《Legendary (Discontinued for now)》Chapter 17: The Internship (IV)

The moment Izuku entered the building, he received a fist to the stomach from Torino.
"Huff! He fell to his knees and clutched his stomach.
"What was that for?!" He exclaimed with a voice crack.
"A hero must always expect the unexpected, even from places he thinks are safe... Now, get up!" Torino commanded as he began setting up a timer.
"I'll give you three minutes to strike me, and if you're not able to hit me by then...you'll have run for 20km under the sun... With me on your back"
Izuku quickly picked himself up and activated 'Full cowl' a.k.a 20SP in every section of his body. The moment Torino noticed the soft glow emanating from Izuku's body, he activated his quirk and began bouncing from wall to wall. In a matter of milliseconds, Torino began punching and kicking Izuku from every angle possible.
"Gah! Ough! Agh!" Izuku yelped. He was hit nearly every ten seconds or so by Torino.
'Damn it! He's too unpredictable, unlike Nomu' He thought. 'If I use Super Time now, I'll be as useless as that German robot on the roof'
"Pathetic... If you cannot even dodge this, how will you be able to save those who need to be saved?" Torino taunted as he continued with his attacks.
"Luck will not be on your side every time"
'He's right...' Izuku thought. 'I need to be able to see him first' That exact moment, Izuku noticed some furniture.
'That's it!' Izuku directed 40SP to both of his legs after which he dashed to, and slid under the couch, although, his arms stuck out.
"Don't be stupid! You cannot buy time like that...I can still see you." Upon hearing this, Izuku quickly retracted his hands so that they were no longer visible. Torino then launched himself towards the couch only for it to get flung towards him. The flying couch hit Torino hard enough to stun him. Torino now understood what Izuku was trying to do.
"You wanted to stop me from moving, huh?"
He grinned.
"Well, you got me...-"
Microseconds later, Izuku activated flight and hurled himself at his teacher. Izuku then prepared an Impact to strike Torino, who only grinned.
"-... Almost" Torino said as he dodged Izuku's fist. He then propelled himself to the wall behind Izuku to try and flank him. Izuku, however, expected this to happen and used his flight to launch himself to the ceiling, surprising his teacher, who then looked at the ceiling. Torino also noticed Izuku's glowing arm.
"Impact!" Izuku shouted as he launched his fist and himself towards his teacher. Torino, however, turned into a blur and disappeared.
'W-Wha-- He can dodge that?!' Izuku noticed the blur in his peripheral vision. Izuku turned his head and saw that the blur was heading towards him. With no way to counter this, Izuku panicked and activated Super time. This allowed him to see that this time, instead of getting punched, his going to get kicked.

'Well... Here I am... again. This is gonna hurt." Izuku spoke in his mind. Four seconds later (forty for Izuku) he received a kick from Torino. The kick was strong enough to smack Izuku against the wall behind him, making him release a big ooof, after which he slid down to the floor. Torino then landed in front of him.
(A/n holy hell, that scene alone was 450 words)
"My reflexes are garbage...I really need to focus on improving it." Izuku huffed as he got up.
"Then how were you able to dodge my attack that time?" His teacher asked.
"I analysed the movement pattern of your attacks. Yesterday, you moved front to back and flanked me from behind. And since you were stationary today, I decided to go up the moment you disappeared from my sights as I knew that you'll attack me from behind. That was also the reason why I wasn't able to evade your final attack...because I didn't know from which side you were going to come at me." Izuku explained in a defeated tone.
Gran Torino however, was very impressed with Izuku's analytical skills.
'This kid will outclass his peers and even many pros faster than even he can imagine. I'm so proud!' Torino jumped in his thoughts with sparks in his eyes.
"You may not have the fastest reflexes, yet, but your analytical skills are very good. Even All Might was not able to figure out my flanking move this fast." Torino complemented, brightening up Izuku.
"Thank you, Sensei!" Izuku exclaimed while doing the Saikeirei bow.
"Now! Let's have some Taiyaki breakfast. We have a town to patrol"
And so both of them began their breakfast. After which, Izuku changed to his hero costume. As they exited the building, Izuku's phone vibrated. He checked his phone and saw that it was about to die. Izuku realized he hadn't charged his phone in three days.
"Aaaaand I'm an idiot"
"What's the matter?" Torino asked
"I forgot to charge my phone... It's now at 3.6%"
"Eeeeehhh... 3.6, not great, not terrible. Let's go." Torino nonchalantly commented.
"B-Bu- Whatever... I guess I'll charge it up when we come back" Izuku remarked as they began their patrol of the town.
Momo and Itsuka were standing silently in front of the door of Titan's office room.
"Nervous?" Itsuka asked.
"Yeah..." Momo answered.
"Here goes nothing" She knocked on the door.
"Come in" A feminine voice responded from within.
The girls opened the door and saw Titan in her hero costume looking at three floating photo frames. Itsuka and Momo weren't able to see what the photos were as the photos were facing away from them.
Titan then made a gesture with her hand and the photo frames floated to the table and faced down.
(btw these were the photos she was looking at... and again...art not mine

