Elena

I was overwhelmed, almost everyone from my family met me and cared for me. Though it was just a day after i became consious. I was happy to have this family with me. Grandpa hadn't told anyone yet about my power, but Bryan said i have to recover fast so i could develop my power and skills. He says there are more cases of trespassing recently. Grandpa had ordered, Demon and Arina to stay here till then, Sue is incharge of the pack there, but i am worried, if she would be able to handle it.. Though, Bryan has assured me many times that it won't happen, he said that she is their mother, and she has handled the pack in the absence of their father too. That was the assurance i needed. She was after all like my mother and i won't bear losing her.

Meantime, i had decided i would do some research. As i met each of the family members i asked them about everything that needed to be known to me. It helped to know about them, about Uncle Joe, about their specialities.

A day after, when i woke up, i had this feeling that nothing had happened to me ever. I was happy being back to normal, and the first thing i did in morning was to wake Bryan and make love to him. He was surprised but happy that i was fine. We met Grandpa later and i insisted in starting the training as soon as possible. Now that, the threat and the signs of upcoming war were getting more strong, i had to make myself ready to fight. Though it was my first, the amount of effort put by Demon and Bryan as well as Arina were making me do the best. At the end of the trainng sessions i would feel Demon and Arina sighing, and i laughed on them, knowing that they were just releived that i have not hurt any of them again. I was getting used to control my power, i had known once i was at the peak of any emotion, i would release a power on a person who will be lost and lifeless unless i touch him. It could be risky as told by Bryan, he said going through Demos experience, Demon felt like his life had been pulled away, if i wouldnt have touched him on time he could have lost it. I have apologized to him and Arina over and over again, but as good friends would do, they said it wasn't my fault.. Demon was so good at training me, all he wanted was me being the best fighter.

It was early morning, when i heard, some noises outside the window. I held up my guards and went towards it. I saw Bryan and Demon fighting. They were looking messy and furious. I panicked and left the room,. Running downstairs and out of the door. My speed has increased which made me reach there in mere seconds. I stopped and called there names, but they weren't stopping. I don't knw what came over me but suddenly i punched the ground and saw a crack pass though it towards them. They immediately got back and looked at the ground as the ground shuddered as if there was lightening from the ground as exactly as it happens in the sky. I jolted back, but noticed another of my ability. I looked at them as they looked at me wide eyed. I scowled at them and went forward.

"What the hell are you two doing?"

They just looked at me dumbstruck.

Their faces were filled with red marks obviously because they hit each other. I looked at Demon, who suddenly grinned at me. I narrowed my eyes on him.

"Bryan are you sure you are going to keep her for lifetime? I don't want any damage on the pack house or the property either." Demon stated chuckling. I rolled my eyes knowing he was kidding. Bryan just gave him a look which clearly stated Fuck You!

"We were just practicing." Demon said explaining.

"In your human form?"

They both nodded in unison.

"but i heard some noises."

"It was our wolf's, we were practicing in our wolf form earlier."

"I told you we should have chosen a better place." Bryan scolded his brother.

"Yeah, i guess so too now, i didn't knew you will wake up, and we were so busy we didn't notice we came so close to the house."

"You both scared the shit out of me!"

"Yeah we are sorry." Demon said.

"Wait..how did you do that? I am sure you have to answer Arnold about it. Since, you have made damage here." Demon said waving his hand around.

"I don't know. Seems if any emotion hits me at it's peak i am self discovering new powers."

"That must be it. But, it's good." Demon appreciated. "Look at yourself, though some amount of power was used while doing this, but you seem to be fine. This is a good sign. You are getting stronger." he said.

I nodded and looked at Bryan, he seemed to be looking at me with concern.

"Let's go inside." he silently said and started walking towards the door.

I looked at Demon , who shrugged looking at my questioning look.

Closing the door to my room which is also Bryan's room (after a long heated debate with my grandpa), i felt like i am seeing him for the first time since ages. Damn, i always feel like that. I smiled at him but he looked lost in thoughts, bit worried, bit concern. I hugged him from back.

