I wake up in a hot sweat. I sit up in my bed. Uh oh.... I'm going to be sick!

I clamp my hand over my mouth and make my way to the bathroom. I trip and stumble but I get there in the end.

Leaning my head over the bowl I empty the contents of my stomach and flush

I lay my head on the cool tiles. Ahh... that feels so good I say to myself.

I didn't even drink that much I say to myself. I only had 2 glasses of wine last night. I felt fine before I went to bed. It must be a bug. Ive been pretty run down lately. Yeah thats it. 

I open the cupboard under the sink to get some mouthwash because all I can taste in my mouth is vomit. I reach my hand into the cupboard and knock out an un opened box of tampons. I stare at them for a second and then it hits me.

"oh crap" I say to myself. Panic sets in. Im late... I haven't gotten my period.

I yell out for Ray. I am in panic mode.

"Whats up" she says as she stands at my bathroom door

"Hello.... earth to Savannah" She says

"Oh god Sav.... I can't read minds. Your going to have to help me out here" She says in a frustrated tone.

All I can muster up is 2 words

"I'm late" I say

"For work? You have to give me more than that.

I can speak. All i do is shift my eyes to the box of tampons on the floor.

Rays eyes widen. Immediately we are both on the same page.

"Are you sure?" She asks.

I simply nod.

Ok get dressed she says were going to the pharmacy.

30 minutes later we arrive back at the apartment with 10 pregnancy tests.

"10" I say "did we really need 10"

"well you want to be sure right?"

I nod " I guess so"

A few minutes later I have emptied my entire bladder... there is nothing left

"I can't look" I say in a hushed tone

Ray gets up and walks over to the bench where all 10 tests are lined up

She peers over each one and then looks at me

"Well good news" She says

I lift my head to look at her

" the one I peed on is definitely negative"

I lower my head again. Yeah good news for her I think...what about me.

"But all yours are positive Sav"

"All 9" I say to double check

"Yep...all 9"
