"Maki? You there?" She turns a corner after walking a few flights of stairs, Maki is standing there with her arms folded.. in front of a red door.

"I'm guessing someone told you about my research lab."

"Yeah, Shuichi. Can I look inside?" She goes over to it and puts her hand on the door to push it open, but Maki grabs her hand to stop her.

"No. I'm not letting anyone in there, including you." Maki glares at her

"..." Y/n steps away nervously. "Ah.. haha.. that look always gets me.! Um.. sorry."

"..Just stay away from it." She lets go of her hand and Y/n shuffles away a little more just to be safe.

"Moving on, have you seen any of the other stuff that's opened up?"

"No.. I've been standing outside here making sure nobody comes in ever since it showed up."

"Are you just gonna stay there all day? I can make you a lock if you want."

"What? You can do that?"

"Of course I can! One time I was in a hotel room, and there was someone outside trying to get in, they broke the lock so I used my shoelace to keep the door shut."

"..I honestly have no clue how you're alive. How do you lock it?"

"You have to be on the inside first.. just.. cover my eyes."

"You can't look. If you do it'll be really painful.. for you."

Y/n just nods, she squeezes her eyes shut and covers them. Maki opens the door, she has one hand over her eyes and the other out in front of her so she can feel around.

"Which way's the door?"

"Turn around to the left."

She turns around slightly.

"You can look now."

She opens her eyes, she's facing the doorway, she resists the urge to turn around and look.

"Okay, so I have to close the door, but it'll only be a few seconds, I can assure you I won't look.. because I don't want to die." She chuckles.

"Just hurry."

Y/n closes the door. She thinks for a second. What could possibly be so bad that's in here? But then again, Maki really seemed like she didn't want anyone seeing. Maybe it's embarrassing.. well.. Maki is her friend. And friends don't trick each other

She pulls out her shoelace and threads it through the door, she pulls it back in through under the lock part, she opens the door a little and slides through.

"Okay, so, all I have to do is tie it, then it's locked."

"..And how do I get back in?"

"It's a one time thing, just cut it to get in. Here, you can have my other shoelace, in case you need to get in and out again." She pulls out the shoelace on her other shoe and hands it to Maki.

"..Yeah.. got it."

"Heyy! You guys!" Kokichi comes out from around the corner. "What's up? I don't care. Monokuma has an announcement to make in the dining hall.. so you should hurry up. Go on then."

Y/n shrugs. "It's probably something stupid, I'm just gonna get it over with."

Kokichi ran ahead of her, so she comes in last, like always.

"Where's Monokuma? What's the announcement!?" Tenko says

"About that... I lied! Sorry!" Kokichi laughs

"So this was useless. Don't waste our time." Ryoma grumbles

"It's not useless, I have an announcement!" He reaches into his pocket and pulls out a key.

"A key? What's that for?" Keebo asks

"I think you should know, Y/n."

"Is that mine.?" Y/n scratches her head awkwardly.

"Yep! I took it straight from your pocket while you were sitting outside last night. Then I broke into your dorm and made a few.. changes."

"Do I even want to know?" She sighs

"Haha! Probably not.. or maybe you do, depends on how you look at the pros and cons."

"Why are you so focused on giving everyone else here a hard time?" Even Kirumi seem annoyed.

"Because it makes it less boring. It's supposed to be a game, right? I'm just trying to make it as fun as it can possibly be."

"Can I have my dorm key back?" Y/n says

"Hmm.. clean my shoes first."

Maki goes over to him and swings her fist at him. He yelps in pain.

"Give her the key."

"Okay! Okay! O-Ow.. you're so mean.." He whines and throws the key on the floor, Maki picks it up and hands it to Y/n.

"D-Did you really need to punch him.?" Tsumugi asks

"He deserves it."

"I'm gonna.. go to my dorm." Y/n backs out the room.

"Do you mind if I come.? I'm curious to see what he did.. if it's okay with you." Shuichi says.

"Yeah, just come on."

She goes to her dorm and puts the key in the keyhole, she twists it and looks inside.

The whole room is trashed, the furniture is broken, things are smashed, ripped etc.. you can probably imagine it.

"..." Y/n stares at it. She doesn't know what to say. She can't even go inside because there's broken glass all over the floor.

"Oh.. I.. wasn't expecting that.." Shuichi says under his breath

"It's always gotta be something, hasn't it?" She says, clearly irritated.

"Um.. don't worry too much. We can clean it, I'm sure Kirumi wouldn't mind."

"Kirumi has enough to do. She shouldn't have to work for my mistake."

"Are you sure.? It seems like a lot of work."

"Just.. let it go. It's fine." By her tone of voice, it's clearly not fine, she shuts the door and walks away.

"Wait, where are you going?"

"I haven't seen all the new things that opened up, so I'm going to go look around."

She leaves the dorms and goes into the school building. Shuichi sighs and goes back to the dining room, everyone except Miu is still there.

"You're back! But where's Y/n?" Angie asks

"She left to go look around the school some more.."

"Did she see what I did? Did she like it?" Kokichi laughs

"..She was mad. I've never seen her annoyed like that before."

"What Kokichi do to Y/n dorm?" Gonta asks

"He destroyed the whole place.. he ripped up all her clothes and broke all the furniture, things like that. You can't even go inside because there's broken glass on the floor."

"Tch.! You bastard! How can you go destroying other people's stuff like that!?" Kaito shouts. "She didn't even do anything to you!"

"It's funny though. It makes it less boring.. where will she sleep now? In a potential love interest's room?" He smiles as if he did nothing wrong.

"Of course it's a degenerate male who did this to poor Y/n! You better apologise to her right now!" Tenko yells

"I'm alright thanks, I have to go.. I'm a busy guy." He leaves the room.

Everybody gets on with their day, until it's finally nighttime.

Y/n stands at her dorm, thinking of what to do.

"If you would like, I may be able to clean it just enough for it to be able to rest in for tonight." Kirumi says

"Thank you for offering, but I'm okay. I don't want to cause any more trouble."

"Gonta not mind giving up dorm.. Gonta sleep in wildlife for a while." Gonta says

"Really, it's fine. I just want to be left alone." She says, and everyone seems to get the idea, she kicks some of the glass out the way just enough so she can stand inside her dorm, she closes the door and locks it.

She kneels down and starts picking up all the stuff on the floor, putting it into plastic bags.

Once the floor is clear, she tries taping the furniture together, it sort of works.. it'll do. She has no idea what to do about the clothes though, she doesn't wanna have to wear the same outfit again. She takes one of them into the school, up to Kirumi's lab. She assumes it'll have something she can use. It has a sort of Victorian vibe.. it's super pretty.

There's a sewing machine in there, she took a couple sewing lessons as a kid.

She manages to get it into useable condition. She sighs in relief. It's not as bad as she thought it would be.
