《"Is this Love?" Maki Harukawa x Reader》Investigation of the 5th death

You didn't want to get up, you wanted to hug Miu for eternity. But, you had to face the truth, you didn't want to but you had to.
Maki was still hugging you, which made you smile. *There's something that has to be done, Maki... And I know you won't like it.* You thought as you finally hugged back.
After a long while of being in each other's embrace, the two of you finally let go. "You don't have to investigate if you don't want to," Maki said as she helped you up. "I think I'll try to help.." You smiled, receiving a smile back.
You turn to Miu's body, "I'll give you justice.."
You turn back to Maki, "So, what happened when you put on the visor?"
"We filled the lobby, we split into groups of two. One at the mansion, one at the warehouse." You 'hm'ed in response. You look at the seats, you see a poison bottle where Kokichi sat. "Did you guys notice I was gone?" You ask as you stared at the poison bottle, "Me and Kiibo did, we also realized Kaito was gone." Maki turned her head to look at Kaito, "I ran into Kaito. I was looking for something." You mumbled the last part.
Tsumugi walked up to the two of you. "Y/N! I have something I need to talk to you about!" Tsumugi frantically yelled out, "Uh? What is it Tsumugi?" You cocked your head to the side, "In private.." Tsumugi added as she took your hand, her tone indicated she was very annoyed or irritated at something.
"Where are we going!?" You tried to break free of the girl's grasp, but Tsumugi practically dragged you. She stopped at her dorm room. *Shit.* She opened the door, showing the room how you left it. The Junko figurine, headless, is on the floor. The card missing. Everything. How. You. Left. It.

Tsumugi ran to the Junko figure and picked up its head and body. "There has been a terrible murder. With an even more terrible murderer." Tsumugi dramatically wept. "And I know you did it..." You jumped as Tsumugi looked at you, "You found out, didn't you? You're the second mastermind!? Right? You figured that out, right?!" Tsumugi leaned into your ear.
You pushed her off, "GET OFF OF ME. YOU MURDERER!" You screamed as you ran out of the cosplayer's room. Tsumugi held out a hand, in an attempt to stop you. "I'm sorry" Tsumugi whispered.
You ran back to Maki, *I'm sick of Tsumugi..*
"Y/N? You're back early, did something happen?" You nodded, "Tsumugi was just.. talking about a subject I don't really want to talk about." It was the truth, you didn't want to talk about being the second mastermind. You know it will hurt you and Maki's relationship.
I truly like Y/N. But I always have a feeling they're hiding something, I respect them, I know what they're going through. After Miu's death, they've been a little on edge. I understand it. I need to help them the best I can. I can't let another one of my friends die...even in this case, where they're not just my "friend."
"Maki.?" Y/N snapped me back into reality. "Yeah?" I responded. "What would you do if I ?" The question they asked broke me, what do they mean? They're not gonna die on me, right..? "I'm not going to let that happen." I want to try and protect them...
If I could just...
My thoughts were interrupted by something soft on my lips. I realized it was Y/N's lips.
They pulled away before I could react. "What? Just trying to finish what was started." Y/N smirked, "Y-you.. kissed me." I was in shock, of course. I mean, I've never had such a feeling towards someone. And to think they might feel the same scares me.

I didn't realize I was shaking. What if I do something wrong? What if they're teasing me? Was it all a lie? "Hey... You're shaking... Sorry." Y/N apologized quietly, I came back to my senses, "There is no reason to apologize... I just never had that done to me before." I didn't know what to say, I was raised in an orphanage. My parents didn't love me obviously. I have never been kissed before.
But it made me happy, seeing them not worry too much about Miu. Death is always depressing. Though there is no way to stop it. That's just how life works.
The announcement went off, telling us the investigation is over and to go to the elevator. The investigation was pretty much of memory, we didn't have to do much. I look over at Y/N. "I don't want to walk. I don't wanna see Miu's death portrait.." Y/N face darkened. "Would you go if I carried you?" I shyly ask, though to my surprise their eyes lit up, "Really? Then... Yes!" They jumped onto me. They weren't that hard to carry, because of my assassin training, I guess.
I run to the elevator. Everyone looked at us. "Hey, Everyone." Y/N awkwardly waved, "Hello Miss.Y/N" Gonta greeted. "Wow! Someone got a lift" Kokichi snickered. Y/N got off of me. "Sorry, Maki," Y/N whispered. Everyone entered the elevator, and I grabbed a hold of Y/N's hand.
The elevator went down and down...
It was always so boring in here. I look down at my hand, seeing my hand intertwined with Y/N's. I could only make a small smile.

A King in the Clouds
Tanlar. A cruel, repulsive, and foul word. It meant untitled, officially, but it also meant ungifted, unable, unworthy, unnecessary, unhuman. It was more a curse than a term, a badge only the damned and condemned wore. To be a tanlar was to know your life, your entire being, was insignificant. Once Kaizer had resigned himself to such a fate, but those times had passed. He may have been untitled, but he was anything but untalented. He refused to scrape by at the bottom of society. Those who stood above him could sneer all they liked, but he wouldn’t suffer being stepped on for long. He’d be better, much better. But of course he would be. ‘Fate’ demanded it so. [Participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] What To Expect: The story of a boy becoming a man becoming a king + everything that entails. Largely gamelit, but later arcs could be called litrpg. Also schemes. A lot of schemes. I do love some good ol' fantasy politics and intrigue. Minimum Word Count a Week: TBA after Writathon Release Time(s): Daily for as long as I can/until the end of the Writathon. I also write The Deathseeker [Returning Dec 5th]

Jodha's Jalal (The Mughal Saga I)
"Mark my words, Champavati, Queen of Amber, your daughter, Princess Jodha will be wed off to the Mughal household!"A fortune teller had warned Queen of Amber, about her daughter's marriage to the Mughal; but being a Rajput Queen she knew how much hatred they held towards the Mughals and so she tried to sweep the thought out of her mind. But who can erase what is already written! Destiny created man and Jodha's destiny was attached to the Mughal Empire. This is the story of Princess Jodha of Amber and her husband, the Emperor of Hindustan, Jalal-uddin Muhammad Akbar.~A LITTLE BACKDROP TO THE HISTORICAL ACCURACY OF THE STORY:*This story is fictional. Emperor Akbar did rule India from 1556 to 1605 but he did never marry a woman named Jodha. His first Rajput wife and mother of his heir was Harkha Bai from Amber. In eighteenth century, a British official messed her name up when he first mentioned her as Jodha and then the name became even more popular because of mainstream media. This story does not intend to hurt any religious sentiments, it uses the name Jodha however because common people today know of Emperor Akbar's chief Rajput wife as Jodha Bai*Highest Ranking#1 in Jodha - August 6, '21#1 in Akbar - October 16, '21#1 in 16th - October 16, '21#1 in Jalal - November 14, '21#1 in Mughal - November 14, '21#2 in India - November 14, '21#1 in Princess - December 17, '21#1 in Historical Fiction - December 22, '21#4 in Century - January 5, '22#1 in Empress - May 17, '22
