i heard my name so i got up and followed the nurse into the back room .

"before we start i need you to answer a few questions while i check your weight and stuff" she spoke and i nodded .

"okay , do you know how many months you are?"

"no but i know the exact day i got pregnant"

"really ? most moms don't but that's great , when was it?"

"june 24th"

"okay, do you get any morning sickness or?"

"i used too but it kind of went away now"

"back pains?"

"yes"

"okay come with me , we're gonna do a ultrasound" she spoke and i nodded following her .

she walked me into this dark room then i laid down on the hospital bed and rolled my shirt up .

"according to the date you gave me you're 6 months and your due date will be february 15th"

"damn next year?" i asked

"yea but the time is gonna fly by trust me"

she put the gel on my stomach then started rolling the monitor around.

she was like digging into my belly with that thing but eventually we heard a strong heartbeat throughout the room causing me to smile .

"do you want to know the gender?" she asked looking at me .

"no i want to wait" i spoke .

"okay look away then and i'm gonna put it in this envelope" she spoke .

i turned my head away as she printed the ultrasound pictures out .

she wiped my stomach off and i got up then she handed me the envelope.

"if i change my mind can i come back here for a abortion?" i asked her.

"so since you're 6 months now abortion is no longer a option"

"really ?"

"yea, no doctor will do a abortion after 6 months"

i made a 😬 face then left there .

"i guess i'm stuck with you" i spoke rubbing my belly .

i looked down at the envelope then tapped on my steering wheel.

i'm gonna go over to marqs so we can find out the gender together.

after driving for a few minutes i arrived at marqs house , i then knocked on the door and stepped back.

after a while of ignoring him he eventually stopped calling.

the door opened and when i saw it was a woman on the other side

my smile dropped

"umm who are you" she asked mugging me.

"i'm saige , is marq here" i asked looking over her shoulder .

"yes , what do you need with marq?"

"mind your business" i spoke as i pushed past her and walked into his house .

marq came from out the bathroom and froze when he saw me and the lady standing waiting for him .

"saige . what are you doing here?" he asked .

"even though you didn't want it , i have the gender of the baby and i wanted to find out with you"

"what baby?" the lady asked .

"me and marqs baby" i answered .

"marq are you serious?" she asked him.

"who even are you and why are you in our business?" i asked mugging her .

"i'm marqs wife , so his business is my business"

my jaw dropped .

"he never told me he was married"

"saige , you declined all my calls and ignored my text messages for MONTHS i thought you got rid of the baby yourself , that was the plan"

"that was your plan not mine"

"marq really ? how could you be so careless" she asked

"baby i'm sorry"

"well anyways" i spoke as i sat down at their island because my feet were hurting .

i ripped the envelope open and looked down at the ultrasound.

"surprise it's a boy" i said nonchalantly as they both stared at me .
