"Edward, what's wrong? I heard yelling. Is everything alright?" I asked him as I approached him.

I could sense frustration yet calmness from him, "I proposed to Bella the other night, she said yes." He informed me.

My eyebrows raised in a bit of a surprise, "She finally said yes this time? That's great! Congrats bro!" I said while hugging him. Though I could feel his energy didn't really match mine.

I mean this is great news. Bella and Edward can finally be together. Jacob can finally move on. I don't have to worry about Jacob falling for her again. I mean after the other night, he wouldn't do that to me...right?

I pulled away looking around, "Where is Bella?"

He looked off into the same direction as I found him and sighed, "She's with Jacob. He found out about the marriage too."

I stepped back confused, "And that's a bad thing? He'll understand, I'll go find them. We can make celebration plans after all of this is over." I said a bit happily then followed Jacob's and Bella's scent.

I was halfway to them until Seth jumped in front of me in his wolf form, scaring me a little.

"Seth! Don't scare me like that, and I'm fine. I'm warm enough now. I need to find Jake-" Just as I moved around Seth, I finally got to the top of the hill, though I couldn't believe what was happening before me...

I froze in my spot. I literally felt my just recently repaired heart, break into pieces...again.

I could feel my eyes start to water as I watched them kiss. I immediately turned around and started heading back towards the campsite. Seth was just beside me.

I ignored him and calmly arrived back at the campsite, Edward was still there, in the same spot.

I too stopped in my tracks, facing the tents, my eyes were still filled with tears, though none of them went down my face just yet.

I was so caught up in my thoughts that Edward and Seth were beside me, "Avalei, I'm sorry you had to see that." Edward said. He knew what was happening and yet he didn't stop me from seeing it. He wanted me to see the true Jacob Black. The one who's still in love with now an engaged girl.

I ignored them as I still stared off into the distance. Just then, I heard footsteps against the snow approaching us.

"You saw." Bella said, probably towards Edward first. She probably didn't notice me yet.

"No but Jacob's thoughts are pretty loud." Edward included. That just hurt me even more.

"I don't know what happened." Bella stated. My mind still hurt and angered.

"You love him." Edward said.

"I love you more." Bella finished.

"I know." Edward replied.

I then heard footsteps and a gasp, "Avalei!" She approached me, I still stared off into the distance.

"Avalei I'm so sorry. He got mad and I didn't know how to stop him from going out there and killing himself. I even mentioned you but-" She started but I finally spoke, not hinting a point that I was broken inside.

"Its fine. Its done. We'll save it for later. Right now, we have bigger things to worry about." I said sternly. I let a tear finally fall.

"Avalei I'm really sorry-"

"Just drop it Bella!" I yelled turning my head towards her, I saw her flinch at my sudden outburst, I composed myself a little. I didn't care if she saw my tears fall, "We're doing all of this for you."

Seth then nudged my side, I turned to him, he saw from the others' minds that the battle is about to begin.

"Its starting." Edward announced.

I quickly wiped my tears away, my only expression was anger and concentration.

We stood there, Edward and I watched through Seth's connection and through the eyes of my family.

The newborns finally emerged out of the trees and my family attacked. Already killing some of them. Just then, the wolves joined in. Surprising them all. I felt a pang of pain but pushed it aside.

It was nice seeing the wolves and my family working together.

Just then, I saw Jacob join in on the fight as well.

"Jacob just got there." Edward informed Bella. She let in a huff of air. We watched as he took down a newborn that was about to attack Emmett.

"He's good." Edward informed again. Bella nodded her head.

We continued to watch. I being impressed at my family's agility and skills. Its cool to actually see them in real action. And with the wolves, they make it easy.

I then saw Paul having a hard time as he had a couple of newborns on him, Emmett then went to pry some off of him. Helping him. Once they took care of those newborns, they exchanged looks. Smirking. Teamwork I tell you.

More of the battle commenced but it wasn't until Carlisle and Esme stopped as they approached a young newborn, who wasn't fighting, she was actually scared.

But I got distracted when I could hear others' thoughts and Bella snapped me out of my trance, "Someone's hurt?"

"She's close! I can hear her thoughts" Edward announced. I knew who he was referring to. I too could read her thoughts.

"Seth go!" I ordered Seth, he hesitated at first but went off.

Bella soon got behind Edward and I joined his side as well, keeping my hands ready in case I'd have to use my powers.

"She knew we weren't there but she caught my scent. She knew you'd both be with me." Edward informed us.