"What's the matter?" i asked

"Nothing."

"Bryan, something is wrong. I can feel it. Now tell me what is it that you are so worried about?"

He sighed then turned to look at me, holding my face, he pulled me for a long, slow and demanding kiss. I obliged his need. Slowly, he pulled me to the bed and made me sit on his lap.

"I am just worried about you."

"You don't have to. You know i will be fine."

"Elena, you haven't faced any war yet. Nor have you even seen it. You are new to this world, and now that you are developing your abilities, there would be more people out there to take you."

I got up and walked towards the window, probably to hide my facial expressons. I was scared, he was right.

"Why are you thinking about it? Look Bryan, i am not a kid anymore. Years back Mom and Dad defended me, now i am a Hunter, with addditional abilities, that no one knows then us. I agree i haven't seen any war yet, but i don't think i am concerned about that." I turned and looked at him.

"Wait..why is this all coming from you ?"

That made him look up at me.

I narrowed my eyes at him.

"What are you thinking Bryan?"

"I just..i don't want you to..you know..i mean.. participate in any fight." he said without looking at me.

That pissed me off.

"What?..what are you talking about? I am beating my ass off to face any danger that comes to our way. I am willing to fight for myself and for you all. I am trying to develop unusual powers within me, even if i am harming myself, and you are saying you don't want me to participate!"

"That's the reason, you are harming yourself. Don't show me that strong, confident hunter, i know you are scared too. It's not just my view but others too. You have to understand you are too precious for us. Think about me Elena. I am your mate, i am confident about you. But, i will not let anyone harm you till my last breath. You have to beleive me."

"Everyone thinks that i shouldn't participate?" i was shocked to hear that. Why do they think i am a weak hunter, am i that easy for any rogue?

"That's just our opinion. Master hasn't commented on it yet." he said explaining.

"Well, then i will meet master regarding this." i said glaring at him and stomped out of the room. Banging the door as hard as possible.

How could they do this to me? I reached Grandpa's door and knocked, after hearing his voice i went inside.

"Ohh it's you.." he stopped mid sentence looking at me. He must have noticed how furious i was.

In an instant he was near me.

"What's the matter?"

"Grandpa.." i told him everything that had been going on..."..do you think i am incapable of fighting?"

He laughed aloud. I looked at him confused.

"What?"

"He patted on my shoulder and led me to the sofa.. "Please sit."

I nodded and did the same.

"Grandpa."

"Listen to me. You are a bright young, confident women, and i am sure would be the best hunter, the world will get to know soon, but you have to understand, i am not willing to take this risk by letting you fight if any attack happens.."

"..but.."

He raised his hand. "Let me finish."

I nodded looking at him.

"You are very precious my dear. You haven't seen any fights yet. I think you should train yourself as much as possible. You must know the intentions, the attacker knows you are special, they want you. They are crossing all the limits laid by the council, and they will pay for this soon, but the reason behind that is you. If we set you up there, you would be an easy target. Though that wouldn't happen that easily as it seems, as your brother and mate would not let them touch an inch of your hair without crossing them, but still, i want to make sure you be safe. I have risked your life once i won't do that again but that doesn't mean i will not let you fight. You will have your chances, afterall you have to learn. So, I have a plan and just make sure, you keep this between us. Will you?"

I nodded looking at him confused.

I returned to our room as soon as Grandpa calmed me. As i opened the door i saw Bryan sitting at the same place he was when i left him. My eyes darted towards the window, it's looking dark as if storm was on the way. It already had started raining with thunderstorms. I saw Bryan, he looked in so much trouble, he had his eyes closed and was pulling his hair as in frustration. I moved towards him and he looked at me. I saw his eyes red and tears pouring from his eyes. Ohh my, what have i done to him. I hugged him tightly.

"I am so sorry." i whispered. He holded me tight, as if i am going to leave him. Ohh boy, what have i done?

"I am really sorry Bryan. I just couldn't handle it. I am sorry i left without hearing your explanation."

"No, Elena, i am sorry, it's just, i couldn't handle the thought of someone hurting you. I can't let anything happen to you." he said sobbing.

