"Come on, Hades! We're gonna be late!" His wife called out to him.
"Coming, sweetness! Just gotta fix this tie." Hades said, fumbling with the knot.
Persephone strode into their bedroom, wearing her burgundy sweater dress with her wavy hair flowing just below her chest. She wore earrings with diamonds in the center of a rose gold colored rose with a beautiful, yet simple necklace to pull it all together.
"You are breathtaking, darling." Hades said as he walked over to her, "No way we're losing the contest when you're the competition." He grinned.
"Oh please, Hera and Amphitrite are beaut-"
"-have no chance against you, my love. My sweet." He said, picking her up by the waist and placing a kiss to her forehead, cheek, then meeting her lips.
Persephone giggled and jumped out of his arms. "Yeah, yeah, I'm beautiful and whatever," she said sarcastically, "but we gotta go, darling!"
"Alright, I'm coming!"
Hades walked out of the room with his wife, wearing a crisp white button up collared shirt with black dress pants and a simple coat. He wasn't too dressed up, just about enough to match with his wife. He decided on leaving the tie behind though, he didn't want to be too formal. Especially tonight.
Ah yes, that night. His brothers had a yearly competition between their wives, trying to prove who was the best couple. Hades never really got to participate, so he didn't care for them. But this year was different. He had Persephone, the love and light of his life. His flower, his partner, his best friend. His wife.
He could finally compete this year, and he was determined that he and Persephone would win, and so was Persephone.
Persephone seemed very excited to participate with him, she seemed pretty confident that they would win.
They stepped into Hades's sleek, black Mercedes and drove off to Olympus.
