《The Night Shift (Mike Schmidt x Reader)》13. Dream

(Mike's POV)
(Y/N) had fallen asleep. In the pizzeria. The hell pizzeria. In retrospect, I should've woke her up. Dammit, stupid decision. Would've saved me a lot of trouble.
Anyway, I didn't really feel like going through the works of taking her to back to her house, so I ended up just carrying her to my apartment. I was close enough to work to walk, but I was way too lazy to go on foot. I laid her down on the couch and walked into the bedroom. Only then did I realize I had just carried a sleeping girl to my apartment. I put my head in my hands. Dammit, why'd I have to be so stupid? She'd wake up thinking she's been kidnapped or worse!
I changed into a pair of sweatpants and crawled under my covers, not bothering to take off my sweatshirt. Realizing that my coworker didn't have a blanket, I climbed out and found a (F/C) fleecie in my closet. I walked out to the other room and draped the blanket over (Y/N)'s sleeping form. She looked so much more peaceful when she was sleeping; she was usually either flustered from keeping the animatronics out, hyper when we just hung out together, or concentrating when she was watching one of her shows. All I could wonder was what was going on inside of that head of hers. I chuckled to myself and walked back to my decently sized bed, snuggling back under the covers. Damn, (Y/N) was cute.
(Dreaming)
I was falling. Of course. I'd had this dream a million times before. When I did sleep, this was pretty much the only dream I had. However, right when I would usually fall flat, I instead fell into Freddy's arms. What the fuck was going on?
I was a child again. I was elated to have been specially chosen by Freddy for some special surprise. This was the best birthday ever! Freddy rocked me back and forth while his band played along to his song.

"Hey kids, I'm Freddy
C'mon, now go play!
Let's go make lots of
new friends today!"
Freddy's voice began to glitch out after the first verse.
"We love to sing our songs with you
but we have other things to do
like putting guards into their suits."
The band began to play off-key, and parents were dragging their kids
away from the malfunctioning robots.
"Once it gets dark here
and all the kids are gone,
our wandering mode
finally turns on."
The employees were scrambling to get the normally fluffy and friendly animatronics to turn off. They had no idea how to save me from Freddy's tightening grip. The voices were barely decipherable now, but I managed to make out what they were saying.
"Child, we are now going to do
horrible things to you;
our revenge is long past due."
Freddy began leaning closer to my face. He leaned closer and closer until his muzzle was up against my face.
"Hello, Mikey," Freddy managed to choke out through his now staticky voice. He opened his mouth to take a bite and --
(Real World again)
I woke up screaming. I heard another scream echo mine from the other room. Shit. I began mumbling about how goddamn stupid I was and ran out to check on (Y/N).

Bad is an Understatement | ✓
"I don't know who you think you are coming here, and acting like you don't care about anything. Now listen here Princess, because I'm not going to repeat myself. Here's a couple of rules that I'd like to enlighten upon you. Number one, you do not talk back to me. And two, you don't mess with me or the rules," his breath fans my face and I close my eyes. The proximity between us was terrifying. "I've dealt with many bitches like you, so I suggest that you follow those rules unless you want to end up like them," - he leans in. His mouth lingers near my ear, "used."... "... You might think that you run this place, but you do not run me. Understand? And the sooner you understand that, the better it'll be for the both of us," I warn staring right into his eyes before walking away. I was more than amused by his dumbfounded expression. I stop, and turn back around, facing him, "And one piece of advice, know what you're fishing for before you start fishing. What if you find a shark and it reels you in, instead?"⇒Highest rank: 1 in Chicklit on 01.08.16

Who Fixes Books Anyway?
On the pretense of a raise, the relatively new employee Pernie is called in to talk with her superiors. NOTE: This is a short story written for a class I took recently. As a result of deadlines, it does not possess the quality (or length) that I would like and is rather thrunkated. Perhaps sometime far in the furture I'll fix it up. For now, I have much more important things to work on, such as my other fiction.
