A foreign language
You sigh in peace as you think of this instrument you love
You adore the magical sounds that play perfectly with the rhythm of your fingers
How much I love to play it
Just thinking about it brings peace in me,
An ongoing feeling of love
To think, i used to not play this magical essence
But now, i can't imagine a world where I wouldn't play this
You feel so proud as you read the notes on the sheet, you truly are reading another language, one only you can speak. You feel so powerful and strong with the music.
I can do this!
I can read this!
Such magic this thought brings you and then...I'm able to play! I'm truly able to play.
And I love it!
I love it so much!!!
I can speak this foreign language, and it's only mine, for the moment! But then, I realize, I can share this moment with the world and to think you can do that, brings an even more overwhelming sense of peace.

Briars and Thorns
Millenia ago, humanity faced a catastrophe. Some devastating, catastrophic event that even to this day leaves its impact on humankind and the Earth. That’s not where our story takes place though, instead we look to space, where humans have taken up residence among the stars. Living in huge industrial space stations, life is a bore. Dull daily routines are broken only by extravagant fashion, music, and other means of self expression. Also, of course, the lifeblood of the stations- games. Four months ago, humanity was contacted by the first ever known alien life forms. These aliens, calling themselves the Erta offered their designs and schematics for their True Virtual Reality (TVR) console, as well as access to their game in exchange for peace. And humanity, excited at the opportunity to achieve one of their life long dreams (that is, to experience True VR), graciously took them up on their offer. Now, after scientists have finally confirmed the console to be safe for humans, the game is to finally be released to the public. This comes to the joy of most of the population, but a small portion of them can't help but be upset. As thousands of the researchers meant to be developing virtual reality, are fired overnight. Meet Brian Reed, one of these newly unemployed workers. Now, join Brian as he explores the very game that was the death of his job. And watch as he learns that the game is not quite what it seems.

By chance, the paths of a renowned hero and an infamous bogeyman intersect. Locked in a wordless battle from dawn till dusk, the two beat each other bloody before the monster asks why the hero has come to his dwelling. When the hero realizes that the bogeyman doesn't have what he seeks, he cuts the battle short and promises to return one day to slay his foe. The bogeyman accepts this pledge and demands that the hero remember his name: BEEADDLEDRUNG. After waiting for what feels like an eternity, BEEADDLEDRUNG realizes that he doesn't just want to finish that battle; he wants to be killed, and the hero is the only person he's ever met with the potential to kill him. Apparently tired of existing without hope of further evolution, the monster emerges from his lair in search of his fated executioner. Hi, and thanks for checking out my web novel! Feathery Delight
The world has been hard on young Kael. Living his life on the streets, Looking for a way out he tries many things to change his destiny, only to be met with failure again and again. Wallowing in self-loathing, he lives his days without much purpose or motivation. Life, however, had other plans. On a rainy night of watching life pass him by, an explosion suddenly rips our young protagonist out of the bland world he knew. Meeting an old man claiming to be able to use magic, will his life finally change? Will the world finally give him a chance? This is a complete rewrite of my earlier story. Aside from my own personal problems with depression, there were many, many things I came to dislike about the way it was progressing. With the low quality of the earlier chapters, it was in dire need of at least an editing run. Instead of just editing the subpar chapters, I decided to just do it over again and change what I did not like. Please also note that I am not a native English speaker and thus might make mistakes. I have tried hard to find and correct most, but I am certainly not perfect.If you notice anything that is wrong just leave a comment below the chapter and I will try to get to it. She makes it to her grandparents house but that's the only thing that happens as planned. Lyla learns she is apart of a supernatural world where soulmates work together to keep evil at bay. But Lyla and her soulmate aren't like the others. Not like her brother and his soulmate. Not like her parents. They are the first two beings ever created and if they want to stay together, they'll have to do more than keep evil at bay - they'll need to sew the seam between two worlds and seal up the Underworld for good before the evils kill them.
