(your pov)
The next few days were the same as the last. Training, Gojo popping in about my eyes, eating at the dining hall, talking with Nobara and Megumi, all that. It was sorta fun talking with them, I guess. But I just feel so empty without Itadori. I mean, yes I'm surrounded by people but none that truely know me and now that the one person who does know me is gone I feel like I'd have no one to turn to.
Nobara tells me that it's ok to not be ok and that I can talk to her. Honestly there were times where I was training with Maki and I could've just flat out let her hit me and I wouldn't care because I just didn't want to be there.
"Y/n, get up. You're fighting's getting sloppy" Maki demanded. I groaned. I could barely keep my eyes open cuz I hadn't been sleeping well. If at all. "Oi, stay focused." She said. I rolled my eyes. "Tch" I scoffed. "I'm tired, can't I just get the day off??" I asked Gojo, who was not paying attention. "Hm?" He hummed. "Tch, whatever" I said.
Getting back in my battle stance and readying up my katana, Gojo fucking stopped me. "What" I said. "Take the day off" He grinned. "Huh-" I asked before he pat me on the back to get me going back to my room.
As soon as I opened my door I immediately flopped on my bed. I just felt so tired. I didn't want to move. I didn't want to speak to anybody. I didn't even want to exist. Doing that was more tiring than anything, really.
A few moments later, I heard a knock on my door. "Who is it" I yelled. "It's Nobara" She said. "Come in" She opened the door and found me like this. "Oi! Why aren't you training?!" She exclaimed. "Gojo told me to take the day off or whatever" I answered. "Why??" She questioned. "Why don't you ask him instead of bothering me" I sneered. She rolled her eyes. "Well, you're not gonna be a lump forever" She stated.
"Didn't say I was gonna" I said. "It's just the single day off. You could use one too. Don't act like that make up's gonna cover those deep ass eye bags of yours" I continued. She scoffed. "Yeah, that's why I'm here. Gojo gave all three of us, you me and Megumi the day off" She said. "Tch. Megumi's taking it really well. Why does he get the day off??" I questioned. She shrugged.
Nobara finished unpacking whatever she'd brought with her and I almost went to sleep. "Oi! Don't fall asleep yet, you bed potato. You and I are gonna help each other get through this stage of depression!" She said. I rolled my eyes. "What makes you think it's a stage for everybody" I mumbled. "Tsk. Damn it, Y/n. Just because you don't have Itadori to protect, doesn't mean that all other lives aren't worth it!" She scolded.
"Ok? Including yours" She continued. "Alright? Don't kill yourself just yet" She said. "Whatever" I replied.
Her and I binge watched the yuri anime 'citrus.' Yep. All of it. Every 12 episodes of that dramatic ass anime.
"Tch. Why can't Yuzu just accept what Mei's giving her?! I mean, it's christmas night! If I were her, I would've been taking all of it" Nobara exclaimed. I rolled my eyes. "You'll find out soon enough" I said. "Wait you've already seen this??" She asked. I nodded. "REALLY?! IS THERE A HAPPY ENDING??" She asked with stars in her eyes. "Tch, why would I tell you that???" I scoffed.
"Becauseee I'm getting anxiety because of this anime??" She answered. I sighed. "Well, you saw how Mei and Yuzu were kissin happily at the end of the opening?" I said. She nodded. "Well, take a wild guess" I said. Nobara contemplated that for a second. "Ohhh so it IS a happy ending!! Oh thats so WONDERFUL!!" She said happily. I sat back on my headboard.
"Yep. A happy ending" I said quietly. She turned to me. "Hey- don't get all down just cuz I mentioned something that you can't seem to get right now. Don't worry. You'll get your happy ending soon" She smiled and tapped my cheek. "Eh- Oi! Enough with the sudden affection! You're being weird" I told her off. Nobara cackled. "Oohhh someone's all flustered uppp" She teased.
"YOU-" I stopped before she booped my nose. "Hey, since we got the day off, let's go to Harajuku!" She suggested. I rolled my eyes. "Sure. Whatever" I replied.
.
"Oi, losers!" I called out to the ones on the training field. They all turned to me. "Back for some more?" Maki smirked. I frowned with a small blush. "I- no?!" I yelled. Megumi rolled his eyes. "Tch. Whatever. Nobara and I are going to Harajuku, so tell Gojo we'll be back later on this afternoon or in the evening?" I asked. "Uh huh" Maki grumbled. I raised a brow. "What? Disappointed in not training with me?" I teased. She rolled her eyes. "Go to Harajuku, will you!?" She yelled.
"Whatever" I said before turning around to find Nobara walking towards me. "Ready?" She asked. "Yup" I said bluntly. And off we went.
.
