We left the room and I could finally breathe easy again, the smaller room made his scent and presence seem even larger, and over time it got worse, a whimper was on the tip of my tongue, I was fighting off shudders, my skin itching, coming out in goosebumps. My body felt weak, I was surprised my legs didn't buckle on the way out with how unsteady I felt.

My mother led me out with a hand on my shoulder, through the large seating area and to the entranceway. My parents were speaking to each other, but to me, their voices were muffled. My body started to tremble, my breaths hastening for some reason, I took a step and my legs gave out. Dad managed to catch me, pulling me against his chest. I fisted my hands in his shirt, breathing in his comforting scent, letting him take my weight. He scooped me up, carrying me bridal style, I dropped my head against his shoulder and closed my eyes, my head spinning, my body feeling hot and not my own.

"Carnet! Dear, what's wrong?" My mother's concerned voice reached my ears and I felt her hand on the side of my face, her thumb rubbing my cheek soothingly.

My body twitched, jumping lightly in my father's strong arms, a pained and weak whimper escaping past my lips.

In the distance I heard a door open and close, then two pairs of footsteps gradually getting louder, accompanied by the smell of dominance and primal pheromones. I panted, quiet whimpers and whines sounding from my throat, my body heating up even more.

"Is everything all right?" The Alpha's deep baritone rumbled.

"I don't know Alpha, Carnet just collapsed and he's burning up." My mother informed, her tone full of concern, her cool palm gliding over my heated skin, feeling my temperature.

"Maybe you should take him to the infirmary." his Beta's voice advised.

"I'll take him, you shouldn't miss your breakfast." the Alpha declared and I felt him get closer, which only seemed to worsen my condition. My father seemed reluctant to let me go but he passed me over to the Alpha, his touch sending shocks across my skin, making me gasp and tremble even more strongly. He held me much like my father had, my nose extremely close to his neck, right where his scent glands were, his smell was so thick and overpowering, my insides feeling molten, the base of my spine aching uncomfortably.

The Alpha started to walk and I could hear his Beta following, I got jostled lightly with each step, my body getting rocked. They quickly entered a room, the sounds of doors being opened and closed before they came to a stop, a new voice reaching my ears. "Alpha, it's very nice to see you, how can I help?" a female voice asked.

The Alpha bent down and I was lowered onto a cold and slightly yielding surface. I whined as he set me down, taking a step away, I curled up on my side, my body jerking with strong shivers, my breathing sounding very loud in my ears.

The lady quickly came over and I felt her cold hands on my forehead. "He's very warm," she stated and I heard her moving around the room, the rustle of things and then she came back. I felt a cool object on my lips, thin and smooth. "Come on dear, I need to check your temperature," she spoke softly to me and I allowed the thermometer into my mouth, putting it under my tongue. She took it out after a few moments, a quiet hum coming from her throat.

"He's got a significant temperature," she told the Alpha. "His breathing sounds irregular as well." she continued and my sweater was lifted, something pressing against my chest, it moving around a few times, my guess a stethoscope. She made a contemplative sound, the stethoscope being removed.

To my surprise, the button and zip of my jeans were undone. "Could you help me roll him over?" she asked and the Alpha's rough and torrid hands gently gripped my side and thigh, pulling me towards him, rolling me onto my stomach. Her cold hands touched my lower back under my sweater, slipping lower and I felt them touch my tail bone, two fingers pushing either side of it. A burning sensation shot down my spine and I groaned, my back arching, my spine feeling like it was being stretched far past the limit it was supposed to. My scalp tingled, my hair felt as if it was being pulled, my jaw felt tight, and my gums tingled.

I grunted as the feelings of the change rippled over my body, feeling as if I was going to shift into my wolf, my bones softening ready to be reformed, my skin loosening and turning stretchy, my pores opening, ready for the fur to sprout out. I didn't shift though, the feeling slowly abated and I sighed in relief, my body cooling down and my breaths coming easier. Whatever she did it seemed to of worked.

I heard some gasps above me and something brushed against my lower back, it felt soft, almost like a feather. My scalp shifted, muscles that shouldn't be there making something move. I opened my eyes, my vision a little unfocused, making me feel disorientated. I blinked a few times, shaking my head to clear it. I turned my head, looking back over my shoulder, seeing my sweater rode up and my loosened jeans low on my hips, a familiar red, black-tipped tail swished in the air. What was my tail doing out whilst I was in human form? Something twitched atop my head so I lifted my hand to feel what it was, finding a set of soft pointed ears. The doctor lady turned me into a furry or something!

I turned an accusatory look in her direction, but they all seemed fascinated by the tail and ears I'd sprouted. From their attention my ears pulled back nervously, my tail swishing through the air slowly against the back of my legs.
