke my tongue out to him, before turning and dashing across the hallway, in full speed.
When I get in front of the principals office, I start to knock furiously.
"Come in." I hear his gruff tone.
I take one last look at Killian, and stick my middle finger up at him before opening the door and slamming it shut.
What a fucking creep.
I touch my neck again, rubbing the sore part slightly. What the fuck did he do to me? Why the fuck is Heidi's hook up even touching me like that?
"Where have you been?" principal Wilkins voice cuts me out of my thoughts.
I turn to him and he raises an eyebrow at me. He's an old man with salt and pepper hair and a scruffy beard and his face is full with wrinkles. He looks about sixty nine.
I open my mouth to say something but he silences me by shaking his head and ignoring my flushed face and ragged breathing.
"Uh..so you've received the email?"
"Yes. Indeed I have." He nods, pursing his lips. "I never expected this from you." He says gruffly, his voice laced with disappointment.
"I-Im sorry.." I mutter.
"A weeks detention, shall teach you a lesson." He shakes his head again, putting his glasses back on.
Ugh.
"Okay.."
He nods his head, before directing his gaze back to his computer.
"Dismissed."
I open the door to exit but my eyes immediately lock with my sisters angry burning gaze, with a firm scowl set on her face.
I suppose she heard everything then.
I look around and relax when I see no sign of Killian.
I look back at my sister, rolling my eyes. I then walk past her, bumping her shoulder in the process.
"Where do you think you're going?" I hear her screeching voice coming after me.
"Uh to class?" I say with a duh tone.
And they say I'm not the bright one.
She laughs dryly before grabbing my wrist, pulling me behind a staircase. When she stops I pull away roughly glaring at her.
"I hear you've got detention. Why?"
"That's none of your business." I sneer at her. She's so annoying.
"It's not?" She pouts, and starts playing with her manicured nails.
"Nope." I grit my teeth, trying not to yell.
"Oh alright I suppose I could let mom and dad know you've got detention then." She bites her lip and I resist the urge to punch her.
"I don't have detention. He just wanted to congratulate me for passing my science class." I lie.
"You? Passing?" She laughs. "Impossible."
"What. Are you jealous?" I say tilting my head.
"Why would I? I've already have my passes." she says and pauses to flip her hair. "And quit the act Layls I heard everything, Now do you want to tell me the reason to why you got detention or....?" Her smirk widens.
I scoff before walking off.
"Mom and dad it is!" She sings before I hear her heels clicking away.
"Whatever." I mutter before, fishing out my crumpled timetable from my bag- to check my next class.
I let out a groan, before shoving it back in my bag.
Maths, just great.

This goodness has a name, and a face of salvation and I for one know I shouldn't get involved. Guess what I do? I get involved. Because even if I don't want too that's not really how fate works, is it? You don't pick and choose fates plan, you get slammed with it and good luck to your poor soul. This is my story, the kind that was written years before I was even born, and now I'm living it. Watch me make a mess of it too, because after all, I wasn't born to follow. P.S. This book is technically #1, but I have a book before this one that's about their parents. You learn more, and get a clue about their parents and why they are the way they are. Some of the conversations in this book would make more sense by knowing the past. It's not as well written, but if you can get thought it, I promise you'll love this one even more. Of course if you rather start here, then you do you! It will make sense either way! I tired to fill in all the gaps without it getting overbearing. You can always hop back to the book before this after.
