《Little Dark Age ◆ JeonJungkook✔》Thirteen - I Think I Killed A Guy

"Oh my god, dude." You held up the lukewarm soda can defensively, almost getting a heart attack when Jungkook's head suddenly appeared in front of you - upside down, hanging from the ceiling.
"HA! Did I scare you?"
"Of course you scared me, idiot. What are you doing up there anyways?" You clasped your racing heart, glaring up at him.
His hair was falling down, making him look like on of these trolls from the movie Trolls, face slowly starting to get redder as the blood rushed into his head.
"Over there, there's a ladder." Jungkook explained, looking overly excited, "I wanted to look what's it there for and, surprise, there's a second level! Like, like and attic, or something."
You looked over at said ladder, reading the sign right next to it that said 'store room' and sighed, "I really gotta teach you how to read, some day."
He just grinned sheepishly, before his head disappeared back in the ceiling of the drug store again.
You dropped the soda can, before scrambling over to the ladder, climbing over pushed over shelves on your way. The whole room wasn't very large, just a corner store on a once busy street, every surface covered in dust after no one's been here in so long.
Seeing dusty, abandoned places like this always reminded you of how... lonely the world had gotten. Traveling with Jungkook helped to forget that there wasn't actually anyone else around, the man taking up most of your attention anyways, so standing alone in this grimy room was like a slap in the face.
All of a sudden, you got this irrational feeling that, if you went up there, Jungkook wouldn't be here anymore and you would be all alone, the abrupt anxiety making you hurry and climb up the iron bars. Shortly before sticking your head through the hole in the ceiling you stopped, "There aren't any prowlers, are there?"
"Nope!" Jungkook answered, popping the p.
You climbed up the remaining steps, brushing off your dusty clothes as soon as you were standing in the store room.

It was surprisingly bright, large windows letting in sunlight from the street outside. Thousands of dust particles flew through the air, reflecting the light falling through the windows, looking like dancing pixie dust. A bunch of old boxes were scattered all over the place, some in the large iron shelf on the other side of the room, some just laying around on the floor.
"Should we sleep here for the night?" Jungkook proposed, "Look, you can ev'n close the entry." He pointed at the trapdoor that had the same color as the ceiling.
"I don't know...."
"And there's a toilet over there." Your companion grinned, pointing at a small door next to the iron shelf.
You remember about you not liking to pee outside? You also remember about Jungkook being awfully accepting with it? Yeah.
You huffed, "Alright, whatever."
"Okay, uhm, imma just... go downstairs to look for new bandages n' stuff?" Jungkook suggested, wanting to give you some alone space.
You nodded thankfully, watching him climb back down before going over to the room on the opposite wall.
Carefully, you opened it - it was a single room, with a ridiculously small sink and cleaning products piled together on a tiny windowsill, the window being opened wide.
You sighed, closing the door with a click - it must've caught rust by now, because it was pretty hard to close (not that anyone would've come in anyways).
You were about to, you know, just do your business, when the bone chilling sound of wet limbs dragging over a hard surface chimed up, together with a familiar gurgle sound.
You froze on your spot, shiver running down your spine when a drop of slimy, black liquid fell onto your shoulder from above. Slowly, you lifted your head, just to stare at the horrifying sight of a skinny prowler only inches away from your face.
If it had had eyes, it would've probably stared back.
A wave of adrenaline pushed through your body and you reached backwards to open the door, in the same time as the creature leaped forwards, onto you.

You shrieked, panicking when you realized that the fucking door wouldn't open, rattling on the handle while trying to keep the monster way from you with your other arm.
Knife
God, Jungkook had started to make you carry this small pocket knife around where ever you went.
You reached behind you, snapping the knife open just as the prowler reached his skinny arms forwards, going for your throat.
Blindsided, you just stabbed somewhere, towards the creature, knife stuck in the prowler's shoulder doing nothing to make it loosen it's grip around you.
You stumbled forwards choking, the monster's back crashing into the sink with a loud bang.
"Y/N?!" Jungkook's voice came from further away.
"Jungko- hrkg-" You wheezed, pulling at the knife again.
The door started to rattle, but you didn't have time to wait for Jungkook, vision going blurry already, small stars dancing in front of your eyes.
With more luck than skill you swung your only free arm around, knife in your hand pointing downward while the prowler tried to get up and on top of you weakly.
The feeling of the blade cutting through it's throat was sickening, the creature's hands going limb the moment your knife slit through it.
You stared at the monster through blurry, teary eyes, stared at the knife that was stuck in the throat you didn't manage to fully slice and was still hanging together through small bits of skin.
In the very moment, the door banged open, literally ripping out of it's hinges with a hammering crash, Jungkook immediately storming in with fear written all over his face, "Y/N!"
His eyes flew over the scene in front of him - you kneeling in front of the sink, knife in your hand, lifeless prowler pressed against the wall.
Not even a second had passed and Jungkook scrambled forwards, scooping you up into his arms hastily, while gently taking the knife out of your tense grasp, "Shhh, shh, there, it's fine." He pulled you backwards carefully, out of the small room, "Hey, Chibi, relax, s' over, it's fine."
You realized you were shaking badly, a single tear rolling down your cheek onto his shoulder as you blinked confused when Jungkook pulled you out of your shocked state, "I-" You cleared your throat, "I'm sorry. Th-That was clumsy of me. I was stupid."
"No, no." He sat down, leaning against the wall right underneath the window, still holding you tight with one arm slung around your waist and the other softly pressed your head into the crook of his neck, "That wasn't your fault," He whispered, "I should've checked the restroom as well."
You nodded into his shirt, trying to will yourself into stopping to shake, "I-I'm sorry. I shouldn't be s-so shocked. You do this stuff all the time yet I-"
"No, stop." Jungkook whispered softly, hand on your head starting to tenderly brush through your hair, "You've never done this before. It's scary, I know that. You're allowed to be scared, Chickie."
You clenched your teeth, allowing yourself to bury your face in his shoulder.
His uncharacteristically soft voice and whispered nonsense slowly managed to calm you down, racing heart easing slowly as time went by.
"S' fine." Jungkook mumbled, head leaned back against the wall with his eyes half closed.
"Thanks." You muttered after some minutes, falling backwards onto your knees embarrassed, "That- uh- yeah. Thanks."
He gave you a crooked smile, "Why? It was my fault anyways." He reached forward to ruffle your already messed up hair, "You good now?"
You nodded, though you knew that the feeling of the blade cutting through the prowler's throat would haunt you in your dreams for a long while from now on.
"If not then... don't be scared to go to me, yeah?" He smiled at you, hint of sadness hidden behind these pretty eyes, "I know what it feels like, okay?"
