Amelia's shoe closet above.
"Leah, I need you to pick up ten of my dresses from Chanel, ten from Oscar de la Renta, ten from Carolina Herrera, five from Ralph Lauren, five from Albert Ferretti five from Alexander McQueen and five from Ralph and Russo."
"What do you need fifty dresses for?"
I give her a pointed look. "Don't ask questions, Leah. Just do as you're told."
It's been ten days since I got back from the UK. I'm sitting in my shoes side of my closet, rearranging stuff with the help of the maids and Leah.
Juliet comes into the room, wearing a red pant suit and black heels. "Your dresses from Altuzarra and Dolce and Gabbana just arrived, Amelia. They are waiting for you to sign downstairs."
"Thank you, Juliet." I grin ignoring, the shock on everyone's faces.
****
"Amelia, you're late." Nicole frowns as I enter Paige Mill's office.
Paige is of the best florists in the country. We are meeting with her to choose the flowers for Nicole's wedding.
Which will take place three weeks from today.
I've barely had time for myself since I got back. I've been helping Nicole with the wedding plans. I also went to New York with my mum for a Zimmerman fashion show. Even though I'm back at Hardwood, I'm still doing some work and with Adam out of town, there are couple of important things on his schedule that I've been covering for him.
I hug Nicole and Emily then shake hands with Paige. We settle down and someone brings us tea.
"So what is your vision, Miss Taylor?" Paige asks Nicole.
"Like I told you on the phone, Tulips are my favourite flowers so I want them everywhere." Nicole answers.
"Where is the wedding taking place?"
"The Four Seasons."
"And how many guests are going to be there?"
Nicole shrugs. "I don't know."
Emily and I share a look but we don't say anything.
After the meeting, we head out of the building and there are cameras flashing everywhere.
I duck my head down. "Why are there so many paparazzi?"
They've been everywhere since I came back. Mostly asking questions about Nicole's wedding and her mysterious fiancé.
Yes, we haven't met the guy.
All we know that his name is Prescott.
I catch Emily looking at me and I give her a nod. Even though, we're both going to Jasmine's house, we are taking different so Nicole doesn't get suspicious.
Cooper and my female bodyguard, Kristen help me get into my car. When the door closes, my phone starts ringing.
I sigh when I see the caller.
"Florist appointment, really?" Nicole's mum sounds like she's going to cry.
"I'm sorry, Michelle. We're just going along with what she wants till we find a solution." I say, trying to reassure her.
"This isn't my daughter, Amelia. Nicole always knew what she wanted. How could she do this again?"
I shake my head not knowing the answer.
Nicole always knew what she wanted. Her dream has always been to become a fashion designer. Even though she's wild, she is always organised and has everything all together but when it comes to men, she always makes the wrong decisions.
"I will try my best to stop this. I promise that Nicole is not going to get married any time soon."
"But what if that's what she truly wants?" Michelle asks.
With Nicole, you never know.
"Then we'll let her be."
****
"Prescott Shen. Age: twenty two. Occupation: modelling. Net worth: six million dollars. Here's a photo." I pass it to Jas who takes a look and starts passing it around.

Nicole is keeping everything about this guy mysterious so I contacted the private investigator that helped me find information on Simone to look him up.
I texted the girls and told that so that we can figure out what's next on our plan.
"If she's having fun with this guy, just let her be." Chloe says making me irritated.
"This is about more than just having 'fun', Chloe. We're talking real love and marriage." I snap.
Things have been kind of rocky between she and I over the last couple of months because I do not like the kind of relationship that she's got going with Jacob.
I love Chloe honestly, I do and I love Jacob.
I'm not trying to be judgemental or anything. I just don't want to see them getting hurt at the end of this because Chloe is graduating in a few months and I'm sure she's going back to London.
I have nothing against a no strings attached relationship. I just don't think that it's a kind of relationship that you should have with your friends or in Jacob's case, someone that you're in love with.
"For the nth time, my relationship with Jake is none of your business." She retorts, glaring at me.
"Guys, guys, let's not slip off our topic of discussion, okay?" Emily says.