"Oh my god Y/n that sushi was so DELICIOUS!!" Nobara exclaimed. I rolled my eyes. "It was alright" I mumbled. An irk appeared on her face. "Oi, nothing wrong with spending the day off with your good friend at Harajuku! No reason to be so sour right now!" She yelled. "Tch" I scoffed and put my hands in my pockets of my usual red hoodie and baggy black pants; Nobara didn't seem to agree with my style, but brushed it over her shoulder.
"Nobaraaa! Dontcha think this is a little late?! I mean, it's already 9 o'clock and we have to be back by 10:30" I said. "Tch, that's like an hour and a half away! We have plenty of time!" She exclaimed. I rolled my eyes as she dragged me by my hand.
"Ugh, nevermind. I don't remember giving Gojo my number but he texted us to come back" Nobara groaned. "It's like he heard you say that. Sheesh. Makes me wonder if he's following us around" She continued. "Wouldn't be that surprising" I said. "Creepy as that is" I mumbled.
x
"Man, I'm spe- oi! The hell are you guys doin out?!" Nobara yelled. Maki and Megumi were still training. "Training, what's it look like?" Megumi answered. "Having a ritual" I replied. Nobara cackled.
"Oi, Y/n, stay down here" Maki said. I rolled my eyes. "At least let me change into more fitting clothes" I said. "Fine. You get 5 minutes" She said. "Tch" I scoffed before jogging back to my room.
"Mann, why's Maki-san always wanting to spend time with you??" Nobara questioned. "Why's it bothering you?" I asked. She blushed. "Nothing. No reason" She mumbled. "Tch. Whatever" I said before going to my room.
"Uh, whatcha doin in here??" I questioned, seeing Nobara come in my room with me. "Getting my stuff, obviously. I'm not just gonna leave it here with you" She said. I rolled my eyes.

Nobara got her stuff and left, then I changed into some other clothes for training. Apparently, someone came in my room while we were gone at Harajuku cuz I found this other pair of clothes. It had a black sleevless turtle neck with black, slightly baggy pants and what looked like a bandage wrapped around it. Also a little kunai pouch on my right leg. And some elbow high fingerless gloves.
"Jeez, what am I? Part of the Anbu or something???" I questioned. (yuhh see the naruto references??;)) I got that on and surpisingly it fit well. Apparently it wasn't a turtle neck, it just had a mask.
"Damn, what's up with my outfits and having masks??" I questioned.
,,
I got out to the training field where Megumi lay on the ground and Maki standing over him. (alexa play that should be me💀) "What. Decided to look fancy tonight for when I beat your ass?" Maki questioned. I rolled my eyes. "No. This was just in my closet" I said. "Yuh huh" Maki smirked. "It was" I reassured. "Uh huh. Whatever. Anyways, Y/n, switch out with Megumi" She continued.
I switched with Megumi and got in front of Maki. "Don't hold back, squirt" She said. My face was set on fire once again. "Huh??" I questioned. She shook her head. "God, stop being so dirty minded!" She yelled. I rolled my eyes. "You're the one who said squirt" I mumbled. "What was that?" She asked. "You're the one who said squirt" I spoke up. She chuckled. "And you're the one who thought of it like that" She retorted.
"Tch, are we training or flirting" I questioned. Her eyes narrowed. "Why not both?" She asked. I frowned then rolled my eyes. "Roll your eyes again, tell me whatcha see back there with that soft brain of yours" She said. "When did you 4th grade your humor?" I asked. She chuckled again.
"Oi! No flirting on the field!" Megumi yelled. I pulled up my mask to hide my blush. "Shut up Megumi 'I have a girl name' Fushiguro!" I yelled. Nobara cackled, walking down the walkway from the bleachers. "Yeah, emo edgelord" She chimed in. "Tch" He scoffed.
I saw Maki laughing and shaking her head, so I thought it'd be a good time to run at her. I headbutt her into the ground and pinned her down. "Gotcha" I slightly smirked. She smirked back before wrapping her arm around my shoulder, flipping my over and switched the roles. "Gotcha back" Her smirk grew even wider. "Yeah, yeah keep goin! I'm gonna put this on porn hub!" Nobara yelled with her phone out.
"I- WHAT?!" I yelled, kicking Maki off. She broke the fall with her palms. I got back up and made a katana, per usual. "Oi, we're training in fist fighting today" Maki said. "You mean tonight?? It's like 10:30!" I yelled. "Yeah, Maki-san, we're tired" Nobara stood up. "Well are you tired?" Maki turned to me. "Mentally, yeah but not physically" I said. She grinned. "Great" She said.
She ran at me as I got my lightning fist out. Like a few days ago with the curses, I saw her moves and went for the opposite. Punching her in her left side instead of her right.
