I knew that I had sensed something earlier but I thought that was my mind playing tricks on me as I was running on five hours of sleep. The pups had us up last night with their sudden burst of energy and we had to keep them inside the house as it was pouring outside. I told Aurora to just let them run outside for a bit to wear them off but she didn't want them to get sick with the rain.

But now, I was here trying to figure out what our precious daughter saw. It could have been something out there, or it could have been something out of her imagination. Still, there was a weird scent that I picked up earlier but I pushed it to the side as it could have been a scent that got dragged here by the wind.

As I walked cautiously to the bush, I saw that the grass on the area was down as if someone had stepped on it.

It seems as if it was not a product of Thara's imagination and there might have been something in there watching us and watching our pups. The anger inside of me was bubbling up in my throat as I suppressed back the urge to let out a growl of warning.

I followed down the trail only to end up by the path to our pack grounds. My mind was racing everywhere as I tried to figure out what or who might have been watching my family. Who was out there? was it a new enemy? Someone that wanted to hurt us? young pups from my pack innocently trying to spy on us?

"Alpha" I hear someone call from behind me.

I turn to Travis, my new beta.

He reassured me as he put his hands on my shoulder and squeezed. I thanked him before I started to make my back to my home.

As I get closer to the front doors, I hear the chaos that was going on inside. Again it seemed like Thara and Bjorn wanted to skip bath time and they were running all over the house trying to get away from Aurora and Thaddeus. Taking a deep breath, I open the door and I let my energy do the talking. The two pups immediately stop running and they sit.

"Thara...Bjorn....go and take your bath...now"

They both looked at each other before walking over to Aurora. She smiled softly before grabbing them both so that they could take a bath. Thaddeus sensed my change as he approached me after Aurora and the pups left to go upstairs.

"There was something...or someone out there. Thaddeus...I swear, if anyone gets close to our family and tried to hurt them I will turn into the senseless killer that I was before." Thaddeus places his hand on my shoulder. "I would have you inject me with the virus if it means that I will make myself stronger to fight alongside you for our family, brother."

I turn to him and nod in agreement and understanding. Thaddeus was serious about getting injected with the virus. Aurora and I tried to talk him out of it but he wants it, one way or the other. There seemed like there was no convincing him of backing out of it and I wasn't going to. Thaddeus was a strong Alpha, disciplined and with his heart in the right place, if there was someone that could handle the original virus that my father and injected into me, it was him.

UNKNOWN POV

The dark figure watched the pups from the distance as they played joyfully around the garden. The figure lurked over the shadows careful to not get caught. The scent blocker that the witch gave the figure was working fine as it managed to get close enough to reach the home of the Alphas and not be seen.

The bounty on each of the pup's heads was enough to disappear and start a new life somewhere new.

Everything seemed to be going fine until the girl pup noticed the figure and he had to step back quickly in order to not get caught.

As the shadows of the darkness covered the figure, protecting it from being discovered.

The figure waited patiently as the guards showed up and they did their rounds around the house. The figure skillfully jumps around the trees until it lands on the balcony on the second floor, smoothly without making any noise. The figure moved to the side of the balcony, away from the huge glass doors trying to blend into the dark.

Focusing on the hearing, the figure noticed that there was no movement from behind the doors on the inside as the figure opened the doors slowly. Setting foot inside the warm house, the person took careful steps on the warm fluffy rug.

As the figure looks around the home. It takes notice of the family photos that decorated the walls of the home. There were photos of the smiling pups and joyful photos of the Alphas with their mate as they embraced happily.

"Ugh" The figure spat out in disgust as it began to carefully descend up to the stairs to the floor above. The now black and shiny gun is on its hand now, ready to kill the targets that will be making it a lot richer.

The figure looked up and noticed the two black double doors, it turned away from them and went to the white door next to it. As the figure opened the door to the room, it noticed the two small cribs with the two pups sleeping peacefully. In the white table that sat in between the cribs, there was a small baby monitor with a small green light glowing in the dark, signaling that the baby monitor was on. The figure walked over to it and carefully switch it off, the green light went off and the figure put the baby monitor back on the table. The figure turns to the crib where the baby boy slept and took out his gun, raised the gun towards the baby boy and his finger was ready to pull the trigger when his arm was pulled back by a strong force.

