My alarm starts ringing. Its 6am already, how is that even possible. I still can't believe how exhausted I am from the weekend. I really am showing my age with this multiple day hangover.

I dwell in bed for about 5 minutes before I throw the covers back and put on my workout gear. I always run in the morning. Its great for waking me up and getting me going.

I put my leggings, sports bra and runners on. I try to be quiet because I know Ray is still asleep. That girl docent wake before 10am and thats on a good day!

I grab my iPod and head out. Im working up a serious sweat I ran nearly 5 kms already. As the sun starts to rise I can't get the thoughts of Ryker out of my head. I wish I had gotten his number or given him mine. I go through a million what if scenarios in my head. What is it about this guy? I just can't seem to shake him.

When I arrive back at my apartment I realise I need to forget about it and move on. I mean technically I am still on the rebound from Carter right? Even though I haven't thought about him for over a month. It still counts yeah? 

I jump in the shower and get ready for work.

I pick out a black pencil skirt, white blouse and nude heels.

Very appropriate I nod as I see my reflection. I pull my hair up into a ballerina bun and apply natural but professional make up. Wow I look like a real lawyer.

Im waiting in the reception area of Stein & Beckett. When again I begin day dreaming about Ryker. His sandy blond hair, his piercing blue eyes and his sweet lips. His kisses were heavenly .

Im quickly interrupted and snapped back to reality when I hear someone calling me name. "Ms Perry. Ms Savannah Perry"

Oh crap "Thats me" I say a little embarrassed.

"Come through please. Follow me"

I get a wonderful tour of the office and finally I am dropped off at the IT Department where I receive a laptop, iPad, blackberry and all my login information.

I head back to my small office and immediately a man walks in.

"Walter Stein" he says as h nods in my direction

"Pleasure to meet you Mr Stein" I reply

"Please call me Walt" I nod in response

"So the main things you will be doing at the moment are general administrative tasks; filing, discovery and research. Eventually though I'll have you sit in on my cases and then hopefully in 6-8 months time you'll be taking your own cases. Well thats the plan anyway.

"Sounds great sir" I reply "Thank you so much for such a wonderful opportunity"

He places a stack of files on my desk

"I believe we should be thanking you. With an academic record like yours we were surprise you applied at such a small firm Savannah. Anyway...I need you to go through these and flag anything suspicious or that doesn't add up.

"Not a problem sir. Im all over it"

By 6.30pm Im still only halfway through the stack of files and I have uncovered nothing.

I decide to pack up the rest and head home. Im utterly exhausted. This isn't what I imagined doing after i graduated but I try and remind myself that it was only my first day.
