《Alpha's Little Luna》Chapter 13

We make it down to the kitchen hand in hand. But the second we step through, I'm met with a very confused Koda.
Literally he's stands an inch or two before me.
He zoomed so fast In front of me I had to contain myself from jumping back yet again. What's up with werewolves and using their speed to scare the shit out of people?
Koda grabs my face moving it up, down, and all about assessing it. Good thing my neck still isn't sore or this would hurt like a bitch.
I take notice to Greyson's sudden stiffening when Koda touched me. I see him restraining himself as Koda assesses me confusingly. So, I squeeze his hand reassuringly. He sends the message back my squeezing my hand as well.
"But, I-your bruises?" He questions finally letting go of my face.
I giggle slightly, "About that-"
"I marked her," Greyson happily butts in sounding nothing short but proud of himself. I mean the proud smile, the proud stance, everything says that he's happy with what he did. I blush slightly at his bluntness, but Koda just smirks over to him.
Greyson lets go of my hand momentarily to give Koda another bro hug. From an outside witness it looks so awkward. But I guess you never know until you're the one doing it.
Koda quickly turns after he's done giving Greyson his quick hug and hugs me as well. I make sure to make it short so Greyson doesn't end up growling at his best friend.
"Congrats guys," he says sort of awkwardly. I'm sure he hasn't said that very many times and or it is his first time.
I see him take a quick glance at my neck, obviously looking at my mark. Though I don't care. I'm going to flaunt this mark, it looks badass.
"That actually...looks cool," he says laughing slightly, talking about my mark.
"Right? It totally makes me look badass." I say smiling.
"What about your ass?" A voice appears behind us. A very smug sounding voice.
All of our heads snap to a smirking Sebastian, though I'm sure he wants a death wish. I look over to Greyson and I see his jaw tightly clenched together. Even though it makes him look even more attractive-I don't know how that's even possible anymore. Should I butt into the conversation?
Greyson squares his shoulders still having a death grip on my hand, while I just stand helplessly awkward.
I gape like a fish. Constantly opening and closing my mouth, not finding the words to say. But then I see Sebastian smile. Lightly he pushes on Greyson's chest. "Relax dude," he chuckles. His eyes then traveling to me. Raising a finger he points at me. "I saw your mark a mile away, I was testing the possessiveness waters. And according to Grey's fiery look from the mention of your ass, I think the effects are in place." He smirks raising his eyebrows cheekily.
But this is just his personality. I've learned about his and Koda's from the span of being here.
Koda can be serious at times, he's very protective over his pack. He likes to joke around, and act goofy when he feels like it.
Sebastian, well he's a flirt. He knows I'm off limits since I'm Greyson's mate, but that doesn't stop him from teasing me.
Suddenly Greyson punches Sebastian's arm, not softly I might add.
Gasping I start to freak out because I think they're about to fight.
But then I see the slight smile playing on Greyson's lips. Seb rubs his arm where he got punched, a pained expression on his face. "You're a dick," Greyson laughs before turning around walking to the food laying out.

This leaves me next to Sebastian, where Koda already abandoned us to get scrambled eggs and bacon. I laugh as Seb still strokes his arm tenderly, "Why do you always pick with him even though you're the one that always gets hurt?"
He shrugs, rubbing his eyes under his glasses. "It's all worth it so I can see the little irritation vein. I miss that little bugger sometimes," he soulfully places his hand over his heart.
I snicker, "Irritation vein?"
"You haven't noticed yet?" He laughs, "Whenever Grey gets irritated a vein pops out on his neck. It's color is darker than most veins and so it's easier to see." He looks up as if he was remembering something, "I remember when Jar-" Sebastian quickly stops himself from saying a name that we both now despise.
I've never seen that sort of expression racing through Seb's eyes. He looks...angry? Maybe pained?
Greyson did tell me the four of them grew up together, and they all don't talk to him anymore. Soul reason: for me.
Yeah I felt terrible splitting up their little pact, but I didn't intentionally do it. Jared terrified me, end of story. Now I'm glad they don't talk to him anymore, after what happened last night.
"-Koda, Greyson, and I were in our little treehouse out in the woods." Sebastian continues. "We wanted to watch a movie, but there wasn't a VHS player there." I cover my mouth hiding my smile. I haven't used and or seen a VHS in ages.
"How old were you guys?" I blurt.
He scrunches his face, "Ehh nine? Maybe?" Just thinking about little Greyson makes me smile wider. "But anyways, Grey brought his favorite movie so all of us could watch it. We all soon found out that we couldn't watch it, since we didn't even have a TV in our treehouse. But I, being a complete dumbass thought of a different way to watch the movie."
Again I cover up my smile forming upon my lips, I can see little Seb now. Thinking he has the best idea in the world, making his brown eyes twinkle in achievement. "So, what I did was that I got a flashlight Koda brought for when it turned dark outside, and I grabbed the tape Grey brought." He smiles fondly at the memory, "and I ripped the film from the movie and shined the flashlight on it. Now I thought that the picture, and the sound would play on the wall."
