Narrator's POV
It didn't take long for the Order of the Phoenix to realize they had been given a false lead.
And when they returned to Potter Manor only to find Harry, Luna, Neville, and Hermione had escaped and Ginny and Ron had been taken too, they quickly realized what really happened.
Severus Snape lied, swearing that he did not know that the Dark Lord had given him a false lead and he had probably lost what little trust he had —still lying— and needed time to regain it.
And all the while Sirius and Remus stood in the background smirking that Harry was now safe with his soulmate.
Six out of eight Weasleys —which were Bill, Charlie, Percy, the twins, and Fleur— were happy with the escape of the four children and the kidnappings of Ron and Ginny.
***
Harry healed within hours, so when he awoke he was completely fine.
Harry already loved his new home, Riddle Manor, he could do whatever he liked: whether it be going into the gardens or the library, he could do whatever he wished.
And his soulmate was handsome beyond all reason to say it simply.
Tom was tall; he was pale, but he had seen sun recently; his hair was wavy and brown; and he had Crucio red eyes.
Harry already knew he loved Tom, but seeing him helped too; I'm mean Merlin damn he is hot.
But today they had plans, today they were going to meet Neville, Luna, and Hermione at Gringotts.
***
Once the group of ten —which included: Neville, Bellatrix, Rodolphus and Rabastan LeStrange; Barty Crouch Jr; Hermione Franqui; Luna and Xenophilius Lovegood; Harry Potter; and Tom Riddle— entered Gringotts.
The group was greeted by Griphook —who happened to be in charge of the Potter family vaults.
They were led into said goblin's office and Hermione pricked her finger first and let it drop onto the paper Griphook had laid out.
"Repeat after me, Lady Franqui," Griphook said "I, Hermione Charlotte Franqui, accept my inheritances and my soulmate."
"I, Hermione Charlotte Franqui, accept my inheritances and my soulmate." Hermione repeated
The paper shone and the words and blood splat disappeared and words appeared in its place.
"You're next, Miss Lovegood." Griphook said and Luna pricked her finger

"Repeat after me, Miss Lovegood," Griphook said "I, Luna Elizabeth Lovegood, accept my inheritances and my soulmate."
"I, Luna Elizabeth Lovegood, accept my inheritances and my soulmate." Luna repeated
The paper shone and the words and blood splat disappeared and words appeared in its place.
"You're next, Mister LeStrange." Griphook said and Neville pricked his finger
"Repeat after me, Mister LeStrange," Griphook said "I, Neville Rodolphus LeStrange, accept my inheritances and my soulmate."
"I, Neville Rodolphus LeStrange, accept my inheritances and my soulmate." Neville repeated
The paper shone and the words and blood splat disappeared and words appeared in its place.
"You're next, Mister Potter." Griphook said and Harry pricked his finger
"Repeat after me, Mister Potter," Griphook said "I, Harry James Potter, accept my inheritances and my soulmate."
"I, Harry James Potter, accept my inheritances and my soulmate." Harry repeated, smirking at Tom
The paper shone and the words and blood splat disappeared and words appeared in its place.
"I have three siblings I never even heard of." Harry mumbled, amazed
"And you're part of a prophecy." Luna added
"How can I find out what this prophecy says?" Harry asked Griphook
"You would have to go to the Department of Mysteries." Griphook answered
"I'd like to get a name change in the mean time then." Harry said, staring at the paper
"What would you like to change your name to?" Griphook asked
"Hadrian Jacynth Preverell." Hadrian answered looking at his Preverell heirship
Hadrian knew choosing Gryffindor as a last name would gather unwanted attention and he no longer wished to be a Potter, so Preverell was the best option; until his last name was Riddle of course.
***
The group decided to separate for awhile to not overcrowd shops, so Tom led Hadrian to a small shop by the end of the street.
The door had gold letters on it that read "Ollivander's: Makers of Fine Wands since 382 BC." a single wand lay on a faded purple cushion in the window.
A ringing bell rang somewhere in the shop as they stepped inside.
"Good afternoon." said an old man sitting at a counter, putting a wand into a box
"Hello." Hadrian greeted
"I've been expecting you, Mr. Potter or is it Preverell nowadays?" Mr. Ollivander asked, then his eyes moved to Tom "Ah, Mr. Riddle, I remember your wand: thirteen and a half inches, yew, and Phoenix feather; a powerful wand, very powerful, one of the most powerful I've ever made."
"Well, now Mr. Preverell. Let me see." He pulled a long tape measure with silver markings out of his pocket as he approached the pair "Which is your wand arm?"

"I'm right-handed." Hadrian answered
"Hold out your arm. That's it." He measured Hadrian from shoulder to finger, then wrist to elbow, shoulder to floor, knee to armpit and round his head.
