This story was originally written for the 2021 Open Novella Contest. It was shortlisted and one of the honourable mentions :)

I had a lot of fun with this story, but because of the contest's word limit, I didn't get a chance to explore Melody and Cole's story as much as I would've liked to. So, this is an expanded and edited version of the original (and a better version in my humble opinion lol).
