《Forbidden to the World》View of Both Worlds - Part 1

"P-Please! Don't d-do-" the drunk middle aged man's pleading were cut off as a knife was shoved right through his throat, making its way through the other end. After a minute, the culprit yanked it back out, causing the lifeless body to drop face flat on the hard cement. Painting it with his thick crimson liquid.
"Pathetic..." the young male spat. Glaring in disgust at his now stained knife that was once shinny and clean, then back at the victim.
It all started at the bar, where the raven haired teen and his uncle decided to relax after a long day. It was like any other ordinary bar, classical music in the background, a couple making out, last but not least... drunk peasants. The pair walked to their seats where the familiar bartender greeted them. "The usual?" The worker asked, knowing the answer already. "What do yuh think?" The other rolled his eyes. He laid back willing at the trustworthy chair and rested his leather boots on the counter, crossing them as if he owns the damn place. His head was low, flicking his hat out of his way which only went back to where it once was.
The old man shook him up a drink and didn't bother to demand the lazy bearded one to sit properly since he was used to this type of behavior.
Kenny Ackerman. He had a sense of humor, especially when he was in the middle of being out, doing illegal crime. As much as he joked, he was a pretty smart guy when it came to planning. He was known as the boogieman for fuck sake. No one let the fact that he was a prodigy at murder slide across their head. Wall Sheena is the worst place to ever visit. Its security only protected themselves and took advantage of others to feel superior, the citizens had freedom to do whatever they wanted to do, which was perfect for a man like Kenny. Especially for his nephew, Levi Ackerman.
Kenny's sister sadly passed away due to a disease that couldn't be cured. Yes, he was distraught, but he didn't want his own blood to keep him from his duties. As much as his own life was enough to worry about, a part of him knew that when he met Levi, who was what he described, 'a living shit', he had to take him in. He may look like a nuisance (which he actually is), but his blood flowing through him was with no doubt the same as his. He always hated himself as he finally took responsibility for the kid, but he couldn't ever bring himself to leave him behind.
Kenny didn't know how to nurture a little one like a proper guardian since he had no one to act like one for him, though he taught the youngster what he knew best. Kill to survive, don't trust everyone you meet, take advantage of what you have, don't be a fool. If you ask him, it was a wise choice to have taught him that, especially since he was in such a cruel place. Sheena was surely like a war ground, so if anything, Kenny taught him well.

That once starving, boney child is now one of the most feared criminals within the walls. Not just any criminal, by the He was only 5 when he got his first kill who was a young girl around his age that got on his nerves. Ever since then, he craved more which was fulfilled by his uncle. Teaching him many ways to torture others but in a more "professional way". As time flew, the crowd decided to name him the "Prince of Blood". Even though everyone was a living animal, they surely fear at the mention of him.
That so called Prince was now being flirted by a drunk overweighted man. His little strands of hair was moistened and glued weirdly over the skinny bald head with sweat. Everything about the man was just utterly disgusting. He was a pig... a drunk pig. Kenny didn't bother to step up for Levi, since he didn't care, but also because he knew Levi could handle it on his own. The bartender came back to serve him his 2nd drink, while Levi was sitting still, leaning himself on the counter with a cup of scotch in hand, staring at it with his infamous deadpan expression.
The pig was surely getting on Levi's nerves, but he stood on his ground. Kenny taught him to be patient, and the kid thought it was complete bullshit, but figured it to be rather useful at times. Levi didn't mind the dirty talk that the drunky was slurring, but he crossed the line when he placed his malodorous hand on Levi's shoulder. Levi immediately stood up, grabbing the man by the back of the shirt and dragging him to the back of the building. No one seemed to care, which they shouldn't, as Levi wanted. 'Mind your damn business...'
That's how the poor pig got into such a situation. Levi whipped the knife, causing some blood to scatter around, just enough to make the knife to have less stains to deal with. The teen spit on the dead and left. Walking back to his seat, he took out a handkerchief from his pants pocket and cleaned his precious knife.
"You still have that damn thing?" Kenny chuckled, recognizing the weapon that was in Levi's possession. It's the same knife he gave him the first day they met, along with being the first weapon he killed with. The boy answered with a "Tch" and continued his cleaning. For what felt like hours in the bar, Kenny had enough and paid for his and Levi's drinks. With the bartender waving and cleaning up their mess, the pair began to walk home.
On the way to their place, they saw the same old same olllld. Children's cries heard amongst the shattered glass, women shouting for help as men began to rape her in an alley, soldiers drinking. The Ackermans dared not to acknowledge any of the scenes, for they just wanted to go home and sleep.
10 minutes or so passed and they finally made it home. It was a crippling apartment, but technically everything down here in Sheena is crippled so what's new? Just because the Ackerman's are famous and all, doesn't mean they can get the nice things. Sure, money, some gold, a good bed, but not a nice house. Even if it was a deadbeat building, it was their little secret territory. There was useless lowlifes living in the same place, but there was some special people the two could rely on. It's what you would consider, their gang members.