As he measured, he said, "Every Ollivander wand has a core of a powerful magical substance, Mr. Preverell. We use unicorn hairs, phoenix tail feathers and the heartstrings of dragons. No two Ollivander wands are the same, just as no two unicorns, dragons or phoenixes are quite the same. And of course, you will never get such good results with another wizard's wand."
Mr. Ollivander was flitting around the shelves, taking down boxes.
'That will do." He said, and the tape measure crumpled into a heap on the floor "Right then, Mr. Preverell, try this one: beechwood and dragon heartstring. Nine inches. Nice and flexible. Just take it and give it a wave."
Hadrian took the wand and waved it around, but Mr. Ollivander snatched it out of his hand almost at once.
"Maple and phoenix feather. Seven inches. Quite whippy. Try it out." Mr. Ollivander said
Hadrian tried – but he had hardly raised the wand when it, too, was snatched back by Mr. Ollivander.
"No, no – here, holly and unicorn hair, eight and a half inches, springy. Go on, go on, try it out."
Hadrian tried waving it to no success.
The pile of tried wands was growing higher on the chair, but the more wands Mr. Ollivander pulled from the shelves, the happier he seemed to become.
"Tricky customer, eh? Not to worry, we'll find the perfect match here somewhere – I wonder, now – yes, why not – unusual combination – ebony and phoenix feather, eleven inches, semi-flexible, very regal." Mr. Ollivander muttered, handing Hadrian another wand
Hadrian took the wand and raised the wand above his head, waved it slightly and purple and silver sparks shot from the end.
"Oh, bravo! Yes, indeed, oh, very good. Well, well, well, who would have guessed?" Mr. Ollivander exclaimed, muttering at the end
"Guessed what?" Hadrian asked
"The Phoenix who gave the feather gave exactly two feathers that day. One in your wand," Mr. Ollivander said, looking at Hadrian"and one in his." then looking at Tom
"Well, I'll be damned." Tom muttered
***
After they payed for Hadrian's wand, they left the store and the pair walked around for a bit, browsing around the shops: including Quality Qudditch Supplies, even though Tom swore that Qudditch was a waste of time even though Hadrian enjoyed the sport.
After some time, they passed a shop called "Madam Malkin's Robes for All Occasions."
"Should we get me some clothing?" Hadrian asked, looking at the shop
"No, it's a shop for the commoners, Narcissa and Bellatrix will take you clothes shopping later at Twilfitt and Tattings, love, for you deserve the finest luxury. Let's go." Tom answered
Next door to the 'commoners robe shop' there was a shop called "Eeylops Owl Emporium."
Upon seeing Hadrian's interest, Tom grabbed his hand and led him inside.
The inside of the shop was dark and owl cages full of owls were everywhere.
Hadrian browsed around at the many owls, but none caught his interest.
All of them were boring shades of brown, he wanted one that was exciting and different; kind of like him.
Suddenly, he saw what he wanted: a snowy owl with sleek feathers and bright auburn eyes.
"Oh yes, she's a beauty. She's fifteen galleons if you want her." The shopkeeper said, entering the main showroom from the back
"We'll take her then." Tom said, taking the correct amount of money from his coin pouch
"She's yours, what will you name her?" The shopkeeper asked, taking the money from Tom
"Hedwig." Hadrian decided, liking the way it sounded
***
After leaving the owl emporium —leaving Hedwig and her cage there to retrieve later, Tom and Hadrian entered the darker section of Diagon Alley: Knockturn Alley.
Tom held Hadrian's hand as they ventured down the street, passing people trying to sell a assortment of dark objects and antiquities.
When Tom stopped —Hadrian almost crashing into him— when they were in front of a shop called "Borgin and Burkes."
When they entered the both musty and dusty shop, a bell jingled and the shopkeeper entered the showroom.
When the shopkeeper saw on Tom, his eyes widened in fear and sweat glistened his face.
"You have something of mine I would like back." Tom said, his tone commanding and firm
"Y-yes, my l-l-lord, it's in the-the back, I-I'll g-go fetch it." The shopkeeper said, returning to the back room
The shopkeeper returned several minutes later holding a book, "H-here it is, m-my lord."
Tom tucked the book into a pocket inside his suit jacket, "Since it is undamaged, you will live another day." Tom muttered
"Y-you are m-most m-merciful, m-my lord." The shopkeeper thanked, his clothing covered in sweat
***
After leaving Borgin and Burkes, the couple made their way back into Diagon Alley and to the Leaky Caldron to eat lunch.
After they sat at a table to wait for their group, they started talking privately.
"That shopkeeper looked liked he pissed himself when he saw you." Hadrian whispered, chuckling at the end
Tom chuckled a bit before adding "That he did."
"What did he give you anyways?" Hadrian asked his soulmate
"I'll tell you in a less public place, love, it would be hazardous if our enemies knew." Tom answered, kissing Hadrian's hand
"Ok." Hadrian replied, understanding
As their conversation concluded, the Death Eaters and their kids entered the Leaky Caldron...
