《Save Me Kuro (Kuro X Reader)》-10-

It's been a week since the whole Hitoshi situation and I haven't seen Nanami in awhile. Even though I said she was gonna have to, basically, take care of herself...I'm still worried. I've called up the school a few times and her friends. The school said she was there, so she was obviously attending school and her friends said she would come over to stay at their house for a night or two. I've called Izumy, her best friend, and she said that Nanami's been staying over there for a little while as well. So, since she's doing her own thing, I guess I'll do mine. I might check up on her here and there.
"Goodmorning Kuro," I say as I walk into the living room and plop myself down on the couch. It was almost twelve. I slept in and actually had a good dream.
"Morning," Kuro sleepily states.
"Whatcha doing?" I ask.
"Playing video games."
"Hmmm...I bet I could beat you."
"Do you really want to repeat your ass whooping, (Y/n)?"
"That only happened because you cheated!" A flash of what happened last time made my face heat up. Kuro glances over his shoulder at me and smirks.
"How did I cheat?" I can practically hear the cocky smirk on his face as he continues his attention to the screen.
"Y-you know what you did," I stutter while cupping my cheeks in an embarrassed manner. "Hm. I don't remember can y-"
"YOU KISSED ME!" I yell, my body heats with embarrassment. I hear Kuro chuckle and the game he's playing pause. Currently, my eyes are closed and I honestly feel like sprinting down that damn hallway and into my room. Or I could run over to the curtains and open them. Before I can even go through with one of my plans, I feel the couch dip to the left of me.

I open my eyes and turn my head to see Kuro next to me. His legs are crossed, he's playing the game and is really close to me. Like really close. After a few minutes, Kuro begins to speak, "(Y/n)."
"U-uh y-yes?"
"You know you were just staring at me right?"
"I was not!"
"Yeah, you w-" Kuro's sentence gets cut short and a voice from the Tv says, 'Game Over'. I smirk at him and then slowly start to grin.
"Why are you looking at me like that?"
"Because you lost, Kuroooo." Kuro looks away sheepishly. "I had the difficulty all the way up."
"I thought you said you could win at any difficulty," I say, my voice dripping with delight.
"I can."
"Oh yeah, because you're suuuuch a winner," I say dragging out my sentence.
"I am," Kuro says while scratching the back of his neck.
"Oh, sure pal," I get up and walk into the kitchen.
"It's not like you'll ever be able to beat me in anything," Kuro says while restarting from where he left off.
"Is that a challenge, Kuro?" Kuro hums in response.
"Oh honey, there's a lot. And I mean a lot I can beat you in," I state while grabbing leftovers, from the previous night, out the fridge and into the microwave. After a few minutes, the microwave beeps.
I plate the leftovers, walk into the living room and put the plates down on the coffee table.
"C'mon Kuro," I sit down at the coffee table and Kuro follows suit. "And once we're down, Kuro, I'm kicking your ass," I say smirking and then start chowing down on my food.

The Werewolf Cheerleader
Being a cheerleader is easier than being a werewolf. Jessica Tumbleleague is a typical teenage girl who loves being a cheerleader at Moondale High. But after an encounter with a werewolf in the woods, Jessica discovers a frightening world she never thought is real. Dangerous magic, deadly fierce spirits, and other malevolent creatures. Now Jessica must fight the forces of darkness to protect her hometown while balancing her supernatural life with her high school life. But can she control the beast within herself? Note: This is a rewrite of the original with the same name. I decided to change the third-person style to first-person because I liked Jessica's voice better. She is funny and very strong. With the story only focusing on her, I can keep the mystery suspenseful and the reader can experience what Jessica is experiencing. It is a typical YA style, but it is fun to write as your main character. There are changes, but the first and second books will be similar to the third-person chapters. Let me know what you think and I hope you will enjoy this new version of the Werewolf Cheerleader. I will post the chapters every Friday in the afternoon. P.S, there is a Werewolf Cheerleader short story published in the Tales of Dungeons, All Hallows book. Titled The Werewolf Cheerleader: Castle and Ghouls. The short is also in first-person, which made me decide to change the book series into first-person. The link is below if you want to check it out. https://www.royalroad.com/amazon/B08MCS82R5

Sara's (not really) Fabulous System Armageddon, Book I: The World Ended at Rush Hour
Planet Earth, Monday, October 7th, 2019. 18:30 * * On a fateful day, during rush hour in eastern North America, Heavens and Hell crumbled and fell from their higher dimension on Earth. It came from "above" but not the same above we regard in our tridimensional Euclidean reasoning. No, it came from "above" as in from a higher dimension. Bits and pieces of those places fell on Earth from all directions, this time in tridimensional Euclidean space. Satellites, the ISS, and space debris all were wiped clean from orbit. Even those that didn't crash with the falling debris were knocked off orbit by the shockwaves. On the ground, power distribution lines were disrupted and most power facilities were left abandoned by their dead staff. Most of these had emergency shutdown routines that engaged in a few days. Some others had a survivor among their staff that followed protocol and activated their SCRAM switches, stopping the power plant. Long-distance communication disappeared the internet along with it. The world was plunged into technological darkness. Nine hundred and ninety-nine out of every thousand human beings perished immediately in the pulse of magical energy from the torn spatial boundary. Spirits were rent asunder and vanished, their fate neither salvation nor damnation, only oblivion. The criteria used for this culling was latent magic potential. It didn't discriminate against education, gender, age, or ethnic group. But of the around seven million survivors, most would meet their doom moments later. Those on moving vehicles, like the ones driving on highways suddenly had to contend with high-speed uncontrolled cars and trucks driven by corpses. Trapped in their vehicles and helpless, they became part of the long snake of crushed metal. Very few survived. Those in the air or out in the sea were alone and probably unable to control their rides. Airplanes crashed, and ships kept their course or drifted away, depending on their autopilot. Several ended their own lives in utter despair after seeing their loved ones die in front of them. Another large group would die at the hands of other survivors. Violence and aggression became the norm. Only a few sparse pockets of not-so-sane survivors managed to band together and cooperate for the sake of mutual survival. The sole survivor in a five-over-one apartment building in Georgia, a girl became the keystone to humanity's survival. Sara's fabulous System Apocalypse had just started. She has only one remark. It was anything but fabulous. * * Updates every Wednesday and Sunday.
