《Secret Trio: A New Start (Old and discontinued)》Chapter 7

Jake took out the keys to his house. He opened them and let everyone in. His guests took a seat on the couch and examined the whole place. They were sitting on an orange sofa. There was a small coffee table. And the TV was in front. The living room only had one large window with some red curtains and no family pictures, whatsoever.
Jake sat in front of them, opening a box. Nomicon transferred as his human form and examined the gem. It really was the real deal.
"So, Jake..." Danny tried to start a conversation, "where are your parents?"
"New York."
"Are they dragons like you?" Howard asked, excitedly.
"Only on my mother's side."
"So there are a bunch of you?" Randy asked, raising a brow. Jake nodded.
"So, are they at work, or something?" Danny asked.
Jake shook his head, "my Gramps told me to finish my training on my own, so they moved me here. I really hated it when he decides something without my consent, but now I know why I have to be here."
"Wait, so you're on your own? How old are you?" Randy asked.
Jake looked annoyed, "I'm 17! I can take care of myself."
"You don't look 17," Howard snickered. Jake glared at him and replied, "I can burn you to crisps right now if I want to."
"No one's doing that," Nomicon intervened, "I can trackback the place where the other gems might be. But it will take a few weeks."
"Maybe this could help," Jake said as he handed Nomicon the ring. Nomicon starred in shock, "where'd you find this?"
"Nigel gave it to me."
"You're getting married?!" Howard asked as the other boys laughed.

"Be serious, you three! This is actually important!" Nomicon said.
"I figured," Jake said as he shrugged, "Nigel and I are in each other's throats but we have some sort some things out. But that does not mean he is my friend."
"What is Nigel?" Nomicon asked. Jake replied, "a wizard."
"Seriously?!" Howard always jumped off of his seat. "Yeah," Jake answered with a smile on his face.
"And he knows that you're a dragon?" Danny asked. Jake nodded, "we actually have this community called the Magic Community with all the magical creatures you can imagine. And I'm quite popular around it."
"Yeah right!" Howard laughed, as Randy joined too. Jake's face frowned, "I'm serious, dude. I even have a blog!"
Howard and Randy started laughing. Jake got up and got his laptop from his room. He then showed the boys his personal blog with more than a million followers. Howard's jaw dropped. Making Jake smirked with pride.
Nomicon walked towards them. He said, "the gems will take a few weeks find. Whenever there's a surge of power within your body, go to its source. It might lead you to the gems."
"Got it!" Randy said. Danny and Jake only nodded.
"Wait!" Howard yelled, "before we dismiss this meeting, I have a great idea!"
"WE COULD MAKE JAKE'S PLACE A HIDEOUT!" Howard yelled. "What the juice! Howard! You are a genius!" Randy yelled, giving him a high-five.
"I don't know guys," Danny said, "a little house doesn't seem... practical." Jake shrugged, "I do have a basement. We can make that our hideout, or just our meeting place."
"Yes," Howard said.
Danny was tossing and turning on his bed. He can't have a peace of mind. Even with the softest bed Vlad could provide. His eyes shot open. It was Jake's turn to patrol. He needs sleep. But he couldn't. He sighed and went ghost. And flew out of the mansion.

He doesn't know where he was going but he ended up in an abandoned playground. He doesn't know why, but something here seemed familiar. Familiar. He heard the swing creak behind him.
He turned and saw Dash. They locked eyes with each other. "Danny Phantom?" Dash asked, making sure he isn't dreaming. Danny chuckled, "the one and only."
"What are you doing here?!" Dash asked as he ran towards him, all fanboy and stuff. "I... couldn't sleep..." Danny said rubbing the back of his head. "Ghosts sleep?" Dash asked. Danny chuckled and replied, "not all. I'm a special kind of ghost."
"I could tell..." Dash blurted out. Dash's face was then a bright red, thanks to the moon, it was even brighter. He turned away, same as Phantom. Phantom, equally blushing.
"So... Um..." Danny tried to start a conversation, "what are you doing here? Aren't you supposed to be asleep?"
"Oh... Guilt is eating me," Dash replied. And so, the two started to converse. Sharing each other's stories. Danny trying to not detail his life too much. He might be found out. But with this idiot, who'll tell him that it's okay to slip up a few times? Dash is an idiot!
After a while, silence filled the playground. It was 3 in the morning. Danny looked at Dash who was sleeping in his shoulder. He will not admit it, but he looks cute.
Danny gently stood up and carried Dash back to his house and tucked him in his bed. Danny knew it was wrong, but he wondered around Dash's room. He even saw some photos of Dash's friends, posters of himself from Amity Park. But Danny couldn't help but pick up a sketch book wandering around Dash's room.
He picked it up and saw multiple drawings of him. Of course it was cool, but one caught him off guard. It was a drawing of Danny FENTON. Danny was an angel flying, high above the clouds, with a halo and everything. And there was even a poem written beside it.
Sky so clear
Oh, I wish my dear
I could touch your face
And kiss you with grace
Without you having to fear
Because I'll protect you
With so much sincere
Danny dropped the book, his face flushed with so many shades of red. He flew out of Dash's house and went straight to his bedroom. He turned to Danny Fenton and hid under his sheets, covering his face with his pillow, like someone would see his face flushed.
