Melo and the team had finished up their practice and he started walking towards me followed by two people. "Hey Melon". "Hey Alex" He kissed my forehead. "This is Miles and Pj"
"Nice to meet you" I shook hands with the both of you. "Melon my mom just texted me, I gotta go get Jay from school" I looked down and the message on my phone.
"Aight, Yall tryna come over later?". "Sure" Miles said and Pj nodded. "Aight come over at around 4" We left but this time Melo Drove. "I'm going with you so what school he go to?". "West Charlotte Highschool"
He nodded and we drove to the school. When we pulled up I saw Jaylen standing by the doors to the school talking to a girl who looked familiar. Hella students started to crowd around Melos Urus and I could tell he was getting agitated.
His car had just been washed and now it and fingerprints all ovet it. He rolled down his window. "Can yall back up from my car please I just got it washed and if you don't you paying for it"
Kids started backing up and I saw Jaylen look over. He waved the girl goodbye and walked over. "Aye Man he said back up from the car" On dude said to Jaylen. "I heard"
"He really think rules don't apply to him huh" This bitch said smacking her on her gum. "Cuz this one don't, Wassup Melo, Sis" He and Melo did their handshake through the window and he nodded at me.
"YOU KNOW LAMELO BALL" people stay being fake nowadays. "Nah we've never met before" Jay rolled his eyes and got in the back seat. Melo pulled of and we got on the road.
"JAYLEN AMARI MCQUEEN" I heard my mom yell from my room. "Oh shit" I was currently on facetime with Tiara. "What that nigga do now" I looked back at the phone where Crown was now shown.

Let me show you the reason my mom just called my name.
"Dude thats not a good idea" I was. Currently at school and Jaiden was tying to get me to skip class. "Bro- Jaylen stop being a pussy and come on"
"I said no I'm not tyrna get grounded" Nick nodded his head like he was thinking about something. "I'm finna tell my mama you said some shit and she gone call Aunt Kiesha"
"You know what- Ion care bye" I left them standing there and went to class. I walked in and the whole ckass turned to look at me. "Mr. McQueen you're late". "Sorry my locker got stuck"
I scratched the back of my neck and went to my assigned seat next to Jada. "I know your locker wasn't stick what happened" Jada whispered not wanting to get caught.
"Nick and Jaiden tried to make me skip class with them" she nodded her head slowly
I went downto the living room where my mom was and saw her laying on the couch with the house phone to her ear. "Take a seat" I sat down on thw chair opposite from her and she began talking.
"Why you aunt call and tell me that you told Nick to Kill himself and that no one will ever love him" she asked me in a serious voice. "Ion even talk to him like that no more Ma and did he tell her what he tried to make me do in school?"
She raised her eyebrow and spoke to the phone. "No he didn't". "Him and Jaiden tried to make me skip class and when I said no he threatened me" At this point I was pissed off.

"You know what I'm going downstairs" I walked out the living room ignoring My mom and Aunt argue over the phone. I went down stairs to My sisters room and laid across her bed.
"Hey I'll call you back" I heard some 'byes' and 'okays' before she spoke to me. "What up Jay" I let out a long sigh before turning to her. "That nigga Nick, He just tried to get my ass beat"
She raised an eyebrow and looked down at me. "Nick? But y'all don't talk like that no more" I nodded my head slowly. "yeah he told Aunt Sandra I said he should kill himself and shit"
"Damn.." She looked disappointed and suprised. "but it's whatever cuz he about to get his ass whooped". We both laughed at the though of Nick getting beat until Zandra's phone rang.
Because her phone was next to me I looked at the caller Id and answered it.

Lady of Beasts
Magic has vanished from the modern world, relegated to 'biased accounts' and fairy tales. It has no place in the world of heroes and science. Or so the modern people thought. They would be proven wrong, as one of the eldest lineages of the magical world is revived, to once more aim for dominion over the world of magic and man. Update: 19.4.2021: Revised paragraph formatting to ease the reading experience. Feedback is appreciated! Update: 16.07.2021: The last chapter is written!
