《An Unknown Bond [Zeldris x OC]》Ch. 29 - The Precious Moments
Advertisement
The moment the Boar Hat is in sight, I automatically look up to the roof and the window that belongs to my room. I know that Zeldris wouldn't just sit there, waiting for me. I told him that he can't come back but he refused to listen. My mind knows that it would be better for him to stay away but my heart urges to be near him again. They want different things.
"Alright, everyone go and change into some dry clothes" Meliodas says as we enter the warm tavern. He doesn't need to say that twice because I already hurry up to my room. I just drop the wet clothes on the floor and grab a towel to dry myself. Then, I pick up my old black dress but it's still ruined from Estarossas attacks. I was so in love with the new outfit that King had made for me, that I never fixed the old one. What a bummer, I think frowning but then hear a knock on my door.
"Are you dressed?" I hear Meliodas ask and turn around to face the door naked.
"Come in and I'll kill you."
"So you're not. Mhm, I hate missing out!" Meliodas teases me and opens the door some more. "Here" he says and throws something in my direction.
I grab it and look at it to see that it's a new outfit. "There's no way on earth I'm going to wear this!" I stay sternly when I see the design but Meliodas is already gone.
I look at the pink blouse in disgust. I have never worn such a bright color before and both pieces are very short. That can only be an outfit that Meliodas, the little pervert, has ordered somewhere. I drop the new outfit on my bed and check out my old dress once more but no matter how I turn it, there's no way I can fix it. Maybe I should just keep on my wet clothes.
But in the end, I know that there's no other option and I put on the new outfit and hang up the other one so that it can dry.
I instantly earn whistles when I join the Sins downstairs and my cheeks turn deep red.
"Now, that looks really good! Maybe you should start working for me, too when the war is over" says Meliodas and grins from side to side.
"I'd do a lot of things for you but there's no way on earth I'm ever going to work for you."
"Said the same about the outfit" Meliodas smirks devilish when I find out that he had heard me.
"The Captain is right, you don't look bad" says Ban and smirks. He's surely enjoying the situation I'm in.
"Alright, one more comment about my outfit and I'll make sure you guys won't be able to say one more word for the next weeks."
"Aww, you look so adorable when you're threatening us" says Ban with an amused look on his face.
"Ban, you shouldn't push it too far. Remember what she did to the Captain when she was mad at him" says Diane.
"Oh, that was nothing" I say. "I'm mad at him all the time, that doesn't count."
"You really shouldn't underestimate her, Ban" says Meliodas and smirks widely.
"I think I can handle this lightweight, Captain" Ban says amused and his eyes look at me challenging.
"He called her lightweight" says Escanor surprised.
"He did, didn't he?" I say and cross my arms and give Ban a mad look.

"Why do you always have to exaggerate?" sighs Diane and rolls her eyes at Bans behavior.
"I think he needs to learn his lesson the hard way" says Meliodas and stands there with crossed arms as he shakes his head at the situation. "ARM WRESTLING!!" he shouts and raises his fist into the air.
"Oh man... Really?" sighs Diane another time and King sighs too.
"That should be easy. I beat the Captain 361 out of 720 times."
"You know that is not right. I beat you 361 times" says Meliodas and I see all of their friends roll their eyes.
"They do this all the time!" Diane complains.
"Can you two just get it over with?" King yammers and I chuckle before I turn to Ban.
"You might beat Meliodas a couple of times but you won't have it so easy with me" I say and sit down at one of the tables and Ban goes to sit down opposite me. We place our elbows on the table and grab a hold of each others hand.
Meliodas places his face close to Bans and my hand. "You ready?" he asks and the both of us nod. Ban smirks at me, as if he has already won but I smirk back. He has no idea.
"Okay... 3... 2... 1..."
"GO!" I shout and push Bans hand down on the table within the first second. With his mouth wide open, he stares at his hand.
"Oh, I'm sorry. Weren't you ready?" I ask him and grin all over my face, tinkling my eyes at him.
