You smoothed your dress, looking worriedly in the mirror. Spencer wrapped his arms around your waist from behind, nuzzling his face in your neck. "You're gorgeous," he muttered, causing you to blush.
"Spence, I want them to like me," you whispered. "These people are your family."
Spencer smiled and rested his hands on your stomach, kissing your bare shoulder. "Penelope and Morgan already love you, I'm sure that the others will too.," he reassured. You nodded, tuning in his arms.
"Let me fix your tie," you muttered, moving your hands to his neck. He hummed, leaning his head down to catch your lips. His arms wrapped around your waist, pulling you against him.
"I love you," he said gently. You grinned, saying it back, as usual.
"Let's go, we're going to be late," you said, grabbing his hand. He sighed and nodded, letting you drag him to his car. Usually, you would drive because of Spencer's aversion to it, but not in these heels.
You arrived at David Rossi's house, or should you say, mansion. You looked up, your mouth wide open. "He lives here? Alone?"
"Mhm," Spencer said.
"Does he want company," you teased, Spencer groaning in response.
"Don't say anything like that to him," he muttered. You laughed and kissed his cheek.
"Don't need to be a genius to figure that much out," you whispered, opening your door. Spencer let out an exasperated sigh.
"Get back in," he threatened in a low voice. You nodded silently, climbing back into the car. He opened the door and offered you his hand, you taking it and leaning into his side. Spencer always made you feel exhilarating, but commanding Spencer was a whole other level. And you loved it.
He rang the doorbell, keeping his other hand wrapped around your waist, his finger drawing circles absentmindedly. David Rossi opened the door, smiling at the two of you. "Come in! You must be Y/N!"

You smiled and nodded, as he continued. "You're from that lecture we gave at Georgetown in August," he said. "That's why you didn't ride back with me," he muttered, turning to Spencer who flushed lightly.
"Guilty," Spencer said with a chuckle. Rossi shook his head and walked into the living room, you trailing behind as Spencer held your waist delicately. You were enveloped in a hug by Garcia, who was smiling from ear to ear.
"I'm so glad you came!" She shrieked. You let out a small laugh, hugging her back.
"Of course I'd come."
"Hey pretty girl," Derek said, throwing his arm around your shoulder. You giggled, shaking your head.
"Hi Derek, how have you been?" You asked sweetly, feeling Spencer's grip on you tighten. "How's that girl you were seeing?"
"No luck with her. Not many people understand our crazy lifestyle. Pretty boy here got lucky with you," he said, clapping Spencer on the back.
"I got lucky by finding him," you replied, smiling at Spencer who looked at you lovingly. "Introduce me to the others?" You asked quietly. Spencer nodded, guiding you over to a tall man with stoic features.
"This is Agent Hotchner, my boss. And this, is my girlfriend Y/N," Spencer said. The man gave you a tight-lipped smile.
"It's nice to meet you Agent Hotchner," you said simply.
"Aaron, call me Aaron. It's nice to meet the girl that improved our genius' mood," he replied. You laughed as Spencer coughed.
"Hotch, I'm always in a good mood," he countered.
"From a behavioral standpoint, you're much more relaxed in social settings now than you were last June, so I would say I'm right," he explained, making you snort lightly. Spencer shook his head, blushing gently before pulling you away to meet JJ and Emily.
"Is this her?" Emily asked as you entered her frame of vision. "You're so pretty, how did the good genius land you?" She asked causing you to frown ever so slightly.

"I often question how I managed to land him," you replied. Spencer placed a soft kiss on your temple, making you smile.
"You two are the absolute cutest," Emily gushed. "It's good Reid found someone, maybe he can take you to Solaris or the Korean film festival."
"No way! You like Solaris too?" You asked excitedly, turning to Spencer.
"It's the best sci-fi meditation film of all time," he replied, making you grin.
"Set aside 5 hours tomorrow Spence," you said, kissing his cheek.
"Why do I have a feeling we won't be just watching the movie," he muttered, making you blush.
"If you two are done flirting, I want to meet the girl that stole your cardigan," JJ teased. Your eyes widened, not thinking she would remember that. "I'm Jennifer, my friends call me JJ," she introduced herself.
"I'm Y/N, and I cannot believe you remember the cardigan."
"I told Spence I was convinced you were flirting with him. I'm so glad that I was right, he deserves happiness," she said gently.
"Good thing she makes me happier than anything else in the world," Spencer interjected, making your stomach fill with butterflies. The two women looked between the two of you in awe.
"Spencer Reid, a romantic? Never thought I'd see the day," Morgan teased. "Now, I'm stealing your girlfriend for a dance, seeing as I remember you saying you don't dance."
Spencer rolled his eyes, releasing you. You shook your head. "I'm not feeling like dancing right now Derek, these heels are killing my feet." You laced your fingers with Spencer and pulled him to the couch, resting your head against his shoulder. A few moments later, you felt a tug on your dress. You looked down and saw a little boy with blonde hair smiling at you. "Hi there," you said sweetly.
"Are you and uncle spense in love? Like the way mommy and daddy are?" He asked smiling. You grinned, looking at Spencer with a raised eyebrow.
"Yes Henry, just like your mom and dad," Spencer said, picking him up and placing him in his lap. You smiled, loving seeing Spencer with kids. You looked over your shoulder and saw a flash of dirty blonde hair. You smiled at the little boy, calling him over.
"And what's your name?"
"Jack," he whispered.
"Well, jack, do you want to join us?" You asked softly. He nodded and you patted the spot next to you on the couch. Spencer and you spent the next hour engrossed in conversation with the kids, Spencer even doing a magic trick.**
Everyone else watched you two with smiles on their faces. "How long until he and Y/N have one of their own?" Derek asked, taking a sip of his champagne.
"Give it a year." Emily offered.
"Less than," Rossi interjected.
"No, I think it'll be at least two years," JJ said.
"I'm saying a year and a half," Hotch muttered, making everyone look at him. "What? Everyone else gave their two cents."
Jack ran over to Hotch with a big smile on his face. "Dad! Can Y/N come over to play? She knows all the cool Batman characters," he said excitedly. Hotch laughed, picking up the boy.
"I'm assuming Henry wants to come too?" Jack nodded, grinning.
"Yeah, we can arrange that," JJ said smiling at the couple, who sat on the couch with their hands laced together, whispering to each other and laughing, Spencer occasionally leaving chaste kisses.

The overgrown mansion
The main character returns to her deceased recluse uncle's home to get his effects in order. This is the beginning of a lovecraftian story inspired by somebody telling me about the Brombeermonster, a particulary nasty blackberry shrub overtaking her family's abandonned home. A backdrop for a story about eery and unexplained things if I ever heard about one. I will post the two parts I already posted on reddit; more maybe if there is interest from the community.
