This is a fairy tale old like any other. It is about a girl and a boy, only a small detail has changed...

Adrien sat in his room, wondering from his window to his bed to the tv, but nothing entertained him. His cat yowled as it climbed in his window and Adrien felt envious. The cat could come and go as he pleased, but he was stuck in his room.

Marinette was the baker's daughter and was happy as she was. She would go out on her daily deliveries on her dear friend's horse, accompanied by her cat Tikki.

One day Marinette noticed that the black cat that would always disappear into the woods around noon and decided to follow it. That day, she felt as though her life had changed as she swore she saw the image of in angel locked away in a tower.

Soon her days were no longer simple and her affinity for the angel boy grew. She didn't know his name, but she wanted to. She longed to know him and for him to know her. Sometimes she would be lucky and hear him sing to himself. One day she gained the courage to sing along with him.

One day while Adrien was singing the song his mother use to sing to him, her heard a voice. The voice of a girl and it was so beautiful it stopped him mid lyric. It wasn't until her called out that he heard the crunching of leaves and a muffled command. From that day on he was more determined than ever to escape his tower.

Adrien had had enough. One day he jumped up and ran to his closet. He made a chain out of his shirts, pulling one through the neck and sleeve of another and then through its own sleeve. He repeated this until he ran out of shirts and decided to take his chances.

Once he was out the window there was no going back, no way his father would forgive him. When his feet hit the ground, he felt guilt and freedom.

He waited at the bottom of his tower for the girl who visited him. Today he would talk to her and see her.

When Mari walked into her normal hiding place by the tower, she was hugged by the very angel she had come to admire.

Now the story is much longer and involves 3 small children, a baker's daughter and an angel.
