Morning is always a new fresh start. A new beginning of the day. But for me today is the best morning and best day.

I have my best friend with me, my lover, my happiness and my family with me.

Last night was really interesting, I never thought I could get a suprise like this. Niki, I'm back to my Niki is back. I could see her, touch her, talk to her face to face and more importantly, have her with me 24X7 in front of me on our special day after almost four year!

Last night when her Brother caught us on bed laying on each other, I shivered in fear of what might he think.

"Nik, it's not what.."

"Leave it, I know both of you." Nik said still standing at the door while I immediately stood up in attention. I looked at him with little nervous look. "Karan, you will only get two hours more, then you will move out. I don't want to interfere in your special day,but remember, she is my sister." He specifically pressed the word sister like a warning. While I just nodded.

When Nik left, I sat on the bed realising a sigh of relief. "He totally scared the shit out of me! " She laughed at my statement.

I saw her smile, the way she laughed. So long, it has been so long. "What are you staring at? Huh? Never saw a beautiful girl before?" She mischievously asked raising her eyebrows.

"I have. The one that's the most important and beautiful girl I have ever seen is You. " I replied and saw her pink staining her cheeks. She blushed. And after that we continued talking of anything and everything. How I spend my days there? How much we missed each other and all.

She is still on her bed, while I'm in her room half sleeping beside her. I didn't even realised when sleep consumed us. Her hand is still clutching mine.

I admired her sleepy face. I couldn't resist and leaned down and placed a soft kiss on her forehead. She reacted by facing towards me and I smiled. I wanted to wake her up, but dared not to. She is always grumpy in morning. I just stared her when with a grown she slowly started to open her eyes. She rubbed her eyes with hand that was not holding mine.

"Good morning sunshine." I greeted her with my smile while she greeted back and again closed her eyes with smile on her lips getting closer to me. "Karan, I'm really waiting for you. Come back soon." She mumbled.

I looked at her confused about what she said.

I was about to wake her when the door of her room opened reveling Tina. She was looking fresh. "Good morning, Karan." She greeted with a smile.

"Karan, come back na..." Again Niki mumbled and Tina just sighed .

"Why is she..." Before I could question Tina said "it's her habit. After you left, she would call you in her sleep sometimes. First we too got worried but then we got used to it "

"Niki! Wake up. And get ready, Ronit is waiting for you downstairs." Tina told Niki to which she grunted.

"I'm giving you fifteen minutes or I'm telling him that you won't come."

"Ok, ok, bhabhi. I'm getting up." Niki answered still not opening her eyes.

I slowly pulled my hand back and quickly started to move down. Niki was still asleep. With a last look, and a crazy plan in my mind I left the room.

When I came down I saw Nik, Tina playing with a little toddler, and a man looking professional in his black suit. They all were talking and smiling sitting on the chair around the small dining table. While Nik was fully focused on his breakfast i could still knew he was listening all the conversation that was going on.

"She is getting fresh, she will be down in few minutes." Tina informed the man.

"She is still asleep, right!" The man replied nodding his head side by side knowingly.

"Ronit, she can't change for anyone. Because of her, first I was always late of college, and now it's you who get that treatment." Nik said eating his breakfast.

"Aren't you gonna mention me? I was too late because of her." I said making my presence known.

They all turn towards me, but I specifically looked at the man. His face was quite good, his eyes were blue. He looked quite familiar, like I have seen him before. Tina that was feeding the little boy from a bowl saw me too. He must be Nik's kid. He looks similar to Nik.

"So, I think your two hour got finished, huh?" Nik gave me questioning look.

"He is...?" The man with blue eyes asked to which Tina immediately answered telling my name and even introduced me about man saying "Karan, he is Ronit. Niki and Ronit both work together in the company."

"Oh! So, you are Karan. At last you came. It has been long since I have met you." Ronit stood up coming towards me to shake hand. But I still was looking at him to search him in my memory bank. "Remember the one who came to here when Niki's mom and dad were here." He said

Than it clicked in my mind, of course how can I forgot him.

"Yes, I remember" I said giving him a short smile.

"Nik, Tina, I want your help." I ignored him for a while cause I wanted the help before Niki wake up.

"What is it?" Nik asked still busy with his breakfast like it's the last dish he is having. "I know Niki will be here in five minutes, listen carefully." I carefully explained them the plan and even got Ronit in my team. I don't know him fully, but as Nik have allowed him to take Niki with him to office every day, and being Niki she too never protested, I think he isn't bad.

They were listening me carefully, while Nitin- Nik and Tina's son- was looking at us with confused look.

Nik first was reticulated but then after a stern look from Tina he accepted. Ronit smiled and was really amused by my plan.

"You surely are the one prank maker. Niki was right." Roint commented to which I felt proud.

I heard the door opening sound and I signalled them giving them a thumbs up!

Tina being a very very good mother and friend took Nitin in his room for playing.

We heard the foot step coming down the stairs. Guys, let's begin.

"Karan!" She exclaimed and quickly hugged me tight. I resisted my self to reciprocate.

"Bhabhi, I want our special dish today. We are going to karan's house." She said excitedly. She was wearing a gown that covered her knee. She even wore makeup, which is very rare for her. Her hair tied in high pony tail. She even wore the braslate that gave a chiming sound as she walked. She was smiling. Her beautiful smile, one that could melt my heart in one second.

"Why did you want to go there? Your arms are tried or what? Are you trying to catch air? And by the way aren't you going to office with Ronit? See, Ronit is here to take you." Tina asked but then stopped and saw me and again looked her and gave her a confused look "why are you wearing that dress?" And then looked at Ronit asking " Are you both have having some important meeting or are you taking her on a date?" Tina raised her eyebrows towards Ronit and Niki.

"Tina! What are you saying. Can't you see I'm going to celebrate my friendship day with Karan." Niki exclaimed and then looked at me saying "Karan, aren't you going to say anything?"

I just shrugged my shoulder.

"Niki..." Nik called her and Niki turned towards him " Whom are you talking too?"

"Yea, whom are you talking too?" This time it was Ronit. "We are getting late Niki. Let's go to office."

"Are you all nuts? Karan, let's go." Niki said frustrated and came towards me and grabbed my hand to pull me.

" Niki, Karan is in newyork. You forgot?" Tina would have been a good actress if she wanted to.

"Niki, it's enough. Go to your office, because of you Roint is getting late and stop making fool of us." Nik fake scolded Niki.

"Nik, can't you see Karan standing here. Or do you have lost your eyesight? Remember he came last night. And see he is still wearing the same clothes. Don't fool me. And Karan it's enough, let's go." My plan was working good. I could see the uncertainty in her eyes.

"Niki, I know you are missing Karan. But .."

"Shut the hell up you all. I know it's my Karan who is standing here. Don't play games." I could see if we continue for one more minute she is gonna have tears.

I just wanted a few more minutes, but I have very good luck cause in next second we heard the door opening sound reviling Nitin.

And here my plan goes to gutter!

God why? Just why?

"Nitin, my boy... Go greet the man standing near the dining table. Be a good host." Niki said in her cute voice and Nitin faced me looking at me. He came forward and stood in front of me.

And the plan fails!
