JJ released you from her arms, gasping lightly. You looked up in confusion, your vision blurred by tears. Suddenly, you were yanked by a set of strong arms, being tightly held.** You took a breath and smelled the familiar scent of bergamot.
"Spencer?" You whispered softly, looking up.
"Hi baby, I'm so sorry," he replied, holding your face in his hands. You shook your head, kissing him passionately, making him the one to pull away first. "I'll take that as my apology being accepted."
"Spence you scared the living crap out of me. Never leave me like that again. Never, you got that?"
"I'm so sorry. I got to the airport and realized I couldn't just leave without fixing everything. And my mom called me and yelled at me, telling me that 'she is the best thing in your life don't you screw this up you fool'."
"Were those her exact words?" You asked with a smile.
"Oh yeah. Like I said, I'm pretty sure she likes you more than she likes me."
You pouted and nestled into Spencer's arms further, clinging on to him like a wet paper towel. He laughed lightly, rubbing your back softly, placing a kiss on the top of your head. "Spence, I was so scared. I don't know what I'd do if I lost you."
"Luckily for you, it appears you're stuck with me," he whispered into your hair. "Let's go home?"
"You should probably go up there and show your face. Everyone's convinced you're dead."
"Dead?"
"The plane you were supposed to take crashed," JJ said from her spot against the wall. Spencer released you and hugged her tightly. "We're so happy you're ok," she muttered.
Spencer let go of her and wrapped his arm around your waist, pulling you against him. "Let's go pay the team a visit," he said with a smile, walking into the elevator, his hold on you not weakening one bit. You surprised the rest of the team, Penelope dropping her tablet and engulfing Spencer in a hug. Spencer laughed and patted her back lightly. "Hi Garcia."

"Oh you're alive! You're alive! I knew you would be. Oh! You two are ok again? Please tell me you're ok again," Garcia rambled, making you grin.
"Penny, we're good," you said, leaning into Spencer, never wanting to be separated from him again.
Hotch smiled ever so slightly and squeezed Spencer's shoulder. "Glad that you're alive Reid. You have the next 3 weeks off, please, don't do anything dangerous," he muttered.
"3 weeks?" Spencer asked surprised.
"Yes, 3 weeks. Go home and relax. Spend time with Y/N. You two have been through hell this week."
"But-" Spencer protested. You grinned and shook your head, knowing how much he loved work.
"If we need you to consult, we'll call, ok?" Rossi said, walking in with his coffee mug. "Otherwise, pretend you're unemployed."
Spencer shook his head and grabbed his bag from his desk. "Fine, fine. I suppose I'll find some way to spend all of this time," he joked, kissing your hand gently. You blushed, looking down.
"Alright, everyone else, wheels up in 10," Hotch said, walking up to his office. Spencer held you close, waving bye to everyone before pulling you out of the building and into the elevator.
He opened the passenger door, placing you down onto the seat gently. He kissed you softly before closing the door and walking to the drivers seat. You reached for his free hand, not wanting to be without his touch. He pulled up to his apartment, picking you up and carrying you inside. "Spencer, I can walk," you countered.
"I don't care, I'm never letting you go," he responded, kissing you sweetly. You grinned against his lips, your hands playing with his hair. He groaned, unlocking his door. "Baby, don't tease me."

"I'm sorry," you whispered. "I missed you Spence. Please, can we never fight again?"
"Never," he said gently, placing you down on his bed. He quickly discarded his work clothes, changing into a t-shirt and sweatpants, crawling into bed next to you. You folded into his arms, leaving no space between your bodies. "I love you," he whispered.
You hummed in response, kissing his jaw softly. "Spence, we need to talk."
"Hmm?"
"I don't want to rehash what happened. Honestly, I'm just thankful you're alive. But, why did you get so angry?"
"It all has to do with what I had to tell you. But I was scared. I'm still scared. What if you leave me after I tell you?"
"Spence, I'm yours. I'm not leaving. You could tell me you killed someone and my response would be 'what do we do with the body.' I'm in love with you, and there's nothing you could say that would make me ever change that."
Spencer nodded, kissing you softly. "About 5 years ago, I was kidnapped by an unsub. He used a drug called dilaudid on me, to ease my pain. The issue was that I developed an addiction," he said quietly. Your face softened, moving closer to him. "And after everything in the last 48 hours, in addition to Emily's death, I was really tempted to relapse."
You sighed as he began to cry, cradling his head in your arms. You pulled his head to your chest, running your fingers through his hair soothingly. "But I didn't. That's why I went to see JJ. Because she helped me last time. And she told me I should let you help me."
"Spence, I'm thankful that you trust me enough to tell me this. I love you and I'm with you through everything, ok baby? Let's just spend the next few days just us, ok?" Spencer nodded, reaching for your hand and kissing it softly.
"Hotch did give me the next few weeks off, and more of I wanted it. I'll stay until you get tired of me."
"Might as well quit because at this rate, you're never getting rid of me," you said with a smile as you closed your eyes and nestled into his arms.
