The managers started and finished up lunch. They all served the food to the teams and sat down for lunch to talk about their day.
"So how was day one for everyone," Yukie asked, as she sat down with her food.
"It went pretty well, my team won a couple of games." Eri said.
"Same for me, and thanks for the drinks Y/N chan." Mako said happily.
"Thanks Mako san, and Karasuno is doing great," Y/N exclaimed, "we didn't win or anything, but we did try."
Kaori commented, "Well that's good, at least your team is trying. The only thing my team is doing is trying to keep Bokuto san happy."
Everyone at the counter started to giggle at the comment. "How bad are his mood swings anyways." Yachi asked.
"They are really bad, it's like one moment he's happy and a second later he's upset about something." Yukie said, "it's that bad."
"Well at least he's an ace." Kiyoko said, "we have two troublesome first years and second years, along with a salty first year and what others call a scary ace."
"Well at least they can keep it together, even if it's most of the time." Mako added, "my team gets too out of hand when they don't win, I was scared to go to training camp because of that."
"Well if they're keeping it together well that's okay right." Y/N said smiling.
"Yeah luckily they are." Mako said, "they're oddly mature here, I should check what's making them so calm."
"You should, so that you could use it again at practices." Kiyoko added, "and did you guys see Kuroo san during break."
"Oh he was with me, he helped me with the drinks," Y/N answered, "why'd you ask."
"I wanted to tell him to help you so you guys could spend some quality time together," Kiyoko said, "but I guess he already beat me to it."
"What did you guys do exactly," Yukie asked, "I mean you did take kind of a long time to make it."
"Yukie san, what are you implying?" Y/n asked back.
"She's asking if you guys did it," Eri clarified, "she is right about the time though, you did take a pretty long time."
"N-no we didn't d-do anything, I swear." Y/n said with a pink face.
"Well then why is your face pink, hmmm." Kiyoko asked.
"Well it's the fact that you guys asked that, anyone would be like that." Y/N answered.
"Okay maybe we should trust Y/N and not bully her anymore," Kaori said, "but tell us how he was."
"I'm telling you guys nothing happened, he just helped me with the drink and that's it." Y/N said looking quite pink.
"Well at least they still spent time together right." Yachi exclaimed.
"Yeah you're right, I'd like to see what happens next," Eri said, "we should just leave them be."
"Oh we should start cleaning up now, we have a longer break in a while and practice to watch." Kiyoko said, looking at her watch.
"Don't forget about dinner and another party." Kaori added.
"Wait we're having a party every night." Yachi asked.
"Yeah of course we are Yachi chan, do you want to buy the snacks with me tonight." Eri replied.
"Yeah I do, it's just that I don't have the money." Yachi replied to Eri.

"You can borrow my money Yachi chan," Y/N said, "you can buy whatever you want."
"Thanks Y/N san, but I'll remember the exact price to repay you," Yachi said as she headed over to the sink to wash the dishes.
"Oh no don't worry, I don't really care just don't pay me back," Y/n said starting on the dishes.
"Are you sure Y/n san." Yachi asked.
"Yeah of course, I always keep my word." Y/n replied.
The managers cleaned up the place once again and headed out for a break. Since it was break time at the moment, practice starts after a while. The managers wouldn't watch them play, but they would pick up some balls and help out with the water. The girls sat in the shade and talked about what they wanted to do tonight. After the break, they stayed for practice for a bit before starting on dinner. The cooked and served for 2 hours before sitting down again.
"Kay guys, let's eat and shower," Kiyoko said as she sat down, "and then we get to relax and have fun in the room."
"Yes, that is agreeable." Kaori added, "And Eri chan and Yachi chan are going out to buy stuff still."
"Yeah we are right Yachi chan." Eri asked.
"Yeah of course we're going." Yachi replied, "but is it okay if we get drinks, since we still have a lot of leftover snacks from yesterday."
"Honestly anything is fine," Yukie said as she ate her food.
"That's good, but we need an order from you guys." Eri said.
"Well I'll get a coffee boba and what about you guys." Kaori replied.
"It's a honey dew slushie for me." Yukie said.
"I'd like a F/D thanks," Y/n exclaimed.
Kiyoko then said, "I just want an iced green tea."
"And could I get a jasmine sea cream tea, thanks." Mako said.
"Okay we got the orders down." Eri said, finishing up the notes on her phone.
"I'll go ahead and shower now, I'll meet up with you guys later." Y/n said as she stood up from her seat, "bye everyone, see you later."
"Bye Y/N chan," Everyone else said.
Y/N walked to the manager's room to get her clothes to shower. She chose out a pair of blue high waisted shorts with a sports bra and an oversized "Given" hoodie. Y/N headed over to the bathrooms to wash up and think about her day.
