The atmosphere was tense. A bit too tense and it was honestly ticking Louis off. He could see his best mates trying hard to keep away from one another and he could see Liam just rolling his eyes and averting his attention back to his phone. Louis sighed. It was always like this. Either Niall and Harry would be going at each other or they would be ignoring one another. As much as Louis loved his friends, even he had to admit that they were probably more immature than him and definitely more annoying.
"Oh for fuck's sake, would you two just kiss and make up?" The feathery brunette groaned. "I'm the one getting a divorce and you two look more devastated than me." He rolled his eyes, kicking the back of Harry's chair a bit too harshly, causing the man to tumble a little before regaining his composure.
"It's too soon for you to be making jokes about it," Liam chuckled, his smile disappearing when he noticed the heated glare Niall was passing at him. The thick tension was back and none of them knew how to get rid of it. They were all sitting together, waiting for their new song writers and producer to make an appearance. It was a late night decision to finally start working on a new album and they had all quickly walked into the meeting room, early morning, ready to fire up ideas or turn them down.
"Liam shut up and you guys," Louis pointed a finger towards the curly haired brunette and the dyed blonde sitting next to him, looking grumpy and annoyed like always, "you both need to solve your differences. It's getting a bit too much. There are way too many articles on the magazines, speculating a break up. I don't think our management team will be very happy with that."
"As long as we give the world a music worth listening to, I don't think our love life matters as much." Niall huffed, knowing well that his argument was about to be proved wrong. He was fairly aware of how the girls and even boys on twitter just hung on to their relationship status. He had seen so many girls asking him about it during their meet and greets and as annoying as it was, he kind of understood where they were coming from. Everybody dreamed about getting once chance with their idols, dating them, being with them even as friends or just knowing them. He didn't blame any of the fans for imagining that if the boys were single, they probably had a shot. But before Louis or worse yet, Harry, could tell him how wrong he was, the door to the room opened, revealing a bald man wearing a perfectly tailored coat that just reeked of money and big rimmed glasses. He smiled briefly at them before sitting right in front of them on the rotating chair.

"'Hello boys." The man's voice was firm, his lips tightened into a flat line. The blonde shivered in his place, not liking the way he was practically observing all of them. He leaned a bit towards Harry, forgetting for a moment that they were supposed to be fighting.
"Who is he?" Niall whispered into the curly brunette's ears.
"I have no clue babe." Harry replied softly, not removing his gaze from the bald man's face.
"I'm Henry Sanford. Me and my team are the ones in-charge of your latest album and the promotions thereof." He smiled, a toothy grin taking over his firm expression. It made everyone in the room relax a little. It was always difficult to work with a new face, mostly because they were unfamiliar with how to manage and handle the boys. Promotions were always weak and mostly fan centered and Niall just hoped that this man and his team would be a bit different than all the previous ones they had worked with. "I will be assistant directing all your music videos. That's my only job apart from fixing up your interviews and getting the name of the album across to a large number of people. Everything regarding the promotion of your new album will happen through me. Nobody else but me. However, you have the right to give your suggestions and anything related to songs and tracks does not fall in my court. I'm merely a director and an expert at sales. Multi-talented you can say." He chuckled.
"We have a few songs written up but we still have to work upon the finishing touches and the final recordings." Liam frowned, staring at the thick fingers of the man. He looked experienced, definitely, but no matter how experienced people were, they somehow fucked up on getting their album through. Sure, they had big successful sales but that was all thanks to the loyal fans. Now, after coming back into the scene after such a long time, they definitely needed strong promotions. Liam had seen countless fans leaving them on twitter or turning against their life choices. He didn't understand how who they dated concerned their fans but nonetheless, he respected them all for the support they had offered.
"You have a sufficient time to work with it. Don't stress yourself out. We don't have to present an album right now but we need to be prepared. You've already made a grand entry with your relationships making the headlines and the short interviews you have been attending. Now we have planned something much bigger. Something that will shock everyone up," Henry smiled, his eyes trailing from Niall's face and then towards Harry. An uneasily feeling settled in the blonde's stomach. He had seen such an expression on the face of Simon when he had announced that they needed a fake relationship, an in-band relationship to get everybody's panties in a twist, to get them involved into One Direction once again. Girls were a sucker for some gay action and in this way, they could even reach for the LGBT community which was gaining power by every passing day. Hence, Narry was formed.

"What is your plan?" Louis asked impatiently, rubbing his hands together as he waited for some sort of response to come. He wanted to do nothing more than go back home, to his son who was currently with his mother but Louis would have him again for the weekends. He didn't let his attention wander towards the papers pressed against the back pocket of his jeans. Him and Zayn had decided to meet up, along with their lawyers, to discuss the terms and arrangements. None of them wanted much out of the other. Just a signing of a non disclosure agreement, stating that both the parties can't mention anything about their marriage and relationship to the public. The agreement was supposed to distance them from each other, separate them for once and for all. Louis sighed loudly.
"You alright?" Harry whispered, watching how every eye in the room had turned towards the oldest band member.
"I'm fine. Now, what's the big plan?" He muttered a bit rudely, impatience dripping his tone.
"When you both," Henry pointed towards Niall and Harry, "were made to fake date one another, it caused a havoc. Every newspaper, every magazine, every tabloid was shaken up. Fans who had been rooting for Larry Stylinson were shocked and the twitter feuds and trends brought the band into the news. After two years of silence, One Direction made a comeback with a fake relationship. It was easy for your previous team to work according to that. Keep you guys in picture, put you in pretty romantic settings and soon, you were even voted for as the Britain's Hottest Couple. You were number one while all those other genuine relationships couldn't stand a chance because your fans are quite simple, the best." The bald man laughed.
"So what are you trying to say?" Harry asked, not liking where the conversation was heading. He had a fair idea about what the man was indicating at and he was certain that all of them did.
"If your getting together can get so much press attention, imagine the havoc that would take place if you guys broke up. No more Narry, no more pretending to be gay and in love. And that's when we'll announce your album name and release date. If we're fast enough, we can even release a song from your new album at the same time and I assure you that it will sell faster than anything ever has." Henry smiled, staring at all the boys down. He ignored the way Niall's eyes widened at the news and how Harry was just shaking his head, as if he suspected that this would happen sooner or later.
"You're going to break them up just because you want the album to have high sales?" Liam scoffed.
"If they could get together to bring you boys into the limelight, they can damn well break up to get your album to number one. Worldwide, this time." The old man grinned. "So what do you boys say?" He paused a little, staring deeply at Niall before doing the same with Harry.
"No more of Britain's Hottest Couple?"