(Izuku's 4th birthday. Pls pretend that All Might is buff since this happened before his 'car accident')
"So... Are you ready to begin your training?" Titan asked as she began walking towards them.
"Yes, ma'am!" The girls replied with enthusiasm.
"I like your enthusiasm... But before we start, let me give both of you a pro tip... I know hero work is very important... But you must never neglect your family or else you will regret it a lot." She said with a small smile, hoping that the girls wouldn't notice the sadness she's masking using that smile. And she was almost successful...almost.
Momo, who'd been taught to decipher body language and facial expressions from a young age, noticed the sadness hidden Titan's smile.
'Is she...sad for some reason?' Momo thought. Momo quickly snapped out of her train of thought when Titan began speaking.
"Let's go outside... We'll begin straightaway with what a hero's duties are; and trust me, it's not only about saving lives and defeating the bad guys. You can keep your phones on the table if you don't want any distractions. Now, Follow me" Titan announced. Momo and Itsuka left their phones on the table and followed Titan outside where she informed the girls what they would do today.
"You girls did really well today!" Titan commented as the trio entered her office room.
"Thank you, Ma'am!" Momo and Itsuka exclaimed in unison.
"Seriously, both of you did a terrific job today. You handled yourselves well against the Faux thugs I hired. Moreover, you helped many people with small things without me saying anything. I know that both of you will become great Heroines in the future." She said.
"Anyway, it's 4 PM now. I want you two to get refreshed. Also, go to the cafeteria and get some food for yourselves. Meet me here after two hours and I'll teach you about strategies that are useful to defeat certain types of villains."
Titan stated. After which the two students left. The moment the door closed, Titan heard a ringtone behind her. She turned around and saw that her students forgot to take their phones. Titan activated her quirk and made the phones float towards her and brought the ringing phone, which she noticed was Momo's, close to her face.
Titan's heart nearly exploded the moment she saw the name of the caller, the display picture that popped up and how the name was saved in the phone.
The contact was saved as '❤️❤Izu❤❤' and the display picture was that of them drinking milkshake from the same glass using two straws.
'I-Izuku's g-got a g-g-g-girl-' Before she was able to complete that sentence, the door opened revealing her students.
"Excuse me, ma'am" Itsuka spoke.
"We forgot to take our phones"
"Oh...yeah. Here you go" Titan gestured her hand and the phones moved towards them.
"Oh, and Yaoyorozu... I think your boyfriend is calling you." The moment those words came out of Titan's mouth, Momo's face turned into a literal Tomato.
"T-T-This i-i-is s-s-so embarrassing!" Momo exclaimed as she covered her face.
"Haha... anyway you should pick up the phone... I'm gonna go and make some coffee" Titan laughed as she went to another section of her office room.
Momo turned towards Itsuka and saw that she was given her a sly smile.
"Go on... pick it up" She teased.
"Lets... leave this room first" Momo replied.
As soon as she left the room, she received the call.
Izuku- Hello? Momo?
Momo- Well, you couldn't have chosen a worse time to call me if you tried.
Izuku- Oh no! Did I interrupt anything?!
Momo- Nope, but now Titan knows that you are my boyfriend.
Izuku- W-WHAT?!!
Momo- Yup...
Izuku- H-HOW?!
Momo- Well... I forgot to take my phone from her table. That's when you called. Although Titan looked cool about it.
Izuku- I wonder why... Anyway, how was your first day?
Momo- Pretty good actually. Myself and Kendo learned a lot of things today. What about you.
Izuku- I learned a lot too. Although he is very strict and unforgiving, he's one of the best teachers that I've had the privilege of learning from. We will actually go on a night patrol after a few hours.
Momo- Really? Then please be careful.
Izuku- I will be careful... Don't worry.
Momo- I guess I'll have to say goodnight now. So yeah, goodnight and good luck. Please call me or at least text me tomorrow.
Izuku- Yeah... Goodnight. Don't worry...I'll text you tomorrow.
Momo- Bye.
With that, she hung up.
Izuku checked the time and saw that he had two hours left before they had to depart for their night patrol.
'I guess I could get some sleep'
Atlas Prime and Gran Torino were talking about random things on the way to their destination; which was a town located around 20km past Hosu city. Their conversation was interrupted by the announcer.
Atlas immediately took his phone out the moment he heard 'Hosu'. He opened his messaging app and tapped on Iida's name, which showed that he was last active 32 hours ago.
"Kids nowadays... Always glued to their phones. Back in my days... Well, we too had smartphones, but we weren't addicted to them." Torino commented.
Izuku, hearing this, quickly put his phone back in his pocket.
"Sorry... It's just I'm really worried about my friend. He's been through a lot lately. I'm afraid that he's going to do something stupid" The moment Atlas finished his sentence, something crashed into the train, making a hole in it. Atlas and Torino turned their heads and saw a downed hero... With someone's leg on his chest, but they weren't able to see who the person was as their face was obstructed by a metal plate sticking out of the hull of the train. That 'Someone' then proceeded to bend the plate... Revealing itself.
Atlas immediately recognized those lifeless eyes and exposed brain.
"NOMU!"
