A lot can happen in 6 months.
-flashback-
"Troian please just stop talking!" he nearly yelled, trying to keep his temper in check.
"I'm sorry.. What did you say to me?" I whipped around.
"Gosh, not everything is about you, you know." he stood up, towering over my petite figure.
"I never said this was about me?" I shot back.
"Well you implied it," the younger man mumbled.
"How so? I saw you flirting with her and I called you out on it! I never once said it had to do with me."
"I wasn't flirting with her. How many times do I have to tell you?"
"Stop denying it! I freaking saw you, Keegan!"
"Okay. I am going to tell you for the fifth time in the last hour that all she asked was how to get to the ice cream shop, on Pacific Avenue, and I helped her. I was holding her phone to show her on the map! I mean how does that even get confused with flirting?"
"You're a such a liar. You were giving her your phone number! I saw!"
"Then you saw wrong."
"Ugh, just shut up."
"Don't be a bit-"
"Oh don't even go there you. Call me when you get out of your endless pit of selfishness."
I grabbed my coffee from the ledge of the counter and poured cream into it before I felt someone bump into me.
"Oh, I'm so sor-"
I looked up as the stranger apologized and quickly looked back down when I met a pair of familiar eyes.
"Oh, hey Troian."
"Hey, Keegan..."
An awkward silence filled the air as we stood there, looking in opposite directions.
"So how are you?" he finally broke the trance they were both in.

"I'm good... How are you?"
"I've been better," he scratched the back of his neck like he usually does when he's uncomfortable.
"What, did that girl from the park dump you?" I replied, immediately regretting the snarky remark.
"No.. I've barely left the house since our... separation."
"Oh."
I don't quite remember the details what happened after that but I do remember sitting at a small, caramel-colored cafe table for hours and talking.
"Troi!" a happy yell greeted me and suddenly snapped me out of my trip down memory lane.
"Hey, babe!" I smile at the blue-eyed boy in front of me and stand up to give him a hug.
"Are you ready for dinner?" he asks with a grin.
"Uh.. yeah. Let me just grab my phone."
I trotted up the stairs and adjusted my blue peter-pan collar dress.
Keegan smiled at me nervously and I saw him inhale deeply.
"Are you okay, Keegs?"
"Yeah, yeah. I'm great."
"Are you sure? If you're not feeling great, then we can go," I say, putting my small hand on his larger one.
"I'm okay," he gives me a smile.
I take a spoonful of mashed potatoes and delicately devoured it.
"Hey, can you hand me my phone?" Keegan asks me.
"Yeah, of course," I reach into my purse and grab the black box from where I had put it upon request.
I turn around and see him on one knee. I hand him his phone slowly and he laughs nervously as he puts it down next to him. I looked around and hid my face with my hands as I saw everyone staring at us.
"Troian," he laughed with a quiver, "I remember the first time I saw you on set, and I thought. Damn, she's going to be a troublemaker. And god was I right." A few laughs filled the otherwise silent restaurant.

"But I would never take back those years for any goddamn thing. Every second of playing Spencer and Toby made me fall deeper and deeper in love with you. And I know our path wasn't the easiest and I never thought that you would be the one I'd be proposing you. So please, seal our eternity and make me the happiest man on Earth. Troian Avery Bellisario, will you marry me?"
I burst out in tears and nod quickly as he slips a gorgeous diamond ring onto my ring finger.
The restaurant explodes in cheers and claps as both of our faces blush a furious red.
"Thank you," I whisper as we embrace in a warm hug.
"For what?" he looks at me with our foreheads touching.
"Everything."