"Levi! Kenny! Ah, you two are finally back! Got what I need?" The young girl greeted the two as they were passing by the second floor. She was wearing high knee boots, brown jeans and a faded white loose shirt that had cuts on it. We could never forget her thick glasses that were secured on her face with ribbon. Her brown hair was messily tied in a ponytail, and as she rubbed the back of her hand on her cheek, a tint of charcoal dust was colored. She was a year younger than Levi, 15, but managed to be a bit taller. Kenny pulled out a pouch from his trench coat and tossed it in the air, having the girl scream and jump for it. He rolled his eyes and walked away, but Levi decided to stay behind for a minute or two.
"Lower your voice and clean yourself, four eyes." The raven head scowled. Even though he lives in a hellhole, he despises mess, dirt, anything that is considered untidy. He surely had an OCD, and it's a shocker to find someone like him in such a place. The girl just drooled when she stared at what was in the pouch. All it it had were screws, used pencils, and other random scraps for her new inventions. Levi didn't want to ask what she was going to use it for, nor did he even care.
Hanji Zoe, she was a bit of a lunatic, always a curious and scientific nerd, but she surely is helpful when it came to education. The 15 year old knew Levi ever since he came into the place. She would always pester and trigger the young one, and yes, he attempted to kill her, but all she would do was laugh.
"Why the fuck are you laughing?" The 5 year old growled, sitting on top of the 4 year old, knife resting on her chest as he was waiting for an answer. "You're just funny!" She managed to blurt between her hysterical laughing.
Levi got off of her and walked away, "this crazy four eyes is really something..."
Even though she did get on his nerves, he spared her. Growing up together, they became close, and as much as Levi didn't want to admit, they were "friends". She would talk about all the books she read, teaching the other with fascinating facts from math, science, life. It did surprise him to meet someone smart in Sheena. She was even the first to teach him about the body and how it works, which supported him in gaining some new ideas of how to torture someone. Yes, the female was aware of who he was and what he was capable of, but that didn't stop her from wanting to be familiar with him.
"Thank you!" She ruffled the once neatly slicked back hair into a mess. Levi roughly smack her hand off of him, gaining herself a chuckle and apologizing short after. Levi sighed and combed his hair back once before walking away, ignoring Hanji's farewell and other background shouting from other neighbors.

Levi locked the door behind him and took of his shoes, placing them neatly next to Kenny's. Kenny was the opposite from Levi's perspective on keeping things clean, but the least he could do was take off his shoes before walking any further on the spotless hardwood floor. The man did appreciate what Levi had to offer, which was he some kind of housekeeper. On his way to his room, he saw Kenny passed out on the couch. Rolling his eyes, he kept walking to his room to grab a fresh change of clothes and head for the bathroom.
It didn't take him long to do his night routine; shower, brush teeth, wash knife, clean a bit, check if everything is locked, and head for bed.
Levi surely lived a good life. He was fulfilling his deed of a life as "Prince of Blood", (a name he detest) and better than being dead. He was well fed, had good people by his side, and even a bed to comfortably sleep on... but there was something missing. Something he thinks he needs but doesn't quite know what it could be. He would always try his best to ignore it like how he deals with the rest of his problems, but it's lingering and from behind the head.
He want-no, he needs to know what he's missing, for it's only eating him up more as by the hour. The unforgivable feeling that swelled inside his chest had begun when he was 14. Even now, he hasn't even had one clue as to what would be the cause of this displeasing aching. As much as he desires to know, he can't yet, and only has to sleep it off and pretend it isn't real. Like always...

A/N: How are you enjoying the story so far? I'm hoping you like it, especially the details and whatnot. I'm trying to be as descriptive as I could be to have you guys get the idea of who the person looks, what's going on, and so forth.
I wanted to fit in Eren's perspective here as well but I feel like it'd be too much. I also think it'd be best for them to have their own chapter.
If you have any concerns, please let me know. I'd like to know how you guys think of it so far, what you like and don't like about it. It'll help me be aware of what not to put again and or actually do repeat, just to keep you guys engaged... yuh know?
Arigato for reading and please stay tuned <3

The Grey Realm, an Erebus Story.
Written by: Staugroan and The Inklets. Edited by: Claudia Adams. In the beginning there was a god, who watched over and made one world his own. Soon after the god grew restless, but happened to stumble on a small world filled with life. This world was named Erebus by its peoples; humanity. The god was so fascinated with this new world that he started to copy it back home, creating oceans, forests, deserts, and so forth. Then the god created life and eventually his favored creations who would be immortals and be the better of mankind in every way-the elves. So often the god had traveled to Erebus that the two worlds became linked by magic and their inhabitants could cross at will. Relations between the races flourished, and a great empire was born in the Grey Realm, home of the elves. But the god once again grew restless, and set loose great beasts that stood at the top of any food chain, the apex. At first the elves met the challenge and fought them head on. But mankind was not so lucky, they died in droves to push back even a single apex. Something had to be done. Elves and man worked together to begin sealing off the worlds to protect mankind, to limit the ways in and out to better fight the apex off and keep their fellows safe. The ritual had adverse effects the likes of which neither the elves nor man could predict; the sealing of the worlds started slow, but the magic had never been done before, and in their ignorance it spread to completely cut the two worlds off from one another. It ejected the apex, and other magical being back into the Grey Realm, saving Erebus. At first the elves were content, they would find a way back once the apex were dead and gone. But the seal had done more than keep Erebus locked away. The powersource of the seal was magic itself, from both worlds, and it consumed it all greedily. The elves, weakened without their magic, crumbled into ruin, and the apex were free to hunt the other races of the Grey Realm. Two-thousand years later a strange phenomena is occurring and magic is slowly returning to the Grey Realm, and tears open that allow passage to Erebus. Thu'lain and a few elves must make the journey to fallen kingdom of the elves Anosora, in the hopes of reclaiming what was once theirs. They must face their nemesis the apex, and survive not only the species that have turned against them, but a terrible being left behind by the god to kill even the apex. Uch'l'thein, the faceless terror.
