The Ninja dodge another attack from the serpent with 3 heads.

"I told you not to cut it's head!" Ari shouts at them

"Sorry!" the ninja shout

The ninja fight the serpent for what sees like hours before they come up with the plan to tie it like they did with the devourer. The ninja get various of the heads to follow them around until they were all tangled together.

The Hydra thrashes around trying to fix itself. The ceiling begins to cave in and the ninja doge pieces of rock before they take cover as the Hydra is crushed under the pieces. The ninja cough as the dust settles.

"Did we get em?" Cole asks

"Looks like it" Jay replies

Lloyd walks up to the Hydra's crown and prys the gem from it.

"Got it" Lloyd says proudly

The ninja cheer happily and Ari smiles.

"Well another down" Ari says

"Oh yeah, we're going to be in Ninjago in no time" Kai says happily

Ari suddently begins to fade and she looks down at herself.

"Ari!" the ninja shout

"What's happening?" Lloyd asks

"It appears she is going back to her time" Zane says

"But why?!" Jay shouts "we haven't gotten all the gems yet"

"I don't know.. unless something is happening in Ninjago that doesn't require me to be here anymore" Ari says and looks at Lloyd "Something's going to happen to me in this timeline.. you must get back to Ninjago.. quickly"

The ninja look at each other and nod.

"We will" Cole promises

Ari smiles before completely disappearing.

"Let's go Ninja" Lloyd says before running out

The ninja all quickly follow after him, and they begin their journey home.

"I haven't seen father in awhile" Aria says to her mother "or my knights"

"Oh I'm sure they're out controlling the city" Layla brushes her daughter's hair "have faith in your father"

"I know what dad use to do though, the shadowlands is stained in darkness.. from everything he did" Aria turns and looks at her mother "It's awful"

"What?" Layla looks confused "Your father has only done what is necessary to control the balance, and now we are even more balanced, where the dead can roam free and nobody has to be scared of trying anything anymore"

"...that's not balance" Aria mutters and turns around "enslaving people to work for him isn't balanced either.."

"Aria" Layla says concerned "are you alright?"

"yeah" Aria stands up "sorry mom, I got something to do"

"Alright" Layla smiles

Aria walks away and heads upstairs

"mom has no idea what dad's been doing after she died" Aria says to herself

Aria walks into her room and closes the door. She lays in bed and takes a deep breath before drifting off off to sleep. Aria awoke in the middle of the night, she smelled the scent of something burning, and it wasn't small.

Panicked Aria got out of bed and pulled back the curtains of her window, having a bad feeling. Her eyes widened seeing part of the city ablaze in fire, smoke rising in the air. Aria turns and runs to her door, she opens the door and stops when she sees her father.

"Dad" Aria says surprised "you're back"

"What are you doing awake dear?" Overlord asks

"I.. I.." Aria looks outside and back at her dad "the city, it's on fire"

"I know" Overlord smiles "I did that"

"W-why?" Aria asks confused

"Just a little control tactic darling" Overlord says walking into her room "you saw the fights breaking out, we must protect our people from the ordinary citizens. Like you've always done, striking fear into your enemies"

"...right" Aria looks down "Like I've always done"

Overlord closes her curtains "go back to sleep dear, the knights will clean up the mess"

"Yes father" Aria smiles

"Goodnight dear" Overlord kisses her forehead before walking out and shutting her door

Aria's smile disappears and once again opens her curtains looking out.

"What's wrong with me?" Aria sits at the window

A dagger is stabbed at the manor.

"That's where we strike, we bring down the guards and surround the place"

"But what if we're not strong enough?"

"The ninja are gone, we're the only ones left, we must take back the city"

"Right"

"Great so we all agree" Ronin picks up the dagger "We attack at noon"