I snort, but I keep in my laughter so he can finish the story, "I was terribly wrong. All I got from that 'amazing' idea was the sight of the irritation vein, and a bloody nose."
That's it, I can't take it anymore.
Releasing the palm covering my mouth, I release a very loud laugh. Sebastian joins along with me as I hear his very distinctive deep chuckle. Clutching my stomach as all of the air releases from my gut and my little snorts exit. I blush deeply knowing everyone in the kitchen and or pack house can hear my embarrassing laugh, but I can't seem to stop.
I mean minutes have passed and I'm still laughing my ass off as if Seb just told the story. A heavy hand then places on my shoulder, "Why are you laughing so hard." An amused voice asks beside me. Shaking my head I hug my arms around my body unable to respond. So Seb does it for me.
"I told her of the time you punched me in the nose 'cause I ruined your favorite movie. But, I told her that sometime ago."

Greyson chuckles beside me, "Oh yeah. I do remember that. But why are you still laughing?" He asks and I can just see the smirk on his face.
I mean is it illegal to laugh?
I don't know why but that just irritated me. I mean am I not allowed to laugh? Can I not have fun?
So instead of me ending my laughter with a smile, I end it with a scowl. "Tell me Greyson, is it a crime to laugh or something?" I flinch away from his touch so I can look him in the eyes.
"What the- mood swing?" Sebastian whispers but I just ignore him.
Greyson's face holds confusion as I angrily cross my arms. I have a right to laugh, I have a right to feel happy. Or does he not want me to? "I thought you were my mate? I thought you wanted me to be happy?" Greyson takes a step towards me reaching out, but I just stubbornly take a step back. "I don't want to be touched by a shaggy ass werewolf! Let alone be a mate to one!" I fume.
Then I see his expression. He blinks repeatedly at me, I can't pinpoint one emotion rushing through his eyes. There's anger, confusion, but mostly sadness.
I mean I don't even know where I got that? Why did I just act out all of the sudden? I just had fury rushing through me, for some unknown reason. And I acted on it, I acted on Greyson.
My eyebrows quickly unfurrow from their anger, and raise. They raise at finally registering my behavior. I can see I hurt Greyson with words I don't even believe myself.
Shakily I raise my hand to my mouth, I hurt Greyson.
I now see Sebastian standing flabbergasted a few feet away from me. Faye sometime arrived while I wasn't paying attention, only to stop eating her meal and stare at us. And Koda stands at the stove, not stirring the food anymore. They all freeze hearing my sudden outburst.
My head darts around as I look to every one of them. All of them shocked at my statement. All of them some what offended by my werewolf comment. Greyson mostly offended by saying I didn't want to be his mate anymore.
I have nothing against them or Greyson! I don't even know why I said it! And now I feel terrible.
Not knowing what to do I run towards Greyson. I see the look of shock right before I engulf him into an embrace. Ignoring the sudden tingles I get by touching him, I nuzzle my head into his chest. "I'm s-sorry! I don't know why I even said that, I don't have anything against werewolves. It-it's just that I got mad for some reason. And I acted on my fury." Suddenly tears start to fall from my eyes. Many, many, many tears. "I'm so so-sorry!" I sob into Greyson's chest.
Why the hell am I acting like this? First I laugh for ages, then I blow up on anger, and now I'm sobbing and apologizing.
Finally after what feels like minutes, Greyson acts into the hug. He wraps his arms around my shoulders, almost immediately calming me down. His embrace is warm and soft, as he pets the back of my head smoothing down my hair. "Shh it's not your fault," he says softly.
I sniffle pulling back slightly so I can look up to him. Quizzically I stare into his blue eyes , and he stares right back down to my green orbs.
Greyson places his hands on my face, lightly stroking the tears off my cheeks. My eyes blink heavily at the heat radiating off his hands. "It's the mark little one. It's making your emotions all funky," he chuckles. "It happens to everyone who gets marked, don't worry."
"Yeah, but I've never seen it that bad." Sebastian speaks up, making me feel so much better.
Greyson sends him a death glare, I could tell he was about to hit him. But Faye beat him to it, smacking him upside the head harshly. I have to contain the laughter that's now suddenly starting to bubble in my stomach. "Ow Faye! What the hell was that for?" Seb yells rubbing his head. Faye smirks triumphantly, I see Greyson doing the same out of the corner of my eyes.
"For being a dumbass!" Faye laughs.
Looking back up to Greyson, "Am I really the worse you've seen? You know, with handling all of these funked up emotions?" I ask almost bashfully.
"I mean-"
"Don't sugar coat it," I poke his rock hard abs. Those beautifully sculpted piece of muscle.
He sighs, "Most people don't act as extreme as you did. But you're the Alpha's mate," he smirks pulling me close to him. I smile widely up to him, feeling the butterflies erupt in the pit of my stomach. "You're the Luna. There's more power in this mark than most."