I sigh. "I don't want Nicole to think that we are never supportive of any of her relationships. I'm glad that she's happy but I don't think that she's making the right decision."
"Love at first sight does exist though. Maybe this guy is what Nicole needed all along." Tara speaks with a shrug.
"Love at first sight exists but I don't think Nicole is truly in love. She's just going through a phase." Emily says in a bored tone.
Jasmine nods. "Yeah, I agree with Em and I mean, it's not like Nicole hasn't done something like before."
That is true.
When we were nineteen, we went on a trip to Vegas. Nicole was dating a guy. Allan was him name. We went out one night and didn't come back to our hotel till like four in the morning.
I was also seeing someone at that time but things weren't serious just like Nicole's relationship with Allan or so we thought because immediately we got back to the hotel, they announced they were getting married by the end of the week and nothing was going to stop them.
I mean I knew Joseph (the guy I was seeing) longer than Nicole had known Allan and he still wasn't even my boyfriend.
"That's it!" Mia snaps her fingers and we all turn to her. "Oh, Jasmine, aren't you the smartest person! When Nicole wanted to marry Allan, everyone tried to stop her. Including her parents but she refused to listen. The only person that was able to stop her was-"
"No, no, no! Absolutely not!" I cut her off, horrifyingly.
The paparazzi took some photos when we went dress shopping and the news broke out. Her family flew in from Bluefall with all the intention to stop her but they couldn't.
The thing was right before she started seeing Allan and before Vegas, Nicole was dating someone. My cousin, Julian.
Julian lives in LA so when the news came out, he was just miles away. He took a plane and flew in to Vegas because he felt betrayed that Nicole was getting married right after their break up.
Nicole and Julian were madly in love with each other but they didn't have the best relationship.

"But Amelia-"
"No! They were so bad together. Yes, they were in love but they were always fighting. Scheming against each other, pulling pranks to cause jealousy. You guys know how badly it ended."
"No, we don't. What are you guys talking about?" Camilla asks, her confused eyes going around each of us.
"Mia has a point, Amelia." Emily agrees, nodding her head.
During that period, we did all that we could to prevent Nicole from getting married. When Julian arrived, he took Nicole out and when they came back, she went straight up to Allan and broke up with him.
Up till today, we don't what he did or said that got her to change her mind.
Since we were kids, Julian and I never got along. He saw me as an annoying little brat and I saw him as a mean bully but somehow, he started having feelings for my best friend and they began dating.
"But guys, Julian is Julian. He's crazy and he drove Nicole crazy too. Their relationship was fucked up. Almost as fucked up as Tyler's and-"
Mia cuts me off. "Don't, Amelia. You know we don't say that name."
She's right. "Sorry." I mutter.
"Julian is our only hope, Amelia. We need him to come from LA." Emily says.
I frown, folding my arms. "Fine but I'm not going to be the one that goes to get him."
****
"Cut!"
Yup! I'm in LA. My friends forced me to come here. I didn't have a choice.
"I thought you were supposed to be in charge of a company not movies." I say as I stand behind Julian.
"Cousin!" He turns around with a wicked smile on his face. His grey eyes show no sign of surprise. They are twinkling with excitement.
We, Smiths are gorgeous and Julian is no exception, of course. He's got the looks.
As his cousin, he has no effect on me but I'm told that he can melt a girl's heart with only a smile. His body is well built and muscular. He is very tall with dark brown hair. He is wearing a light blue shirt with black pants and shoes.
He puts his hands behind his back. "To what do I owe this pleasure?"
"I need to talk to you. It's important."
"Alright then. It's a wrap, everyone! See you all tomorrow!" He says into a loud speaker.
When I arrived, I contacted Julian's PA and she told me he's here. On a movie set.
"Are you seriously directing movies?" I ask as we start walking to his trailer.
"You're still a naive little baby, cousin. Smith Corporations, LA produces movies. That is why I'm here."
"And what kind of entitlement exactly does a producer have?"
"Any kind I want." He answers. "I heard you've been busy since you've got back from the UK. Even with school, you've been working, representing your husband in events and openings, making lots of donations to charity."
I frown, glaring at him. "How do you know about that?"
