《Spencer Reid/MGG One Shots》4 - SR

The whole team is sat around the round table discussing their weekend plans as they closed out a case. Rossi has a date, Reid's going to work on some research, Morgan is doing some renovations on one of his remodels, Hotch and JJ are spending time with their families, and you and Garcia are headed to some nearby outlet malls for some retail therapy. The two of you were talking about the all the stores you wanted to stop at.
"We have to make sure to save enough time for the Levi's store. You know I'm addicted to their jeans and the outlet has the best deals," you explain to Penelope as you head out of the room together.
"Absolutely! My favorites are fading and I need a new pair or two anyway. I couldn't live without them!" she agrees.
"What's so great about these jeans?" Spencer asks. You hadn't even noticed his following you out.
"What kind of question is that? Levi's are classics! I've even had a few pairs since college," you answer.
"Wait, Y/N. Have you ever seen Reid in a pair of jeans?" Garcia asks you. Now that you think about it you haven't.
"Spencer, do you own a pair of jeans?" you ask, turning to face him.
"No, I don't," he shrugs with his hands in his pockets. "Why would I? I wear slacks most of the time."
"Okay sure, slacks at work, but what about on the weekends? Don't tell me sit around your house in slacks."
"I have a few pairs of corduroys! You've seen me in those and they're pretty much jeans."
"Oh, you poor, uncomfortable soul," Penelope jokingly comforts him with a hand on his shoulder.
"I have an idea," you lean over and whisper in her ear while Spencer watches a bit curious and a bit scared. He knows what the two of you are capable of.
*****
The next Friday, your plan finally comes to fruition. The team wasn't on a case that week, so you were all working in Quantico. You and Garcia sent out a text to the team letting them in on the plan, but you "accidently" forgot to message Reid.
Spencer's always the first one to the office and when he saw Penelope come in wearing a pair of jeans and a bright Hawaiian print shirt he thought nothing of it. Then came JJ and Morgan then Rossi, all in jeans and their own Hawaiian shirts. Now this is weird. Sure some of the team will take advantage of casual Friday, but not like this. What really confirmed his suspicion was Hotch. Even Aaron was wearing a darker Hawaiian button down with jeans. What was going on? Where's Y/N? Speak of the devil, you walked right into the office wearing none other than a pair of well-worn jeans a Hawaiian shirt.

"What the hell is going on?!" Reid finally bursts.
"Casual Friday, duh," Garcia says with a grin.
"Yeah, but this isn't... this is weird! Why are you all matching?"
"Oh, you didn't get the text? You were supposed to wear a Hawaiian shirt and jeans today, we're taking our holiday card photo!" you respond innocently.
"Bullshit! We've never sent out a holiday card, we work for the government for Christ's sake! Y/L/N, Garcia, you know for a fact that I don't own a pair of jeans and what would make you think I had a Hawaiian print shirt?"
"Well it's your lucky day, Doctor!" You pull your tote bag off of your shoulder and hold it out to the visibly exasperated man. He snatches it out of your hand and looks inside.
"You kidding," he lets out a dry laugh, not believing the extent you've gone to get him into a pair of jeans.
"Better change quick, pretty boy, or you may get kicked out of the BAU. A real team player would put the jeans on," Morgan chimes in, playing along.
"Hotch..." Spencer whines trying to get someone on his side.
"Just put it on," Hotch responds, surprisingly getting into the joke.
"You've got to be kidding me," Reid grumbles as he walks off towards the bathroom to change. After a few minutes, he walks back into the office having changed into the outfit you bought for him. A classic pair of straight leg, dark wash Levi blue jeans and a vintage Hawaiian print short sleeve button down. You stand up out of your chair and start a slow clap, the team joining in one by one. It gets faster and just turns into a full on cheer. Spencer practically invents a new shade of red with how hard he blushes and turns to walk back out the way he came in.
"No, no, no Spence," you laugh and run up to him, catching his hand before he makes it out the door. "Sorry, we'll calm down, I promise."
"No, I'm just going to change, it's not worth it," he says embarrassed.
"Please, just give me an hour and one group photo," you squeeze his hand in reassurance. "If you really don't like it after that you can change back."
"Fine, but you owe me big time."
"Absolutely, anything you want," you promise as he follows you back towards the team.