Suddenly I hear a gagging noise, completely oblivious that we still have an audience. My head snaps to Koda, "Please go somewhere else. I don't want the food to taste bad."
"Yeah if you're going to fuck, please don't do it in the kitchen. I eat here!" Sebastian then complains. My mouth immediately drops as blush obviously takes up my face. Greyson wiggles slightly in my tight grip around him, I know he's not completely against that idea. Woah there bud, keep it PG-13, I scoff in my head.
"Make outs count as PG-13 right?" A very familiar voice pops into my head. Looking up I see Greyson smirking down to me. He just-he just talked to me inside my head. He heard what I thought.
Before I have time to ask him about it I see Faye chuck a salt shaker across the room at Koda. As she punches Sebastian in his stomach.
Koda yells with the sudden contact of the solid shaker, as Sebastian doubles over with the force of her punch. Damn, wouldn't it be nice if I had her strength.
Faye and I suddenly make eye contact and she fondly smiles to us. "The nice way to put it, is that you guys should just go up the your room. A private room. Not where a pup could walk in at any moment, and take away their virgin eyes." She chuckles patting Seb's back, as he rests his elbows upon his knees breathing heavily.
Suddenly Greyson's hands travel down my sides, painfully slow sending shocks through his fingertips. He bends down gripping underneath my thighs, just below my butt. "Don't have to ask me twice!" He says happily lifting me into the air.
I yelp clinging on desperately to him, wrapping my legs tightly around his midsection. Hugging him tightly as my arms wrap tightly around his neck. Turning around he makes his way out of the kitchen, "But I haven't even had breakfast yet..." I whine.
He stops right as we're about to leave the kitchen, "You're right!" Hurriedly he runs to the back of the kitchen where Koda is cooking the bacon.
Turning around to where Greyson's back is facing Koda and my face in his direction Greyson says, "Koda?" He says and I can already see the smirk on his lips.
Koda smiles picking up a slice of bacon, "Got it!" He cheerfully says. I furrow my eyebrows opening up my mouth about to ask what they're doing. Until Koda lunges forewords shoving the piece of bacon in my gaping mouth. I gag as the bacon touches the back of my throat.
Both Greyson and Koda laugh as I pull the bacon from my mouth holding it in my hands. "Thanks Koda!" Greyson yells over his shoulder as he's already walking out of the kitchen.
I hear Faye's high giggles, while both Koda and Seb chuckle lowly. I bet they're happy we're leaving their company.

The Ruined Monks of Rothfield Monastery
Erin is the youngest member of the dark monks; a supernatural brotherhood whose ultimate mission is to improve the dire circumstances of poor, war-torn villages using powers unique to each member. Or so he was led to believe. Erin, like his brothers, does not age, and that is, unfortunately, the only trait he shares with them. He cannot charm or compel like Woodrow, he cannot cast illusions like Knox, he was not swift like Swithin, not powerful like Blake. He was barely an assistant to his dear brother Wilbur, with his herbology and alchemy. He was told to lie low and make himself scarce. That is what he did. The dark monks temporarily reside in abandoned monasteries scattered around the country, feeding the poor and healing the sick, nurturing the monastic lands until it was fertile enough to raise crops and rear animals. As the years passed, they would leave these reformed, repopulated, self-sustaining monasteries and venture froth to help the next settlement. Yet, after years of toiling and quiet servitude, Erin notices that people and the country itself are declining. The villagers look gaunt, the once-lush soil now barren and cracked. He begins to feel disheartened, thinking that their mission is proving futile. Still, their leader Blake is steadfast and charges onward, and lately has his eyes set on a certain monastery in a thick, thorned forest that seems to diminish, even nullify their powers. A thick forest that Erin somehow has a connection to. A thorned glade where an ethereal voice calls his name with one simple request along with a promise:Heal the land, child. Heal the land and I promise to give you sanctuary so long as you stay. I promise to nurture you as you nurture me. As Erin cultivates the land, the land, in turn, gifts all its caretakers with new, enhanced skillsets on top of their unique powers -- skills of protection, healing, and magic. Magic. Erin had long wished to see the world fill with it again. The people, regardless of common or noble blood, still believe that magic will enter this world again. Magic to bless the king like it did the Saints. Magic to dispel the miasma befouling the world. Magic to bring back the fae folk and their many forms. It is up to Erin to forge the many paths leading to a bright future; to build a prosperous paradise that welcomes all races and bloodlines, by mastering the rewards gained through agriculture, horticulture, and animal husbandry, smithing, crafting, and fishing. Erin may also find a lifelong friendship and romance with his neighbor, Claude, if he decides to pursue him, and may even join him in the military campaign outside the monastery. The darkness still lurks outside, after all, and the mastery of his skills, along with a few good friends, may finally be enough to turn the tide in their favor. Most of all, Erin wants to keep the vow he set for himself: to protect everyone and everything he loves until his dying breath.