I try doing all the charity work I've been doing since I got back discreetly. Nobody is supposed to know about it.
"You are the future CEO of our family's legacy. You must know that you have eyes following you around, watching every move you make. The whole family is looking at you, cousin." He comes closer and whispers, "Especially grandfather."
I roll my eyes. "Whatever."
We enter the trailer and I see a girl sitting in just her bra and panties.
"Not today, kitten. I have something else that quite needs my attention." Julian says.
"You're Amelia Smith." The girl points out, looking at me then she looks at Julian. "Is she who you're going to be doing to night?"
I scrunch my nose. "Gross."
"That is none of your business." Julian smiles at her then motions for her to get out.
With a disappointed sigh, she leaves. I look around the trailer. It's clean. My eyes land on a copy of Pride and Prejudice. As I walk over to it, I stumble across something, almost tripping.
I look down and see a pair of pink lace panties. "Ew." I mutter in disgust then look at Julian.
So much for the trailer being clean!
"Looks like your lady friend forgot something."
"I'll take that." He bends and pick up the panties. "Let's have lunch. Where do you want to eat?"
"Osteria Mozza." That's my favourite restaurant in LA.
****
"You know I've been trying to come up with different reasons on why you're here but nothing has clicked." Julian says as the waiter drops our dessert.
"Nicole is getting married."
His face turns serious. "I didn't know she was dating someone."
"They met two weeks ago."
He scratches his jaw. "So you traveled all the way to hand me an invitation?"
I shake my head. "Quite the opposite actually. I want to you to go back to Bluefall with me and talk some senses in her just like you did the last time."
He stares at me blankly. "What I did the last time might be impossible to do right now."
The curiosity shakes me even more.
"Why? What did you do the last time?
He shrugs. "I just simply told her that she isn't going to marry the guy."
"That's it?"
He gives me a nervous look and keeps quiet.
"Julian!"
"We had sex and I told her to not marry the guy because she's mine." He confesses.
My eyes widen and I whisper, "Seriously?"
"Yes."
"You didn't do something else? Like give a her a speech or something special?"
"We were still in love." He says like that's supposed to explain everything.
But I guess it did in a way.
"So there's nothing you can do now?" I ask feeling disappointed.
"I don't think so."
"I don't know why she would want to get married to a guy she just met! I mean, she's older and wiser now. Doesn't she think that that is just wrong?" I cry.
"And who are you to talk? You got married to a man that you didn't know at all."
I roll my eyes. He's so annoying.
"That was different, you know that and besides, I've known Adam's family my whole life. Prescott on the other hand is not marriage material. He's still young and wild."
"And Black?"
I raise my chin. "Adam is a responsible and successful man. I'm glad to have him as my husband."
A grin splatters on his face and leans in."Are you in love with him?" He asks in a low voice.
"That's none of your business." I stand up and flash him a smile. "Thanks for seeing me. I know you have a 'very busy' schedule."
He stands up. Dropping a couple hundred dollar bill on the table. "Are you staying at The Summit?"
"No, I have a plane waiting." I reply as we walk out of the restaurant.
"It was a long flight. Aren't you tired?"
"Not really."
"You sure? You can spend the night at my parents' or I could get you a hotel nearby." He offers and I smile. "No, that's fine."
"Alright." He nods.
"Thanks for everything. It was really nice of you to see me."
"You're welcome." He says and I get into my car.
****
When I arrive home, I'm exhausted. It's been a really long so I groan out loud when the maids tell me I have a guest.
Who could it be? It's almost two am.
I freeze when I enter the living room. "Ethan? What are you doing here?"
"I'm here to see you. I've missed you."
"I've missed you too." I reply and hug him back.
We sit down and start talking. We haven't spoken since he thought I did background check on him so we have a lot to catch up on.
During the conversation, I brought up what happened and he sighs.
"There's something you need to know." He says.
I tilt my head. "What?"
"The reason why I was so angry at that time was because I began having feelings for you. I like you, Amelia."
Wow. That's direct.
"You do?" I whisper.
"Yes and trust me, I've been trying to get you out of my mind but I couldn't. That's why I came here today and when I was told you weren't here, I insisted on waiting."
