Wherein Narda's a hundred percent sure she'll really get over her feelings for Regina.

Until she really isn't.

They've known each other for a year now. It's not a surprise how they became inseparable, pareho ba naman sila ng mga bagay na pinaniniwalaan at mga bagay na gusto.

Their friendship grew deeper, at least that's what Narda thinks. It's a one-sided feelings of love afterall.

Now imagine when one day, the girl she's in love with is being pursued by Brian, their common friend from the Engineering department.

The look of happiness in Regina's eyes screams she feels the same way even without her actually voicing it.

Brian is courting Regina and the latter likes it. Where does she stand on that?

It's hard being gay and in love with your friend. Really.

Fast forward to a week later as she sighed while watching the two talking not that far from her.

Why is she even in the same library with this lovebirds?

Right. She's here to help Noah, the guy needs a study buddy as he said.

However, instead of looking at her books, her eyes were focused at the two. Narda saw how Brian made Regina smile effortlessly. She then saw how Regina say something that made Brian hug the girl.

Other students seem to notice their closeness so the two decided to stop hugging, their smiles not faltering.

Did she say yes already?

It wouldn't surprise her, like, she and Regina both think that if you both are really into each other and the person treats you right, then go be with each other. That easy.

And since Brian actually treats Regina right and with their feelings being mutual, then it's not a surprise if the girl will right away say yes.

They look good together. They always do.

She thinks as she shakes her head from thinking too much. It's already over.

She wasn't even planning to confess so she knows since day one that her feelings will eventually be pushed back down to her deepest core. And she wasn't wrong.

Her feelings will be hidden forever.

As she was about to look at her book once again, she was stopped by Regina's eyes staring at her. Those beautiful ones she gets lost into and she saw how the girl smiled at her.

She smiled back at her, she smiled even when her heart is breaking.

I'll get over this Regina. I'll get over you.

"Nardaaaaaa" she hears Regina's voice on the other line.

She's now at the comfort of her home.

She decided she'll not see Regina for today. They're supposed to eat lunch together, it's been planned days ago. But knowing what Regina will talk about, she decided she'd just stay at home.

It's not like she'll fail her subjects if she's absent just for today. She just needs not to see Regina at least one day.

She's scared she might lose her control and suddenly blurt out her feelings. She can't risk that.

"hmm Regina, may kailangan ka?" she almost cursed at herself.

She forgot she's not supposed to answer the girl's calls.

"ahm yeah? where are you? magla lunch tayo dapat today, remember?" the girl asks and she sighed.

"sorry Regina, may sakit kasi ako ngayon, d ako pumasok sa school." she says, lying.

"oh my God, puntahan kita jan sa inyo ha? mag-isa ka lang jan, you have no one to look after you." sunod-sunod na sabi nito.

"NO!" medyo pasigaw na sabi niya.

She then cleared her throat, "sorry, I mean no. okay lang, d naman kailangan ng mag-aalaga sakin eh. d naman ako bata Regina." she said.

She heard a deep sigh mula sa other line bago nagsalita si Regina, "fine, please take good care of yourself and call me if you need me, 'kay?"

She felt her heart aching when she heard those words, feel niya ang unfair niya kay Regina.

She just lied to her and now pinag-alala niya pa ito.

I guess you'll just have to know.

"actually Regina." she started.

"I'm not sick."

"huh? then why are you not around school?" obvious na pagtataka ang nabalot sa boses ni Regina.

"sa totoo lang Regina, ayukong nagsisinungaling sa'yo at ayukong pinag-aalala kita. kaya sa tingin ko mas mabuti ng alam mo. tulungan mo nalang din ako dito." she said.

"what do you mean?"

"mahal kita Regina." it was silent after that.

She knows she can't take it back now.

"at itong d ko pagsipot ngayon, way ko sana para umpisahan ng mag move on from you. kaso, ang hirap magsinungaling sayo, ang hirap na pinag-aalala kita kaya sinasabi ko na ngayon. mahal kita." she once again said.

"at hindi ko hinihiling na mahalin mo ako pabalik. ang gusto ko ay tulungan mo akong kalimutan 'tong pagmamahal ko para sa'yo. ayuko din kasing mas maka apekto 'to sa pagkakaibigan natin eh." she added.

"kaya kung pwede, wag mo nalang din akong kausapin..hanggang sa okay na ako, hanggang sa makalimutan na kita." she's crying now.

"pasensya ka na kung masisira talaga friendship natin."

Wala pa ding ingay mula sa kabilang linya kundi paghinga lang ni Regina.

"tulungan moko ha? kailangan kong mag move on from this. thank you Regina and I'm sorry. goodbye muna." sabi niya bago in'end ang call.

Her tears flowing uncontrollably.

Until she fell asleep.

Narda woke up to lots of knocking from outside her door. She checked her time at mga halos kalahating oras siyang nakatulog.

She groaned as she stood from the couch.

Wala sa sariling binuksan niya ang pinto and there stood Regina.

"Re---" she was cut off with the girl hugging her, tight.

"I love you too." rinig niyang sabi nito.

Kumawala siya sa yakap nito bago nagsalita.

"ano?" takang tanong niya.

"I love you too." ulit nito.

She might have looked like a lost kid base sa reaksyon ni Regina who cupped her cheeks.

"listen okay?" the girl tells her and she nodded.

"Brian and I, walang kami. He said na we should pretend to be in love with each other, sabi niya na may feelings ka din daw for me, I did not agree with him at first. But you give me lots of mixed signals it's driving me insane." she started.

"kaya I agreed nalang with his plan, but then, I feel like hindi naman talaga mutual yung feelings natin, maybe I just misunderstood everything. kaya yung sa library, if you saw me and Brian hugging, that was me ending the plan. he comforted me with still the belief na mutual talaga. I didn't believe him."

Narda is digesting everything right now.

Walang Regina and Brian.

The girl is in love with her too.

"but with what you said kanina, it made me feel like I'm finally on the ground. I was floating around with my feelings for you Narda but now, your confession pulled me back with you. mutual ang feelings natin kaya I apologize if I won't allow you to move on." huling sabi nito at pinagdikit ang noo nila.

"I am in love with you Narda." Narda suddenly feels like she's just dreaming.

"I am in love with you too Regina." she answered, even when she's unsure kung totoo ba ang lahat o hindi.

She felt Regina plant a kiss on her forehead and right then she knows damn well that this is not just a dream.

Regina loves her back.

This is reality.