"I can't believe we hugged today." Y/N thought as her face went to a pink tint, "does Kuroo san really like me or not. You know what, I should just calm down and see what happens, maybe he does and maybe he doesn't. Ugh why is love so hard."
Y/N then finished up and started to dry herself and looked at herself in the mirror. "Wow I actually look okay, that's a relief." Y/n thought as she shrugged it off. She put on her clothes and borrowed Kiyoko's hair dryer to dry her hair. She then put it away and went to the laundry room to wash her messy clothes. Y/N walked out near the gym on her way to the kitchen, but when she passed the gym Kuroo looked out the door.
"Hey Chibi Chan." Kuroo said, catching up to Y/N.
"Oh hey Kuroo san, do you need anything?" Y/N asked looking up at him.
"Um well yes um maybe no," Kuroo stuttered, "um are you going somewhere later."

"Oh um no why, I just have to clean up with the managers." Y/N answered.
"Okay then let's go somewhere then." Kuroo said blushing, as he held her hand gently.
"Ack," Y/N exclaimed as she almost tripped, "wait up Kuroo san, where are we going."
"Oh sorry Y/N chan, um let's say that we're going on a date," Kuroo cleared up, "I'll slow down now."
"Thanks Kuroo san," Y/N said walking beside him,"wait did you just say a date."
"Um yeah a date," Kuroo said blushing once again, "can I take you somewhere then."
"Yes you still can, but have you eaten yet." Y/N asked, "I don't want you to be hungry."
"No it's fine, I've already eaten." Kuroo reassured, but then his stomach was rumbling.
"Yeah come on, let's get you some food first alright." Y/N said, "we could go to Mitsuwa, the food there is pretty good."
"Okay then let's go." Kuroo said happily, "wait do you know where that is."
"Yeah, I went there the other day." Y/N said smiling, "I'll pull up the directions right now."
The two walked to the nearest train station and boarded a train. After a while they got off and walked the rest of the way to the place. They finally arrived at the place and headed over to the food court area.
They both got in line and Kuroo stood pretty close to Y/N as he looked at the menu. "Hey how may I help you." the counter worker asked.
"I like a grilled salted mackerel pike with rice please and thank you." Kuroo said.
"Okay and that's it." the worker asked again.
"Yes that's it." Kuroo replied.
"Alright got it, your food will be out in a while here is your ticket," the counter worker replied as he handed Kuroo a ticket number, "and would you like it as a take out or in dining."
"What do you think of Chibi Chan," Kuroo asked for Y/N's opinion.
"Let's take out, is that fine." Y/n replied looking up at Kuroo.
"Yeah, we'll take out thanks." Kuroo answered looking from Y/n to the worker.
"Kay then have a nice day." the counter work replied.
"Yes you too," Y/N and Kuroo said as they walked away together.
"Hey Kuroo san," Y/N started, "I'm gonna buy some snacks, so do you want to wait by yourself."
"Yeah that's fine, have fun and I'll see you later." Kuroo answered as he pat Y/N's head.
"Kay then see you later too." Y/N replied.
She walked over to the snack area and got a pack of chocolates and a pack of Pepero. Y/N decided to only get those and walked over to the cashier area. She set her items and saw the same lady again.
"Oh hey honey, I saw you yesterday right." the lady said as she checked off her things, "what brings you here tonight."
"Oh I'm out with my friend, and I'm getting stuff," Y/n answered, "why do you ask A san."
"I saw you with a taller man, is he maybe your boyfriend." the lady said as she packed her snacks in a bag.
"Oh no he's just a good friend of mine." Y/N cleared up as heat rose to her face.
"Oh really okay sorry if I insulted you or anything," the lady said handing her the bag, "but you should try something, I could see that he is a very good person."
"Um yeah I'll keep your word to heart A san," Y/N said blushing even harder now.
"Have a nice night dear." the older cashier said.
"Thanks you too." Y/N said walking towards the food court with her bag in hand.
She walked over to Kuroo and saw that he just received his food. Kuroo saw her and walked towards Y/N as well. "Did you get your snacks yet?" Kuroo asked.
"Yeah I did, where do you want to eat." Y/N replied.
"I wanted to eat at a park if that's fine."
"Yeah of course, but which park do you want to go to?"
"I was thinking of Yoyogi Park, I heard it was a nice place."
"Alright then let's go."
The two walked to the place and boarded another train to Yoyogi Park. After a while, they made it there and walked in the park. Since it was in the evening, the park was dark and there was no one here except for the two. "Do you want to sit at that bench over there." Kuroo said as he pointed at a bench near a tree.
"Oh yeah sure," Y/N agreed. They walked over to the bench and sat down. Kuroo pulled out his food and started to eat and Y/N pulled out her chocolates to eat.