Ban still doesn't move and Meliodas takes a closer look at his friend. "I think he's paralyzed."
"Aww, boring. That was way too easy. Meliodas, how could you loose against him so many times?"
"Hey, I beat him 361 times!" my best friend complains and claps his hands in front of Bans face so he comes back to us.
"How did you do that?!" he complains in total shock but I just smirk.
"You should be glad it was arm wrestling only. Wouldn't really wanna fight me."
"Yami, please don't start another round!" laughs Meliodas and Ban massages his hand.
"I think that's enough for tonight" sighs Ban.
I'm back in my room by evening and the first thing I do is open the window. I think a part of me still hopes for Zeldris to come visit me, no matter how dangerous it is for the both of us.
But for the very first time, I feel tired and have the urge to sleep. I lay down on my bed and close my eyes for a second, when a chuckle next to me catches my attention.
I open my eyes and see Zeldris stand in front of my bed, a playful smirk is on his face. "Nice outfit" he says and I look down on me and sigh. I totally forgot about that.
"Don't mention it" I mumble angrily and get up.
"I knew you'd miss me" he smirks and nods towards the window. "But I can't believe you fell asleep while waiting for me."
"I was not waiting for you" I say and grab him by his shoulders to turn him around.
"What are you doing?" he laughs.
"Getting changed. And don't you dare to look at me getting ride of this slutty outfit."
"Aww, but I like it!" he complains and I roll my eyes.
"You're just like your brother. No DNA-test neccessary" I sigh and begin to undress myself.

"I'm only letting you get away with that because I can't turn around right now. But don't you dare to compare us ever again."
I quickly change in my usual outfit and walk over to Zeldris and place a kiss on his cheek. "That's why I love you" I say and see that Zeldris blushes. He looks so adorable! But I think telling him so would be too much for now.
"There, she finally admitted it!" he laughs and places his arms around me, pulling me really close to him. "I love you, too, Yami." This time, it's me who blushes and Zeldris smiles at me softly. "I know I shouldn't say this but you looked kinda hot in the other outfit. It just wasn't your color."
I laugh out loud. "Yeah, you really shouldn't say this."
Zeldris joins my laughter. "So, what are our plans for tonight? You wanna leave this place or just stay here and cuddle?"
"Stay here and cuddle?" I raise an eyebrow at the dark haired boy in front of me. "Is that really you, Zeldris? You're so soft!" I laugh.
"Oh, shut up!" he complains and lifts me up in his arms. "Guess we have a plan now."
"Which is?" I ask him but he already lays down in the bed and pulls me close.
"Stay here and cuddle" he says smirking.
I lay opposite him and move my hand up to his hair. "You really held them back for us..." I think out loud. "I didn't think you'd lie to me but... thank you, Zel."
"I know it's not much."
"It is! You put yourself in danger. What if Estarossa would have found out?"
"He'd kill me and then he'd kill you" he says sternly. But it doesn't shock me because I know he's right. "But I'm not worried because I'll always protect you."
"You shouldn't say that in a time like this. We're in the middle of a war."
"This war isn't between the two of us, Yami."
"Right now, it is and you know that. We can't ignore that fact forever."
"Then lets ignore it for tonight" he says before he pulls me closer and gives me a kiss.
"Hey Zel" I break the silence between us sometime later. My head rests on his shoulder, his arm is wrapped around me and my arm is wrapped around his strong chest. I move my head up to look at him and his dark eyes meet the mine. "I know you don't want to talk about it but it still bothers you... I'm sorry that I let Gowther erase your memories. I know that there's no excuse for what I did and I don't even try to come up with one. But I want you to know why I did this."
"You already told me everything" says Zeldris in confusion.
I shake my head. "I know what you're thinking but you're wrong."
"You're amusing and confusing me at the same time. What are you talking about, Yami?" says Zeldris with an amused look on his face.