"Oh, so you can control it?" She said. "Guess so. I was just thinking I needed it for training with you and it just popped out" I said. Maki didn't say anything back, though. "Maki?" I asked. She just stood still. "Makiii" I said, waving my hand in her face. "Tch. Maki!" I yelled, popping her nose. Sure enough that brought her back. "The hell?" She asked. "You were zoning out" I said.
"Not sure I was.." She started. I lifted a brow. "Whatever" She said.
We continued training until like midnight. "Maki, come on! I'm getting tired!" I yelled. "Tch, you weren't tired an hour ago" She said, helping me up. And, just like the other day, she let go. "God damnit!" I yelled as my head hit the ground. She chuckled. "You're strong until the first time you hit the ground. You get vulnerable after that" She said. "Such kind words" I said.
"Alright, for real this time" She said, holding her hand out. I looked at it then back at her. "You sure?" I said. She smiled. "Yes" She said, pulling me up. Unfortunately, she pulled a little to hard and we got a little close.
"Woah there, sport. Not like that" She said. A blush appeared on my face. "Fuck- really??" I said. My face was basically in her chest now. "Tch, I'm leaving. I'm tired as fuck" I said. "Hold on, idiot" Maki said. I turned around; an invisible question mark over my head. She tossed me my empty water bottle. "Thanks. I guess" I mumbled that last part.
"Might as well walk with me, since we're neighbors now" She said, catching up with me. I looked over at a sleeping Nobara in the bleachers. "I'll just leave her there. She looks comfortable anyways. And plus, I don't want her to return the favor for me sometime later on with something like a little peck on the cheek" I explained. Maki chuckled. "So you like her?" She asked.
A blush appeared on my face and I pulled up my mask again. "Tch, no. I don't really fall in love with anyone" I said. Maki's face went confused. "Well, that's none of my business" She said. I rolled my eyes. "You asked if I like her, I said no, so I should tell you why, while we're still out here" I said, stopping. She turned to me and huffed.
"Fine." She sat down on the bleachers.
"Alright," I started. "As you know, I said I don't fall in love with anyone. Reason being, my parents always argued when I was younger. I was always convinced they were still in love, just had their differences. Well, one day, I came home from playing with my friends when I was 9, and found them arguing for the last time. My mom promised me she'd help me live a better life before she left. Tch. That lying cunt never came to visit me once. We still talked, though. Over the phone.
"And my dad explained to me that they were getting a divorce. And after that, my dad started bringing home different girls each day. I wondered how he had the time for that. Anyways, my parents were prime examples on why I don't and should never fall in love" I explained. Maki just stared. "Oh..I'm sorry to hear that" She said quietly.
Let's be real. You know damn well you don't care. I thought as she looked down. "It's fine" I lied. "Actually, no, I platonically fell in love with Itadori" I excused. She looked at me. "..I really am sorry that he died. And I'm sorry for being a bitch about it the other day" She said. I slightly smiled. "It's fine; it wasn't your fault anyways. You didn't know" I said.
"Well, I hope that you do fall in love some day and don't end up like your parents. You deserve to be happy. Especially after all that" She rubbed my cheek and I blushed a little. "Thank you" I whispered. She smiled and pulled me into a hug.
"Also, Maki" I said. She let go. "Hm?" She asked. "Don't flirt with me like that again next time we're training" I said. She shrugged. "Oi!" Nobara yelled. We turned to her. "What" I said. "It's like, 12:15! Why the hell are we still out here?!" She exclaimed. I rolled my eyes. "Don't worry about it" I said. Maki chuckled. "Lucky I didn't catch you two scissoring in front of me" Nobara grumbled.
"Not my fault I'm stealing your girl" Maki chuckled. "OI! SHE'S NOT MINE!!" Nobara yelled, pointing at me. "yet.." Maki mumbled.
"Ayooo" Nobara said. "Huh-" I said. "What? I wasn't listening" I questioned. "Maki ships you and I apparently" Nobara crossed her arms. "Tch. Not really. I'm just convinced you like her" Maki chuckled. "WHAT-" I said. "I- HUH?? YOU LIKE ME?? BUT NOBARA WE'VE ONLY BEEN FRIENDS FOR A FEW WEEKS!!" I screeched.
"Ahh to be young and in love" Gojo said behind Nobara. "Shut up" Nobara grumbled. "Well, Y/n? How do you feel about Nobara?" Gojo asked. "Eh-" I said. "I'm sorry Nobara, but I don't like you" I said. Was that a lie? Maybe. Just a little. Don't quote me on it though.
..
Yes it was a lie.