The figure turns to find the baby girl who somehow climbed the crib and jumped the arm of the figure. Her small little brows were furrowed giving her an angry expression. It was then when the baby boy woke and he screamed when he saw the figure.

The little girl that was still clinging to him screamed loud to make the figure panic right on the spot as the figure was looking around trying to find a quick escape but there was none. As footsteps could be heard from the room, the figure had only one small chance of escaping.

The figure grabbed the little girl and he held on to his arms. When the door to the pup's room opened and the lights turned on, the Alphas and Luna froze on the spot when they saw that their beautiful baby girl was being held against her will, with a black gun pointing at the girls head.

"Thara!" The Luna screamed as she saw her pup being held captive. Thara fussed and moved around when she heard her mother call out for her.

"Mama" The baby called out for her mother and the Luna sobbed as she grabs her hair with her hands in frustration.

"It's okay baby, it's okay, just don't move okay baby." The Luna says as tears run down her eyes. Her eyes were dark red, an unusual color.

"If you don't let me out, I will put a bullet in her tiny little brain." The man threatens as he presses the gun harder on Tharas temple. The temperature in the room dropped and the tension was so thick that it could be cut straight through with a butter knife.

"If you hurt her, I swear we will kill everything that you love " The tattooed Alpha spoke up with much venom in his voice as his chest rose up and down fast.

The other Alpha just stood there shaking and breathing hard, not saying a word but saying everything that he needed to say with his dark and yellow eyes. "And we mean everything" The Alpha that was not tattoed spoke up in a feral voice.

The man chuckled before taking a step forward with Thara in his arms.

"Move out of the way." The man commanded with an authoritative voice just like the Alphas.

The Alphas stood there without saying a word until the Luna spoke up.

'"If we let you out, will you give me back my baby?" The Luna pleaded desperately.

The figure nodded before the Alphas look at each other, they slowly move out of the way and the man starts to walk in between them.

"Mama!" Thara was now crying when the man walked past the Luna. Thara reached out for the Luna but the man pulled her back. This made Luna growl as she cried for her daughter.

"Who are you and what do you want with our pups?' The tattooed Alpha growled out.

The man chuckled once again. "It's not what I want with your pups, it's 'What' do they want with your pups."

"Who are they and what do they want with my pups then? why do they want to kill them?' The Luna asked.

The man laughed, a sinister and evil laugh.

It seemed like the Alphas had let everyone know that there was an intruder in the house as the guards were everywhere in the house and they all had their eyes on the man and Thara as they made their way down the stairs. As they were approaching the front doors to go outside, they were met with even more guards as well as the special werewolf ops that they called the Elite who was ready to tear him apart the moment that he put Thara down.

The air was crisp but you couldn't feel as everyone had their eyes trained on the man that was holding the young pup hostage. It was silent as no one wanted to make the wrong move or cause any anger towards the man as they didn't know how he was going to react. They were not going to risk the life of the young girl pup.

They made it all the way until the front gates of the pack that lead to the main road to the city. Right at the entrance, there were two black cars and a motorcycle that didn't belong to the Alphas but the mystery man.

"Stand back!" The man spoke loudly making everyone freeze in the spot, Thara still kept on fuzzing in his arms before she manages to lift up the man's tight black sleeve revealing a defined tattoo on his forearm before she bites him as hard as she can.

The man screams before grabbing Thara by the back of her little onesie pajamas and he lifts her up above his head. The man turns to the werewolves with her high in the air, her small legs dangling. The Alphas froze and the Luna screamed. "Don't fucking hurt her you piece of fucking shit!"

And that's when the unexpected happened.

The man began to glow in blue. A bright outline could be seen around him. Everyone stood back, even the men that were waiting for him on the other side of the gates. Their guns were drawn out too as they watched, stunned with what was going on.

"Caine, Thaddeus...what is happening?"