"I know baby, i know, ohh god look at you." Does this man, know how much i love him.

"I am fine. I just lost it, that thought of you being hurt. I know i shouldn't worry but i have been waiting for you since years, and now that you are my mate i wouldn't let anybody's fucking finger to even touch you."

"I know, you wouldn't i trust you Bryan, i do, and you must know that I love you like hell. I Love you so much it hurts." i said looking at him.

He looked at me with some different emotion. Ohh god! I haven't seen his emotional storm through his eyes like this before, not even when we got mated.

"Bryan..what is it? Don't you trust me on what i said?" i asked bit shaken. He shaked his head and chuckled.

"What?" i asked confused.

"I didn't want to do it like this but i don't think there would be any better situation then this when we both are on our high's of love towards each other."

"Do what?" i whispered as he pushed me away slowly. He looked at me standing, kissed me on forehead and bent down holding a small round box. OH MY!! I was shocked, hell shocked! I haven't dreamt of this moment ever. Could I? What if? Is really this what it looks like it is?

"Elena Shaw, you have turned my world upside down, since you came in my life. I want to love you, cherish you till i die, you are my air, i wouldn't live without you. You are my every dream, my everything. I want to hold you, make love to you, have kids and be with you till the end of my life." he opened the box as i gasped looking at the beautiful diamond ring it had. It was simple and beautiful. I felt my heart melting, and tears dripping on my cheeks.

"Elena...Will you marry me?" he said those words. Those words, which were not my first but it definitely weren't that special then that they are now. I felt happy then, but now i felt loved, overwhelmed, satisfied and everything that's positive. I looked at him and nodded.

"Yes. I will..I will marry you Bryan." he left a sigh of relief and took the ring from the box and put it on my engagement finger. He picked me up letting me squeal in laughter and swirled me round. This was the most beautiful moment of my life that i wanted to cherish forever. I looked at him and kissed. We both were so happy, our sparkles seemed like dancing as our bodies touched. After what felt like a long time, someone knocked on our door.

"You told them don't you?" i asked smiling at Bryan, he nodded. We opened the door to find, beaming Ari, Smirking Demon, Grinning Aunt Diana and smiling Grandpa looking at both of us. Ari though bet them all by squeezing me in her arms.

"Congratulation! I am so happy for you."

"Thanks Ari."

"When are you planning to marry?"

"Ari, i just said yes like a minute ago. We haven't planed anything yet."

"Ofcourse, but don't you dare keep anyone else as your Maid of honor!"

"Ari, you know it's just you."

"Ya!" she squealed clapping. I looked at Demon who was looking at her. Why haven't he asked her yet? Just in time he looked at me.

Clearing his throat, he came forward,

"I am happy for you sweety." he said hugging me and then moved to Bryan.

"Way to go Bro!" he said punching him and then hugged. We all giggled. I looked at Grandpa who were watching out exchanges. He smiled teary eyed.

"Grandpa." i hugged him. He was the closest family to me now.

"Ohh dear, Congratulations, i am so happy for you. Bryan is a good guy. You have made a right choice. Bryan, you must keep my girl happy or else you have to face me."

"I will sir." he said as we all laughed. Aunt Diana was the last but was crying by now. She engulfed me in a hug crying.

"Elena dear, your mother would have been the happiest person this moment. How i wish she and Charlie would be here."

A bulge formed in my throat. Mom!dad! I miss them, i really wish they could be here with me.

I controlled my urge to cry. I knew wherever they were they would be happy for me. They knew that i love them.

"But..even if she isn't here, i am going to make sure, you get whatever you want in your wedding. Elena, i am here, i may not be your mother but i am your aunt. You are like my daughter, and i will always be there for you no matter what." she said grinning at me. I nodded.

"Ohh we are going to have so much fun this coming days!" Arina jumped in enthusiasm. I rolled my eyes at her and looked at Bryan, who was watching me smiling. A smile that i haven't seen ever, a smile that melted me inside out. Finally, i met him, he was my Soulmate, my Bryan.