"I didn't let Gowther erase your memories because I planned to just leave you or the demons world and that it would be easier that way. I left because I was worried about Meliodas. I wasn't ready to loose him and I wanted to help him. I was worried about Meliodas. I wasn't ready to loose him. I knew you would be careful and I left to find Meliodas and then come back to see you. You wouldn't have let me do that and I didn't want you to worry about me if anything goes wrong. I had no idea what would happen next and I knew I couldn't come back to the castle afterwards because I would have been a traitor, just like Meliodas. I didn't just run away. I didn't just leave you."
I sigh once I'm done blurting out my thoughts and continue to look into Zeldris' eyes, waiting for an answer. But he just stares into my eyes for some moments before he lets out a sigh, too. "I understand."
"You- what, really?" I stutter in confusion.
"I understand your motivations. I still don't think it was right what you did, you wouldn't think so too if I had done this, but I understand your motivations."
"What does that mean for us? Are you still mad?"
"It'll take some time to get over what you did. Don't get me wrong..." he says and lets his hand wander along my arm, softly carressing it. "It's not a thing about forgiveness or anything like that. Sometimes I just get scared by the thought of hurting you in any way and getting my memories back just then. What would I have done if I had hurt you in Vayzel and then remembered who you really are?" His dark eyes look deep into my eyes and I feel like he reaches my soul, when I feel him shiver in my arm. His eyes are filled with worry and sadness. They're deep like a big ocean and no matter how hard I try to read him, I fail. His innermost is so deeply hidden that one would have to swim through this ocean for ages to get even close to his innermost. I can only see what's on the surface.
"I really tried to forget you" I breath out when tears fill my eyes unexpectedly. "I knew you wouldn't remember me. We didn't even knew if the seal could be broken until what happened in Danafor. I thought I'd never see you again or that if we ever meet again, you can't remember me. I... Zeldris..." I say through tears and look at him pleadingly. "I tried everything to forget about you. But I just couldn't... and a part of me didn't want to, either."
Without any control, I lay in Zeldris' arms and cry as I look into his dark, deep eyes. Suddenly, all my despair of the many past years comes to the surface. The desperation of trying to love Zeldris less over the years. But he is just as much of an important part of my life as Meliodas.
"Shhh..." Zeldris says to me and pulls me even closer to him. He wraps both arms around me protectively. He places a kiss on my forehead and waits for me to calm down, whilst holding me as close as possible. "Isn't it a good sign that, no matter how hard you tried and how desperate things seemed, we still found our way back to each other? That's a good sign, isn't it?"
"The precious memories, carved deeply into our hearts... even if you forget them for a while or they get all foggy, never actually disappear" I mumble into Zels chest and I feel his body shaking slightly as he chuckles.
"What?"
I free myself from his strong grip, whipe away the rest of my tears and look back into his eyes. "Something similar happened to Diane, one of the sins. That's what Gowther said before her memories returned."

Join me in the great adventure of ANT TENSEI! . . Status: [Being Re-written/ Discontinued/On Hiatus] 'Final' Chapter: Chapter 14 . . . _______________________________________________________________ :Official Rewrite Notice: _______________________________________________________________ . . . As of May 18th, 2015, the particular version of Ant Tensei now being titled 'Original' was discontinued in favor 'Redux', the official rewrite of the novel. The reason being that I wasn't actually taking it seriously for more than half of the chapters. All of my Fantasy-Styled works were never originally intended for publication, but after a surprising amount of attention during the initial weeks of release on a different medium, the decision was made to develop my Fantasy-Styled works at my professional level. This decision has thus sparked the decision to Re-Launch Ant Tensei as "Ant Tensei Redux". If there are still a number of those still interested in the old version of the story that was written as a way to relieve myself of excess time, then i'll eventually look into reviving the original intent for Ant Tensei Original and draft off an independant series for it under the title "Ant Tensei Original". For now, however, "Ant Tensei Redux" shall be the only version being progressively developed and released. Please share your thoughts on this early version of my original novel, Ant Tensei. There were 14 chapters of Original released before the development of Redux began, the chapter 7.5 special not included. . . . Enjoy the work. ~White Overall Status: (Ongoing)
