《Defiance: Lost Light {DEFIANCE BOOK I}》Epilogue

I awoke to a room with bright and flashing lights. As I looked around some more, I noticed that I was in a War Frigate. I must've been in Mother Dawn.
"Stephanie? Are you okay?"
I looked at the person standing over my bed and saw Krystal standing there along with the rest of graceful squad, and my team.
"She's awake? Thank God!" I heard another voice say, it was Lee.
"Welcome back to life Stephanie.w Chris said, smiling as he walked over to me.
"Where am...what happened?" I asked, clearly confused.
"After the initial nuclear beam blast knocked you to the hull of the shuttle we were in, cracked Krystal's helmet that you were wearing, and knocked you out." Jason explained to me in depth.
I remembered now. The blast, the shuttle, the Russians, I remembered it all now.
I got out of my bed and walked over and began to chat with everyone, they seemed to get very well acquainted as I was unconscious. It seems that Lee was quite friendly with Trinity, or so her thought. And Krystal had come out of her shell and was even laughing with everyone. Everything was good. Suddenly, Commander Tyson walked in. I'd never seen what he looked like. In fact, I still didn't. He had a face mask on, but I saw his eyes, the right eyes was blue. The left eye's pupil was missing, seeing as there was a scar over it.
"General Greek wants a word with us." He said, walking out.
We all exchanged curious looks, finally, Nathan broke the awkward silence.
"Well, lets go!" He said loudly.
We all followed Tyson to the briefing room. As we got there, we noticed General Greek along with another famous general: General Michael Fox.

"Hello everyone." General Fox said. "We've called you all here to this meeting to tell to you that you've done a get back here alive. We want to reward you."
"We're promoting you all to Templars" General Greek finished.
A silent flutter of excitement flew through the room. We all were surprised.
"Th-thank you general." Tyson said as he saluted the general.
We all followed suite and saluted the two generals.
"Thank you sirs!" We said in unison.
"You're welcome." General Fox said as he scratched his beard and brushed his brown hair to the side. "Dismissed."

The rest I the day was filled with parties and drinks, I loved everyone I was with. We danced, sang, drank, and even reminisced in previous missions. I barely remember it all.
As I crawled into my bed on the Mother Dawn, I pulled the cover and remembered all the events that occurred the last few days. I laughed slightly at the fact that I can even go to sleep right now. I looked at my clock. It read: January 5th-1:11am. We were on our way back to earth.
I turned over and slept the rest of the way there.

T/C:
Well, there ya go. Defiance: Lost Light.
This book was a LOT of fun to write.
I was addicted to writing it and consistently updating it.
I appreciated all the reads I got from this book.
I'm kind of nervous if my next book will be as good as this one.
Curious as to what my next book will be? Well, did you like defiance?
I guess we'll find out some origins then...
Thanks again everyone.

Bastard's Wrath
The Wyvern reared its humongous head, serpent neck coiling back, onyx scales of opulence shimmering in the dimness of the cloud smothered sky. It spoke, eye's ashen, like the surface of a star, "What is it you desire, boy?" The word's rolled from it's pointed maw, tongue flicking, it's deep and ferocious voice sending the ground below rumbling. Damien looked up, hair sodden with rain, his face battered beyond recognition, his lips curled into a snarl. He had gone past the point of being frightened; he was tired of his weakness. He spoke, voice wavering, mist floating from his mouth in the coldness: "I want them dead. I want everyone who stabbed me in the back; dead." The Wyvern smiled, rows of teeth exposed, "Then sacrifice it. Sacrifice your humanity." - The story of a bastard within a crippled family, who beyond all odds becomes known as the Greatest Swordsman to live: the one that, even the Gods, would someday fear.