"She found us?" Bella questioned.

"She's not alone." I stated.

Just then, Riley walked slowly into our view. Bella hid more behind us. I didn't let my fear show, only the anger that stayed on my face.

"Riley, listen to me. Victoria's just using you to distract me. She knows I'll kill you." Edward started.

Then not far from where we stood, Victoria appears on a small hill, crouched and looking straight at Bella and I.

"In fact, she'll be glad she doesn't have to deal with you anymore." I announced to Riley as I read Victoria's thoughts. She was set on killing us. Riley soon stopped in his tracks though, his glare not leaving us either.

"Don't listen to them Riley. I told you about their mind tricks." Victoria cooed, her evil little girl voice trying to woo Riley in.

"I can read her mind, and so can my sister. So we know what she thinks of you." Edward warned him.

"He's lying." Victoria chimed in.

"She only created you and this army to avenge her true mate, James. It's the only thing she cares about." I said sternly. That made Riley's glare soften a bit, as he looked over to Victoria.

"There's only you. You know that." Victoria tried to keep her truthfulness but she was slowly cracking.

"Think about it. You're from Forks, you know the area. That's the only reason she chose you. She doesn't love you." Edward finished. That made Riley really think and look at Victoria again. If vampires could cry, he would start to.

"Riley, don't let them do this to us. You know I love you." Victoria lied which made Riley think to himself a bit. He really looked like he was about to cry, if he could, but then he composed himself.

He had his glare back on and stepped closer to us and stopped, "You're dead." He said softly and he pounced.

Edward and I were about to fight him off but Seth jumped in right before Riley could reach us.

We watched as Seth toyed with Riley's body, shaking him around by his arm. We heard a glass breaking sound and Seth tore off Riley's left hand. He screamed while holding it.

As that was happening, Victoria made a run for it, though Edward called out to her, "You won't get another chance like this again!" That's when Victoria stopped in her tracks, turning back around to face us.

I pushed Bella more behind me as Edward crept closer to Victoria, taunting her, "You want them! You want me to feel the pain that you felt when I killed James." That struck a nerve in Victoria as she began to shake. Edward taunted her more, "When I tore him to pieces. When I turned him into ash. When I turned him into nothing." And just like that, Victoria had enough of my brother's words and charged.

She soon tackled Edward to the ground, gliding a few feet, landing just a yard away from where Bella and I were standing. She pushed Edward and got up. She tried to reach for us, but I threw her to the side using my telekinesis, away from us and into a tree just enough time for Edward to get up again.

She held onto the tree though and looked straight at Bella and I. Before I could move Bella myself, Edward grabbed both of our hands and guided us away from the tree. Victoria soon climbed it.

I looked off to the side to see Seth still fighting off Riley. Getting some kicks to the face a bit too. I grabbed Bella's hand and took her with me as Edward went to the tree Victoria was in and pushed it down, making her fall off.

She landed in a crouch and looked at us again. She tried to charge at us but Edward interfered again, attacking her, hitting her head to the ground. That got Seth distracted which allowed Riley to kick Seth into the big rock beside them.

"Seth!" I made sure Bella was away from everything before I ran to Seth. I pushed his fur a bit until he finally came to. He got up slowly.

Just as I aided Seth, Riley went to help Victoria with Edward. As Edward was now hitting Riley's head to the ground, Victoria took the opportunity to creep up behind him and grab him in a neck hold, stopping him from twisting Riley's head off.

I looked back to Seth to make sure he was okay and he was so I ran right by Victoria and Edward. I tried to conjure a fire ball fast enough but Riley soon had me in a neck hold as well.

I was just about to burn Riley as he held me but we soon looked over to Bella who panicked and picked up a sharp rock...Oh no I know where she's going with this.

"Bella! No!" I yelled to her, But like all times, she didn't listen, just cut her arm, releasing her blood. That got the vampires distracted enough to loosen their grips and looked over at Bella, hungrily.

Bella stood her ground, letting the blood drip down. Riley was the first to actually let go of me so I kicked him hard enough that sent him flying towards the hill. I went back to Bella and watched as he landed stunned a bit. Seth suddenly came out from the top of the hill and bit down between Riley's neck and shoulder.

Riley called out to Victoria a few times but she didn't listen. She just focused her eyes on Bella and I. Seth then took Riley away from our views and took care of him.

Victoria was set on Bella's blood as she charged at us though Edward got in the way. They fought for a bit and it wasn't until Edward threw her and caught her but then biting into her neck, separating her head from her body.