"But I'm married, Ethan."
He bites his lip. "I know but you said the guy doesn't care about you. I've been here a couple of times but I've never seen him."
I clear my throat. "That guy is your boss."
He frowns. "What?"
"My husband is your boss. You know that, right?"
"Wait, what the heck are you talking about?"
I brush my hair back and look in his eyes."I'm married to Adam Black. Don't you know that?"
"What?" He barks, standing up.
"You don't know?" Just like I expected.
"Of course not!" He closes his eyes and runs his fingers through his hair. "Holy fucking shit! I'm dead. My life is officially over."
"Don't you follow me on Instagram?"
"I don't use social media. I think I've told you that."
Another thing that Ethan I have in common is we don't pay attention to social media and gossips. He's a very traditional and kind of in his own zone kind of guy.
"That's right."
"Oh! Shit!" He palms his face. "I'm probably going to lose my job over this."
I chuckle at him, fixing my dress. "It's fine, Ethan. Adam knows that you and I are friends."
His eyes widen. "He does?"
"Mmm hmm."
"And his cool with it?"
I half shrug. "I guess."
He takes a deep breath. "Fuck! So what's going on with you two?"
"It's complicated."
"You said you still have feelings for ex."
"Um..."
"I'm not going to lie, Amelia. I'm scared of the boss but I really like you. You're gorgeous and completely down to earth. I love seeing you smile, I love it when you laugh and-"
"Ethan." I cut him off with a soft smile. I find him really attractive and he's so funny. We also have a lot of things in common
He moves closer to me. "I want to try something. If you don't feel anything, I will respect but I've got to at least try."
Our face are only inches apart and before I can say anything, I feel his warm lips on mine.
I close my eyes and kiss him back, my heart pounding in my chest. I haven't kissed a guy in forever. The kiss is good but something is missing and a flash in my head makes me pull away.
My heart is still pounding with I don't know-guilt? Fear? Yeah, I feel terrified.
I can see the hurt in Ethan's eyes but he gives me a sad smile. "You're still in love with him."
"I-I'm sorry."
"It's fine." He gives me a hug and picks up his jacket. "I'll see you soon." He says.
I nod in reply and don't look at him as he leaves. I think I'm having a mini panic attack.
I'm confused as hell.
My feelings are all over the place.
I need to go for a drive.
I go to Adam's office and search for one of his car keys. The Lambo will do.
I head outside and drive away.
I take my phone and go through it. I see a voicemail from Brian.
"Amelia, is Nicole really getting married? Call me back when you get this."
I call him and wait as it rings.
When he answers, I sigh. "Brian, you have no idea how crazy everything has been.
He doesn't say anything but I can hear him breath.
"Brian?"
"This isn't him. I will tell him you called." The line goes dead.
Oh my God! Liam.
My body freezes and I automatically lose control of the car.
I see another car coming towards me and I quickly twist the steering wheel, falling into the woods and I crash against a large tree.
I take off my seatbelt and just bury my face in my hands and burst into tears.
Liam. Why did he answer the phone?
And why do I feel like this? Why am I crying?
Have I been deceiving myself all this time?
Fuck! Fuck! Fuck!
It's starts raining and I try to reverse the car but I can't. I haven't been able to drive in the rain since my accident.
I pick up my phone and call Adam.
He answers after the first ring. "Amelia."
"Adam." I say softly.
"Yes? Are you okay?"
"No, I'm not." I sob.
"Where are you? What's wrong?" I can hear the panic in his voice.
"I don't know."
"Are you hurt?" He asks in a low voice.
I don't answer. I just cry harder.
"Amelia?!" He panics.
"Hmm?" I reply.
"Baby, talk to me. What is going on? And please tell me where you are." He says in the sweetest tone I've ever heard him use.
"Car.... can't drive."
"Car? Which car?"
"Your Lamborghini."
"Okay." He hangs up and I bang my head on the steering wheel. I'm fucked.
Because of that stupid kiss and that phone call!
Why did the two things have to happen at once? I don't even know where I stand.
My phone starts ringing and I answer.
