The dusty books and the never ending aisles of the library were like a second home to the ravenette. The fantasies and the fairytale were a beautiful escape from the numbing pressures of life. His life was good, more than that he would say but everyone needs an escape from the reality and this was his.
Walking through the aisle he started searching for a book he wanted to read for so long. It was about the sky. The blue color, clouds, stars and what not. Everything about it fascinated him. Jungkook loved the wide blue yonder. He could never miss a chance to know more about it.
A smile made it's way to his lips as he found the book but before he could extend his hand to take it from the shelf, long fingers grabbed it and pulled it out. Surprised and annoyed he turned around only to stop dead in his tracks. He was mesmerised.
A boy stood infront of him. Big eyes that held galaxies. A cerulean shirt adorned his petite body. Fluffy hair falling onto the forehead and rosy lips turned up in a smile. He resembled the sky. "I'm taking this book. I've waited long enough." The boy said looking into his eyes.
The deep melodious voice snapped the ravenette out of his trance. "I wanted that. I saw it first." He blurted out without thinking. The unknown boy looked at him with amusement this time. "If it's like that then you can have it." He said giving the book to Jungkook. "But you have to promise that you'll give this book to me after you're done with it. You have to give it to me personally. Ok?"
"Ok. I'll give it you....." Jungkook said. Curiosity evident in his voice. "Taehyung." The boy replied smiling and waved him a goodbye before leaving that place. Jungkook on the other hand just stood there eyeing his retreating back. The unknown boy was like the sky to him. Beautiful and interesting.

And there was no way he would miss a chance to know more about him.
Jungkook smiled at that memory. It was his first encounter with the love of his life. Totally unexpected and endearing. That day marked the start of a new chapter in his life just like the day before. Letting go of the past and starting anew with Taehyung seemed like one of the best decisions he had taken in his life just like going to Taehyung with that book right the next day back then. All those memories with the boy were precious to him and he couldn't wait to make new memories with him again.
"You look happy." A voice snapped him out of his oh so joyous thoughts. He looked up to see Jin smiling at him. The others were there too. "When did you guys come in?" He asked surprised. "We've been standing here for five minutes I think. You were too busy daydreaming so you didn't notice us." Jimin said playfully. "I'm sorry guys. I was just thinking about something." He smiled and gestured them to sit.
"I am happy hyung." he said getting up from his chair and joining them on the couch. "I've decided to give Tae another chance. We are starting again without any hatred or complaints." Hearing him the smile from the other's faces fell. It was a very sudden decision and they were all taken off guard.
"What? Why are you guys looking at me like that?" Jungkook asked when he got no response but surprised looks instead. "Are you sure Jungkook? Are you ready for it?" Namjoon said finally breaking his silence.
The ravenette nodded. "I know you guys are skeptical about my decision but I've been thinking about it for long now. The past is something we can't change. It's gone so why are we all still stuck there. Living those memories is just ruining everything around us so I want to let it go. I can see the way he has changed. He chose me over his father this time so I will give him a chance. I'm going to follow my heart." He said smiling.

The others nodded their heads and looked at him with adoration in their eyes. They were proud of the ravenette's decision. "We'll try too. It will take us some time but if you can then why can't we." Jin said. He felt a sudden relief wash over his body as if it was really the right decision all along.
"Can I join you guys as well?" Jimin asked. His voice was heavy and eyes glassy. He smiled when the others nodded. "I can't wait to talk to that stupid bear. He has pestered me too much in these months. Even though I never said a word to him he would still show me everything he bought for his baby. He would talk to me about his day and problems. Surprisingly it all felt natural and good. It was as if we all have been living in a lie till now." Jimin blurted out everything in his heart. Ignoring Taehyung these past months had been really difficult for him. It took everything in him to not talk to the other when he was showing him tiny things with such excitement. Today he would go and talk to Taehyung for as long as he would want and he felt excited for the same.
"Hyung since everything is sorted now, I want to talk about one more thing." Jungkook said grabbing everyone's attention again. "I think we should slowly come out of this mafia business. Let's find ways to provide jobs and a stable life to our men and then we can just end Asmodeus. This mafia life is not for me or even you guys. It was just for our revenge and now we don't need it."
"Yes we'll do it. It will take some time though. Ending much a big mafia would not be easy but even I want to come out of this dirty business now." Yoongi said while stretching his arms and yawning afterwards. Everyone shook their head and laughed a little at his sleepy antics.
They all were happy. Everything seemed to be falling in it's right place. It felt as if the puzzle of their thoughts and wishes was finally in place but want they forgot was that.......
One blow is enough to ruin that puzzle completely.

Tales from the Triverse
Tales from the Triverse is part detective drama, part fantasy adventure and part space opera. I’m influenced by the likes of Iain M Banks, Isaac Asimov and ND Stevenson and work including The Wire and Gotham Central. It begins with an incident two hundred years ago which crashed three parallel universes together. Portals open up in 18th century London, sending England down a very different path. We pick up events in the 1970s, with the Metropolitan Police having established a new department to handle portal-related criminal activity. The story is about intolerance, immigration, multiculturalism and power. It’s about what happens when incompatible viewpoints are weaponised to seed discontent, and the efforts of some to create a fairer world. In the tradition of the best science fiction, fantasy and crime fiction, I’m using the setting to examine themes that matter to me in the real world. Who is it for?If you like science fiction or fantasy, or a mix of both, this is for you. It’s my first foray into crime fiction, but I hope if you’re a fan that you’ll enjoy yourself - especially if you’re looking for something a bit different. I write fiction that is optimistic, progressive and empathetic. Bad things can happen to good people in the stories, but the overall arc tends to be hopeful. Note that if it were a movie, Tales from the Triverse would be a 15 certificate in the UK.
