《Mama Nootmare (A fanfic with the bad sanses)》Chapter 4 - Dust

Nightmare's POV:
It'd been about three weeks since I brought Killer here. And there hadn't been a dull moment since.
I woke up to Killer entering my room. It was the middle of the night. Killer seemed pretty scared about something.
"Everything okay?" I asked. He shook his head. "Well, what's wrong?." Killer just looked at the floor. I slowly got up. "I can't help If I don't know what's wrong." I crouched beside him.
"I-I had a nightmare..." He quietly said. My face dropped. That might have been my fault. If Horror had one too, than it was. My suspicions were confirmed when Horror came in crying.
"N-nightmare?" He said
"Have a bad dream too?" I asked. He nodded. I sighed. "I'm sorry you two. That was my fault. I was trying to give others nightmares and forgot about you."
The pair looked at each other. "Can we stay with you?" Killer asked. "Even if it won't happen again, we don't want to be alone tonight." I chuckled.
"I suppose I owe you that." I replied. I got back into bed and they climbed up beside me. I liked my schedule being a bit more unpredictable thanks to these two. Maybe there will be more. I made sure that I avoided them as I continued giving nightmares to others.
I woke up the next morning to find Horror nibbling one of my tentacles and Killer still beside me where he was last night. I got up and went to make them breakfast. Error wasn't here to today, so I couldn't ask him to watch them when I went to spread negativity. 'Maybe they could come along.' I thought 'Killer knows how to fight. Maybe he'd like to help me. Horror...he'll be fine.' Killer came running into the kitchen with a knife. I grabbed it from him as he ran by.
"Hey!" He shouted.
"You don't run with knives. You could stab yourself. You only stab others." I lectured. He stuck his tongue out at me and pouted. I handed it back to him. "Just no running with it out, okay?" He perked up and walked over to the table.

After I told them they were coming with me, they got really excited, especially when I told them there would be killing. I chose an easy au for them. One with people they could kill easily. I was mostly worried about Horror, as I hadn't seen him fight before.
"Alright, are you idiots ready to go?" I asked.
"Yeah!" Horror and Killer said together. I let them climb on two of my tentacles. I asked them one more time if they were ready, just to be sure. They both agreed happily.
~Time Skip~
Killer POV:
We'd killed almost everyone in the au. It was really fun. Nightmare didn't let us go on our own though. I had blood splatters and dust all over my shirt and jacket.
"Alright you two," Nightmare announced "Did you have fun?"
I nodded happily. Now I'm glad I met him! He kept his promise of giving me more things to kill! Horror was nodding too. His axe seemed duller now.
"Good. Now I know I can bring you both more often." I smiled as Nightmare said that. "Now there was one more au I wanted to check out. He continued. "It only has one person, and I want to know what's up." Nightmare lowered his lowest two tentacles and we climbed on again. I hopped over so I was standing next to Horror. We started chatting about our fun today in the au. Nightmare teleported all of us to the au.
Me and Horror hopped off his tentacles and continued talking.
"You two stay here. Do not wander." Nightmare ordered. Horror and I nodded and continued talking. I sat on the snow and Horror did the same.
As we were talking and messing around, staying where Nightmare said, a bone came flying right past my arm and right by Horror's face. I jumped up and looked in the direction it came. I summoned a knife in my hand and looked around defensively. I heard another bone attack coming and dodged. Horror squeaked as it barely missed him again. I heard a insane-sounding giggle. Horror came right up behind me. He was scared. 'Nightmare should be able to pick up on that and come.' I thought. A bone attack sliced past my left arm, cutting it, as I was thinking. I turned around and saw Horror staring at something. I looked where he was looking and saw another skeleton, leaning on a building. Like Horror, this one seemed to be our age too. His hood was up and he had a red scarf. His blue and red eye was glowing with a purple flame. He summoned a sharpened bone in his hand. He definitely looked insane.

"We can fight if you like." He said, his voice cold and icy. A small accent making its presence known. "I could use a little more LV." I gripped my knife tighter. If I felt one thing right now, it was that I wasn't going to let this guy hurt my friend...and that my arm was stinging a lot. He suddenly ran at me. I raised my knife in my hand. He raised the bone, ready to attack when he got to me. I branded for impact, closing my eyes...but it never came. I heard Horror gasp and opened my eyes. I saw the attacking skeleton up in the air, held by a goopy tentacle. I sighed in relief.
"Just what do you think you doing?" Nightmare's voice came from a little ways away. He walked over. "You must be Dust. You were the one I was looking for. Why were you attacking my kids?" He demanded. 'He considers us his kids already?' I thought. As if Nightmare heard me think that, he said "Uhm, I mean-these children." He backtracked. 'Dust' took his chance and escaped Nightmare's grasp when he backtracked. Luckily for us, he tried to attack Nightmare. He stabbed him, but Nightmare just picked him back up and pulled the bone out of his stomach. I giggled. Dust gave me a death glare.
"Look, I can give you a place to stay kid." Nightmare offered. Dust tilted his head, asking Nightmare to go on. "But. You can't hurt me or either of them." Nightmare warned, pointing to Horror and I. "You get free shelter and..I guess a little family."
Dust stared. He seemed to be calming down a bit. "Really?" He asked, his voice seemed softer than when he first spoke to me.
"And you get to kill more things!" I chimed in. "He let us go on a mission with him today and we took down a whole au!" Dust gave me a look. He seemed...jealous.
"I wanna kill things!" He shouted.
Nightmare stifled a laugh and looked at him. "Then come along. You can join us next...time." Nightmare focused on a spot past Dust for a second. I was confused. "Just...don't hurt those two." Nightmare suddenly continued.
"Okay!" Dust eagerly agreed, sounding much more...warm than when he first spoke to me. Nightmare grabbed me and Horror and teleported all of us home.
Dust seemed to have the same reaction as I did when I first arrived.
"You two show him around and his room. It should be right beside Killer's. I need to make dinner." Nightmare said. Horror grabbed Dust's hand and I ran ahead of both of them. I led them up to the hall with all the rooms. We went up to Dust's room and opened the door. He looked at the bland room.
"If you wanna decorate it, Nightmare will help!" Horror said. Dust seemed a bit upset.
"Why're you guys being so nice to me? I tried to kill you like, ten minutes ago." He asked
"Because Nightmare brought you here like he did us." I said. "Why not be friends if we're gonna live with you? You seem to be a good fighter as well. Like me~" I heard Horror giggling. "Hey!"
"I think he could beat you in a fight." Horror said through giggles.
I looked at Dust, who looked smug, and tired. We both started laughing too.
I think we all like it here.