"You know, being at a park at night feels really different," Y/N commented before eating a piece of chocolate.
"Yeah you're right, especially when no one else is here."
"Well we do have each other right."
Kuroo nodded and asked, "Hey Y/N chan, do you want some?"
"No it's fine."
"Are you sure, it's really good." Kuroo said. He held a piece of food on his chopstick near her face.
"Um maybe just one bite." Y/N replied.
"Good here, open your mouth." Y/N followed his orders and he placed the food in her mouth carefully.
Y/N ate the food and said, "Mhmm this is good, no wonder this is your favorite food."
"Do you want some more?"
"Oh yeah sure, just one more bite though."
"Here open up ." Kuroo said as he held out the food again. Y/N opened her mouth and ate the food. They finished up the food and started to look and walk around the park for a bit.
"Hey Chibi Chan?"
"Yeah what it is?"
"Do you like chemistry?"
"Oh no it's a bit hard, but I don't mind," Y/N replied, "why do you ask?"
"I was just wondering if you liked it like me, are you a math person or what."
"Yeah i'm a math person, but I don't mind chemistry so you could try anything."
"Kay that's good, I don't want to make you uncomfortable with some of my jokes."
"Well I don't really care if you make those jokes even if I don't understand them."
Kuroo stopped in front of a shrine surrounded by trees. He thought that this was a good place to make a move. Since the place looked really nice, it hit differently at night, the shrine looked really nice, the fireflies were out, and he was here with Y/N.
"Hey Chibi Chan, can I ask you something pretty important." Kuroo asked as he looked in her eyes.
"Yeah what is it," Y/N asked quietly.
"W-will you be my girlfriend?" Kuroo asked quietly, blushing quite hard, "please?" Kuroo bowed down at that last part.
Y/N walked closer to him and hugged his head. She was blushing of course, and she said, "Yeah I'd like that a lot Kuroo san."
"Wait what?!" Kuroo said now standing up correctly, "can you say that again."
"I'd like Kuroo san, to be your girlfriend I mean." Y/N said with a red face.
"Oh I-I don't know what to say, I only prepared what to say if you rejected me." Kuroo admitted as he touched the nape of his neck, "Does that mean I get to hold your hand now."
"Yeah of course, I'm happy that I could call you my boyfriend now," Y/N exclaimed while extending her hand out to him, "but do you know how to date."
"Yeah I do," Kuroo said, taking Y/N's invitation, to hold her hand, "and I'm happy to call you my girlfriend. Oh and do you want to go somewhere else tonight."
"Well can we go to the beach, I've always wanted to see Tokyo Bay."
"Let's go then, do you go to the beach often in Miyagi,"
"Well there was this one time I went with the team as a second year, but the ride was really far so I don't go all that much."
"I'll try to make this a good experience for you then." Kuroo said happily.
"This may sound really weird, but it's already a good experience whenever I'm with you."
Kuroo blushed and looked away from Y/N due to the embarrassment. He rubbed her thumb just to tease her. She looked towards the ground when he looked at her. Kuroo giggled and said, "Oya is someone here flustered?"
"Well I mean it is your fault for rubbing my hand." Y/N said back softly, "let's head over to the train station now is that fine."
"Yeah that's fine, let's go then Chibi Chan," Kuroo replied as he squeezed Y/N's hand lightly.
They boarded a train and arrived at the bay in a couple minutes or so. It was a really nice night, the water was cold, the sand was soft, and the city lights in the background were perfect."So what should we do at the beach?" Kuroo asked.
"Do you want to eat and walk on the beach with me?" Y/N asked back, "that seems fun enough right?"
"Let's do that then, I'll toss that plastic bag for you," Kuroo took the bag from Y/N's hands and jogged over to a nearby trash can. She watched him jog and saw that he almost tripped, Y/N giggled at this action as he headed back.
"Please don't tell me you saw that." Kuroo said, looking embarrassed.
"It's not embarrassing, it's cute. Now let's get Kuroo san."
"Okay," He said as the took off their shoes to walk on the sand, "Hey Chibi Chan"
"Hmm yeah what's the matter," Y/N said after she opened the Pepero box. Kuroo didn't say anything else and took her free hand, since the box was in her hoodie pocket and she held her shoes.
"Do you want me to hold your shoes?" Kuroo blushed.
"No that's alright, holding my hand is enough." Y/N said smiling at the taller male, "do you want some." Y/N's Pepero stick was hanging out her mouth as she handed him a stick.
"Yeah sure." Kuroo said. Instead of taking the one that she handed to him, Kuroo lifted her chin and he bent down. He took a good sized bite out of her stick and said, "This does taste good thanks."