"How the hell did you know what size to get?"
"Me! Duh!" Penelope answers proudly. "I know everything, remember?"
"I should've guessed. I hate to say it, but these jeans actually fit really well," Spencer admits.
"Of course they do. I am a jeans expert and your new personal shopper," you give him a wink.
The team gets together for a photo and takes a few shots plus a silly one for good measure.
"Can I take this off now?" Reid whines.
"Yeah, whatever, go ahead," you give in. He heads over to his desk to grab the bag with his suit in it, but it's not there.
"Come on guys. This isn't funny." Spencer seems to be getting frustrated. He looks at you and you just shrug. This wasn't part of the plan, but it was a nice touch. Your best guess is that Morgan got too into the prank.
"Just keep it on, Reid. Isn't it more comfortable than a suit?" JJ asks.
"It's way cuter than a suit, I can tell you that," Garcia butts in. Spencer just sighs and plops down into his desk chair, giving up. You give him a squeeze on the shoulder as you walk past him to get to you own desk. Screwing with Spencer is always fun, but you did have real work to do.
*****
You hear a knock on your apartment door not too long after you got home from work and you know exactly who it is. "It's open," you holler not even bothering to get off your couch. He has a key. Spencer shoves the door open and strides into your living room.
"Why'd you do that?" he asks as he rounds the couch to face you.
"It was fun! Wasn't it?" you respond with a laugh.
"I never got my suit back!"
"I'm sure it'll show up on Monday. That wasn't a part of my original plan just FYI. I was going to let you change, but someone else had another idea."
"Morgan?"
"Yeah, probably, but I didn't see him do it so you can't blame me."
He lets out a breath and flops down on the couch next to you. He lays across the length of it, resting his head in your lap. You thread your hands through his hair and lean down to plant a kiss on his forehead as he closes his eyes.
"I'm sorry we stressed you out, baby," you finally apologize.
"No don't apologize, I'm just tired. To be honest with you it was kind of funny. And the shirt is kind of cool, where'd you get it?"
"From a vintage shop downtown, it's sweet right? I know Hawaiian isn't really your thing, but it's more muted."
"It'll be good for your brother's luau party next weekend."
"That's exactly what I was thinking! Not to mention those jeans," you look down at him and shoot him a wink. "I can't believe we've been dating for half a year and I didn't know you owned a single pair of jeans!"
"You've obviously rectified that issue."
"Hell yeah I have! You looked so hot in those jeans today, it took everything in me not to smack your ass in front of the team. I did a good job."
"That would've ruined the secret! But because I love you, here's your opportunity." Spencer hops off the couch and faces away from you, giving you a clear shot at his butt. You laugh and stand up, giving him a swift smack on the ass. He turns around smiling and finally presses his lips to yours, giving you a quick, but deep kiss.
"I can't believe your still wearing the jeans," you giggle, resting your head on his chest as you wrap your arms around each other.
"You put so much effort into getting me into them, I figured I give my girlfriend a little treat. And I will admit they're pretty comfortable."
"Of course they are. I told you, I'm an expert on jeans, but I'm also an expert on you. I wouldn't buy you a pair that you wouldn't like."
"Another thing to add to the list of reasons why I love you."
"I love you too, Spence. Now can I take the jeans off of you?"
"I thought you'd never ask, Y/N."

Project Alpha: A Summary - 'Old Republic to Current Operational Era'
This is the beginning story of an ongoing epic written over a period of ten years. A labor of love for me. We start the story with the summary of what started it all: Project Alpha. A project conceived by the Supreme Chancellor to prevent another Hyperspace Conflict. The project; like all government run projects, spawned other 'side-initatives'. One of which results in the creation of our five main protagonist which are the main characters of the next series of stories. We start at the end of the Great Hyperspace Conflict. The prologue addressing what effect all of this has on the New Hope Era of the Star Wars saga.

I Don't Seem So Bright in a Well-Lit Room
The universe is a very strange place. It will take even stranger heroes to save it."Absurd. Existential. Ridiculous. Tragic. Comic. The antiheroes of "I Don't Seem So Bright in a Well-Lit Room" are a kind of Rosencrantz and Guildenstern with space packs, inadvertently colliding with their destinies against a starry background of witty wordplay. With a vision as sprawling and limitless as the loveably goofy universe in which it's set, Browning's wit, wisdom and heart are always at play, combining to form a wonderfully panoramic and very silly heroes' journey that visits every trope of its overlapping genres and draws moustaches on all of them."- Marcel St. Pierre, author of "Vengeful Hank" and "Cliché and Wind Go Hitchhiking".(Sci-fi /Dark Humour/Absurd) *Completed!
