《Allure.》Chapter 1

I couldn't believe it, the day had finally come and I was graduating.Breathe I said to myself this is not a big deal. Repeat... This is not a big deal.
Who was I kidding this was a huge deal! I had worked so hard for the last 6 years and in a few minutes I would be a college graduate. Not just any graduate a law graduate. I had worked so hard to achieve my goal of becoming a lawyer. So many late night study sessions. Forever reading cases and statutes, not to mention giving up every summer to intern at law firms. It had all finally paid off!
"Savannah Raegan Avalyn Perry"
Oh crap..... breathe. Just remember to breathe.
It was the single most liberating experience of my life. Being handed my diploma as I walked across the stage. I was finally a lawyer.
"And that concludes our ceremony for today. Please join me in congratulating our class of 2016!"
The crowd erupted in cheers and we all through our mortar boards up in the air to signify triumph. After six gruelling years we had finally done it. We had made it through college and were being set free out into the real world. Who would have thought it!
"Congratulations Sav" It was one of my best friends, my rock, the one who kept me sane throughout the last six years Della.
"Couldn't have done it without you Dell" I said.
"Me either" Said Lacy who was in a passionate embrace with her boyfriend Rhett.
"Group hug" I cried out and we all came together and started cheering and giggling.
I really had the best group of friends anyone could have asked for. Della was so smart and loyal, she had always had my back. Lacy was bubbly and funny and could always pick me up... even if I didn't want to be picked up and Rayleigh well she was basically family. When my family and I had moved from Arlington to Crawford, Texas fate had brought Rayleigh to us.

I was only eight years old but I still remember it like it was yesterday.
"Come on Mama, I want to see my room" I declared.
"Okay sugar lets go check it out" My Mama grabbed my hand and lead me through the big white double doors. We made our way up the stair case... I was in complete aw of our new home.
It was an old plantation style home with great big pillars, high ceilings and shutters on the windows.
"This ones yours baby" My mom said as she slowly opened a door
"Can I see can I see!" I squealed in excitement as I ran past her. As soon as the door was swung open I saw a small girl huddled up in the corner of the room crying her eyes out.
My mama immediately pushed me behind her and told me to go downstairs and get daddy. I did exactly what she said. I ran down the stair case and caught a glimpse of my father. He was standing by the moving truck directing the movers on where things needed to go.
"Daddy" I screamed.
His eyes shot up to me immediately. "What is it darling?"
"Mama needs you upstairs in my room" I said with panic. Not fully understanding the situation
My father picked me up and together we made our way upstairs to meet my mother and the suspicious girl that was crying in my room.