"Aww is my Chibi Chan flustered, you look so cute." Kuroo laughed slightly at Y/N's flustered face. He caressed Y/N's face with one hand and gave her a kiss on her forehead. It wasn't a passionate kiss or a hard kiss, it was a light loving kiss. After that he smiled at the shorter girl and she put her arms around his neck pulling him into a light hug.
"Do you want to head back now, I think it's getting pretty late." Kuroo commented as he blushed slightly.
Y/N let go of him so he could stand up correctly. "Here just wait for a bit, I want to do something really quick."
Y/N walked away from him to pick up a small nearby rock/shell to toss into the ocean. Kuroo was admiring her from afar and thought, "Wow she really is precious."
"Kay I'm done let's head back." Y/N exclaimed, "and thanks for tonight, it was fun."
"Nope thank you Chibi Chan, you made my day."
The new couple arrived back at the school at 8pm. Both walked in the gates and walked near the gym. "I'll go practice now Chibi Chan, but before that do you want me to walk you to your room?"
"No it's fine, I can make it there myself. Plus I won't hear the end of it from the managers if you arrive with me." Y/N replied, "I'll leave now, um bye Kuroo san and have fun."
Y/N began to walk away from Kuroo, until he caught up and hugged her from behind saying, "Hey Chibi Chan, I want to be a proper boyfriend for you so let me do a couple things next time alright."
Y/N replied with a nod as Kuroo pulled his arms away and gave her a small peck on her cheek. Her face faded into a light pink as he jogged away into the gym. She walked to the managers' room wondering what the group was currently doing.

Luck And Chronomancy
Time Magic is the best magic as everyone knows, although there are lots of unique Talents in the world. Most people only remember Haste because it is hard to get to higher Phases of Chronomancy. That is still enough to make the Talent iconic. A lucky enough Aleatory Talent can position you for greatness or leave you languishing in obscurity. The only true equality in the world is when that glowing message pops up at 8 years old. Even if it doesn't activate until you are an adult at 16 you still know. Sure you can find a new dungeon spawn and get another chance at a rare Talent, even this one, but you have to already be ready to delve into the *Far Wilds*, which is far easier with wealth or family power. This is the story of where my good fortune took me and the difference it made, even among a party of 7 others including an Arcanist. It is a journey of magic and monsters but also math, which some think is actually worse. Luckily I was born with Intelligence and Focus as my personal traits, and my parents were scholars. Of course Chronomancy can also be a frontline combat talent. Versitility well beyond other Elder Talents like Gravity, Abstraction, or Arcana. Might could have worked for me, too. I also met a runaway princess. All the best adventures have a princess. She hated being a noble and we didn't get married but it still counts. Besides she really filled out our front line. All that Leadership training came in handy. I still don't know where she's from. Who cares? How well Haste goes with giant hammers is what's important. I never learned much about anyone in the party, except the one I grew up with. I'm not a people person. I just wanted to optimize dungeon clearing time. *******Story Details******* No romance, politics, or traumatizing content, slice of life, or even dialogue. 1st person narration, like a guide/adventure log. 2000-7000 words a day, maybe 40-60% rpgish combat log with some reasoning on combat decisions, with the rest character Talent discussion and progression stuff. 8 person party with a decent variety in roles. Party members usually have 2 primary functions. Told from the support/control Chronomancer's perspective. Each party member will have 6 Basic/Background Traits, then 3 actual Talents with abilities. Capstone from their Educational Institution, Arbritrary as a gift from the temples, and Aleatory which is decided at birth, revealed at 8, and activated after adulthood at 16. Aleatory Traits ignore requirements and are random why is why they are so important. They'll gain new Talents from finding Dungeons to consume in the *Wilds*. Mature dungeons in cities can provide *Challenges* to raise the Phase of a Talent, up to 3 times from 1 to 4. Each character will get to roughly 8 non-Trait Talents. Attributes come exclusive from Talents, are required by Talents, and provide various effects as well. I designed about 220 Talents with abilities, 4 in each of 4 phases. "Traits" are just Attribute stuff. I'm not sure how many will be detailed in the story, more than 100 for sure. I used Talents because I want to be free of the legacy of tabletop. Half those rules are just because of the limitations inherent in a pre-computer ttrpg. This story mostly uses combat Talents, although like 1/3 of the 220 are for crafting and other society and economy stuff. If you really wanted to be a Thief you might take Intuition, Awarness, and Might for Basic Traits and Deftness, Manipulation, and Trickery for Family/Education. Then you'd pick Acrobatics, and Climbing for Educational Capstone and Arbitrary traits. You Aleatory Trait might be Shadow(Light/Dark) Magic, Umbramancy. A Bard might swap Dexterity for Charisma, Music for Acrobatics, and have gotten Illusion(Shadow/Sound(Air/Force)) for their Aleatory Trait.