"Pfft cool I don't like you either" She said. Maki, Gojo and I all looked at her. The same expression crossed all our faces. A 'you know damn well you lyin' kinda look. "What??" She asked. Maki and I just blinked; not sure about Gojo though. "You know you lyin" Gojo laughed. A blush spread across Nobara's cheeks. "I- AM NOT!!" Nobara yelled. Maki chuckled.
"Tch. Whatever. Even if you did like me, I don't care" Yes I very much did care. Her blush grew even wider. "Alright..just don't pick on me for it!" Nobara yelled. Gojo laughed again. "We're totally gonna pick on you" Gojo smiled. I rolled my eyes.
Maki looked at me. "Y'know, Y/n you may fool yourself and everybody else but you don't fool me" She said, getting close to my face. "Huh-" I said. "You obviously like somebody. You're not opaque" She confronted. I gulped and stared into her honey gold eyes. "Shut up. You barely know me" I moved back a little.
"Oooohh" Gojo held his hand to his mouth playfully. "The new season of the Bachelorette??" He joked. "Staring L/n Y/n, Kugisaki Nobara and Zen'in Maki??" He continued. Me and Maki kept on making eye contact. "Tch. Whatever. You'll never know if you're right or not" I said to her. She laughed.
"L I E S" Gojo yelled. "You obviously like Nobara- or Maki- I'm convinced it's either of those two!!" Gojo chirped. I looked at him then at Nobara, who had a massive blush on her face and was looking down, then back at Maki. She moved closer and whispered in my ear: "You know you like me."
Chills ran down my spine and once again my face was set on fire. "G o o d n i g h t" I said, running back to my room.
.
.
"Tch, what an asshole" i said, pulling up my mask. "Oi" A voice said behind me. Maki. Of course. I thought as she walked towards me. "What is it" I said. She grabbed my hand and pushed me agains the wall.
"You're cute when you're flustered" She said. I frowned. "How the hell do you know?? My mask is literally up" I said, pointing at it. "Hmm..we'll just have to find out then, won't we?" She asked softly, pulling it down. Holy shit that was smooth. I thought as she slowly pulled it down.
Once it was all the way down, she leaned in and guess what.
She kissed me.
My eyes widdened at the feeling of her soft lips against mine. I rolled my eyes and lazily melted into it. I wrapped my arms around her neck a moment after. Her hands slid up to my waist. My eyes shot open and I pulled away; gasping for air. "Well?" She asked; her face was flushed red. I gulped. "Well...I should get back to my room" I said. "Right" She said quietly. "Or we could take this to my room?" She suggested.
"Or we could just pretend this didn't happen and go about our business" I said. She clicked her tongue. "Tsk. Fine" She said, letting me go. "You're a good kisser. Was that your first time?" She asked. "Uhm..yeah?" I said. She chuckled. "Goodnight" She said before walking to her door.
"Night.." I said, touching my lips.
.
.
I woke up to violent knocking on my door. Or was it banging?
"Y/n get the fuck up! It's literally 1 in the afternoon!" Nobara yelled. "S h u t u p" I yelled from my bed. "Gojoo!!" Nobara yelled. "OK OK IMA COMIN IMA COMIN!!" I sat up. "Good. Gojo's got something to announce to us in the dining hall" Nobara said. "Tch. Is it about his late habit??" I muttered as I got on my uniform and head for the dining hall.
"Good morning" Maki mumbled as I sat down. I rolled my eyes. "Shut up" I said. "We're going to pretend that didn't happen and that we just went straight to our rooms" I demanded. Maki raised a brow. "Alrighty then" She smirked. She got closer and whipsered to my ear. "I love me a bossy lady" She said. Heat rushed to my ears. "G-good for you" I said.
"Huh? Why's everyone else out here? I only meant for Y/n to come to the dining hall" Gojo said, walking in the room 10 minutes late. "What-" Nobara asked. "Tch. What's with the special treatment??" I questioned.
"It's not special treatment, I'm here to give you so information about your e y e s ." Gojo grinned. "What about her eyes" Megumi asked. "Sharingan" I answered. He looked back at me. "That thing that Sukuna was talking about?" He asked. "Yup" I replied. "Alrighty then. Off you guys go ! Y/n you stay here with me" Gojo dismissed. Everyone walked off somewhere while I stayed in my seat.
Gojo walked up and sat in the seat next to me. "So. What all do you know about your sharingan?" He turned to me. I looked at him. "Well, I know that I can see my oponents future attacks" I said. He nodded. "Mhm" ...
"That's it." I said. "Huh?" Gojo asked. "So you basically know nothing about your sharingan??" He questioned. I shrugged. "That's hilarious!" He said. "Luckily, I brought this big ass book from the library" He said, setting down a big old dusty book. My jaw dropped. "I-" "No, you don't have to read all of it. Just look for any mentions of the sharingan" Gojo instructed. I rolled my eyes.
