《Sold To The Gangleader》chapter 4

The next morning I wake up from my phone ringing. I groan, before lifting myself up, and grabbing it from the bedside counter.
"What?" I grumble, as soon as I accept.
"Good morning to you too, sunshine." I hear Kaleb's cheery voice.
Ugh. Why's he up this early?
Its six in the morning!
"Kaleb." I groan, rubbing my eyes. "Why are you calling me at this time?"
He laughs "Get ready quick, I'm coming over in ten minutes. We're going out for breakfast."
"Wait, Wha-" the call ends.
I groan and jolt out of bed and begin to get ready. Eight minutes later I'm done and I run downstairs and open the door, just in time as Kaleb has his hand out to knock.
I glare at him "What are you playing at?!" I snap, looking up at his amused face.
"You better wipe that smirk off your face before I shove it up your ass." I growl, rubbing my eyes.
He lets out a deep chuckle, before crossing his arms and quirking a brow. "That's not possible."
"Trust me, anything is possible when I'm involved." I narrow my eyes at him and he rolls his eyes, letting out another laugh.
"Since you almost never have breakfast, I thought I could take you out." He shrugs, smiling which show-casts his dimples.
"And don't worry it's all on me. And while we're at it, you can tell me what's going on." His face straightens and I roll my eyes.
"Fine."
He smiles before we make our way, a scowl attached to my face.
I am not a morning person.
~~~~~~~~
While having breakfast with Kaleb, I discussed with him the situation at home, and after a while he finally agreed to just let it be and promised not to mention it anymore.
If it happens again you better let me know, I'll have to do something about it myself.
he had said. I lied saying I would, so he would get off my back.
I don't want to get the police involved because they'd just chuck me in some foster home and I definitely don't want that. They'd probably transfer me out to a different school too, so I think I'd rather wait till I'm older so I can move out.
It's lunch break now and I'm standing beside my locker, waiting for my friends.
I pop a piece of gum in my mouth and look at some Instagram posts, double tapping everything I see.
"Shit." I mumble.
I just liked one of Michael's posts.
"What's with the face?" I hear a deep voice.
I look up and see that it's Donald the duck, leaning against the lockers, looking down at me, with his hazel eyes.
He's wearing black jeans with a white T-shirt. His brownie-blondie hair is sleeked back with an orange bandana. He's over six feet tall.
He got his extremely tall height from his father, who passed away a long time ago, his mother however is short, a complete contrast to him and his father.
"Hey, how was basketball?" I smirk up at him, ignoring his previous question.
His face immediately scrunches up into a scowl, and he crosses his arms. "It sucked, I can't even catch the ball because of all those midgets–"
"Excuse me?" I glare up at him and he smirks in return.
"You're a cute midget" he grins and I roll my eyes.
What annoys me the most is when people always over exaggerate about my height acting like they've never seen a sixteen year old short person before. Get a grip. And anyway I don't even mind being this short, it does have its own perks after all.
I then sniff and wrinkle my nose. "Ew you stink!" I take a step back and he laughs.
"I've just had PE what do you expect?"
"At least use deodorant!" I exclaim, swinging my bag off and digging my hands in it fishing out my perfume.
"Woah what the fuck do you think you're gonna do with that?" His eyes widen as I take the lid off.
"Relax, it smells good." I then quickly spray it all over him.
"What the fuck!" He practically yells, his nose wrinkling up as he takes steps back.
I try to contain my laugh, but end up snorting with laughter.
"What's funny– woah.." Kaleb comes into view, immediately scrunching his nose up.
I must've used a little too much.
Donald glares at me, as he flaps his shirt around expecting the smell to disappear just like that.
"Donald finally got himself a girl, I see?" Kaleb smirk and Donald's eyes widen, before he directs his glare to Kaleb.
"He's hooked up with Heidi's best friend, Thalia." I snort again and he lets out a gag adding on to my laughter.
"Thalia's probably up Jacks' ass." he mutters and my laughter dies down.
Jack? Where do I remember that name from?
"Fuck no, this fucking stinks!"
I snap out of my thoughts looking up at Donald to see him looking through Kaleb's PE bag and I smirk again.
"You smell good, just leave it on."
He glares at me again, before letting out a sigh.
"I think I have a spare shirt actually.." I begin to rampage through my bag and he lets out a snort.
"Very funny." he rolls his eyes.
I open my mouth to say something, but Cara scurries over to us with a scowl.
"Mr Dicken's kept me behind." she mutters, but wrinkles her nose up, as her eyes glance up to Donald.
"Don't." He mutters when Cara opens her mouth and I smirk.
"So what did you do now?" I ask, leaning my back against the lockers.
She rolls her eyes, flipping her short lilac hair back with a grunt. "I broke his specs." she mutters quietly and my eyes widen.
"Let me guess, you're on your period." Kaleb smirks down at her and she lets out a huff.
"I swear he is so annoying, like. Has he ever heard of a tissue before?" She growls. "I'm there trying to do my work and he just fricking snorts up his boogers every five seconds and it fucking drives me insane!" Her voice raises slightly towards the end and I let out a laugh.
"So what did he do?" We then begin to make our way to the canteen.
"I got a detention." she growls, playing with her bag straps. "For a month."
Kaleb lets out a whistle. "That's your highest yet."
"Shut up." she rolls her eyes, rubbing her temple.
We enter the canteen and grab our food before sitting ourselves on a table. People around us crinkle their noses as their gazes land on us and I stiffle a laugh, glancing at Donald who just scowls.
I bite into my burger, feeling the ketchup slide down my chin. I wipe it off with my finger shoving it in my mouth before going for another bite, but half the donner suddenly slides out of my burger landing on the table.
I stare down at it, letting out a growl. "Fucking hell!" I fist up the Donner, quickly shoving it back in, before diving in and having another big bite.
They're basically just lamb strips. So good.
"You are so disgusting." Donald mutters and I glance up at him, rolling my eyes when I see ketchup smeared all over his face.
"Look at your own face, first of all." I bite back.
"I'm a man, men do these things" he rolls his eyes, as he takes another bite.
Oh he did not just say that.
I shove my hand in my burger taking out a long saucy Donner strip, before chucking it at him.
It lands square on his face, and I watch with a satisfied smirk as it slides down and onto his shirt leaving a saucy trail while the other two burst out laughing.
