thank you for 4K reads! that was fast JDKS
The day was finally here. I had my date with Taehyung!
Well, a double date. Jungkook would be tagging along as well with his own date.
Pfft, and he said that he didn't have his eyes on anyone. Liar.
Strangely enough I wasn't as annoyed as I thought I'd be when Taehyung asked if Jungkook could come as well. Now that Jungkook and I are progressing slowly in our relationship, I didn't want to strangle him every single time I saw him.
"I think it'll be fun," Taehyung had said. "Plus, he hasn't been on a date in so long. I just want him to put himself out there and get himself a girl."
The more I thought about it, the more it all clicked.
Taehyung had a point, Jungkook hasn't had a girlfriend ever since Jaeun.
Well, would you even call that a relationship?
All Jungkook does is make-out or even hook-up with girls, but never has he been in a serious relationship.
I was currently in my room, rummaging through my closet. I had absolutely no idea what to wear. Taehyung had mentioned to wear something casual and cute, but since I'm no fashion icon, I don't know what I would call casual and cute.
But I knew someone who did.
Within five minutes of me calling, Nayoung was already in my room looking through my closet as I sat on my bed and let her work her magic.
"Are you excited?" Nayoung squeals, picking up a romper and examining it.
I nod my head excitedly. "So much. I can't believe the day's finally here!"
She grins at me and throws the romper at me. "Try this on. If not, I brought a casual dress with me that you could try on."
I beam at her and put on the romper. I walk to my mirror and take a good look at myself.
The romper itself was cute. It was black with knot tied up front. But I wasn't sure if it looked good on me.
"Nayoung?" I called her over. "Does this look good on me or should I try on the dress?"
"It looks good on you. But also try on the dress and we'll choose from there."
I nod and strip myself off of the romper and trying on the dress.

The dress was super cute. It was a pastel blue spaghetti strapped dress that was just above my knees.
"I think I might go with the dress," I say. "But Taehyung said casual, is this casual enough?"
She hums, starting to play with my hair. "Who cares if it's casual or not? Go with a prom dress. Be that extra bitch."
I laugh. "Shut up."
Nayoung starts working on my hair and makeup. She makes my hair wavy and does light makeup to match my outfit.
She did pink eyeshadow, light pink lipstick, filled in my eyebrows, and my mascara.
I'm so thankful for Nayoung. She was always there for me and she always knew what to say to make me feel better.
But lately, I haven't seen much of her. Ever since her and Hoseok began dating, she's been clinging a lot to him.
Which I get. But I also miss having my best friend at my side.
"Taehyung will be here any minute now!" She says after doing the finishing touches on my hair.
I felt my insides starting to swirl around as I squirm in the seat. "Oh dear."
"Relax, you'll be fine," Nayoung pats my head. "This is going to be your best date yet!"
"This is my first date."
"What about Youngjae?"
I scoff. "The whole Youngjae fiasco isn't considered a date, at least not in my books. It was more to prove Jungkook that I could come to the party with someone."
"Fine, then it'll be the best first date yet!" She rewords.
I chuckle and hug her. "Thank you for coming here on such short notice."
"Anything for my bestie!"
The doorbell rings, indicating that Taehyung was most likely here. My stomach starts to do flips and turns as I look at Nayoung for help.
"Go!" She tells me, following behind me as I go to open the door.
I sigh as I open the door, coming face-to face with Taehyung. He had his boxy grin on his face.
Taehyung looked good. He wore a simple white shirt with black jeans and a beige cardigan hugging him.
Remember what I said about boys in casual clothing?
"Hi." I whisper.
"Hey. You look really good." He says, eyeing me up and down.
"Hell yeah she does!" Nayoung shouts from behind me. I turn and give her a pointed look. "You better make sure she has the best time of her life tonight or I will personally hunt you down."

Taehyung laughs, extending his hand for me to take. "That's my number one priority. See you later."
I grab his hand and shut the door behind me. He opens the car door for me and I beam at him as I get in.
He climbs in and starts the car. I bite my lip in anticipation. "So, where you taking me?"
"They're opening up this carnival thing at the pier on the beach and I thought it'd be fun," He glances at me. "You don't mind, right?"
"Of course not!" I say, excitement bubbling inside me. "I love carnivals."
His shoulders immediately relax as he offers a smile. "Awesome. I was worried that you hated that kind of stuff."
I shake my head. "Even if I did, I wouldn't mind. It's the thought that counts, not the place. What matters is that we have fun."
Taehyung stops at a red light, turning to face me with a grin. "You're amazing, you know that right?"
Heat starts creeping on my cheeks. "So I've been told."
He laughs and drives once the light is green. "So Jungkook is going to meet us at the pier at seven. His date will be with him too."
I nod. "He got one?"
Of course he got one, he's Jeon Jungkook. All he would have to do is breathe and they'd be crawling at his feet.
"Yeah. He asked one of his many fangirls to come with him. Probably picked out the girl he thought was the prettiest."
"Sounds like Jungkook." I laugh.
We finally reached the pier. It was beautifully lit up with many lights. There was a ferris wheel and other mini rides, tons of booths with the basic carnival games, and best of all, the food stands.
Taehyung parks the car and quickly rushes over to my side to open the door for me.
I thank him and step out, admiring the scenery.
"Jungkook just texted and said he's waiting for us by the ticket booth." Taehyung says.
I nod and begin walking when I feel a hand grab my hand. I widen my eyes and turn to Taehyung who had a cheeky grin on his face.
I feel myself blushing again as I playfully glare at him.
"What?" He asks, leading me to the ticket booth. "We're on a date!"
I purse my lips and try to fight a grin.
This boy knew exactly what he was doing to me.
As we started heading to the ticket booth, we catch Jungkook and a girl all over him.
He was standing by the ticket booth with the girl clinging to his arm. As we got closer, I finally got a better look at who the girl was.
Was that. . . Lee Miyeon?
Lee Miyeon. Also known as Jaeun's best friend.
Also known as one of Jungkook's most famous flings.
But best known as the girl who probably hates me more than Jaeun does.
And Jungkook knew that very well.
So why did he bring her?
I never understood why Miyeon had hated me as much as she does. Was it because our names were close to similar?
But since she's Jaeun's best friend, and knowing why Jaeun did not like me, I had a pretty good idea why she hated me.
"Oh dear." I whisper under my breath as we finally reach the two.
Taehyung tightens his grip on my hand. "Hey guys! Let's go in and get the tickets."
He goes up to buy the tickets. Miyeon glares at me and heads next in line, purposely shoving me in the process.
I blink a couple times and look over my shoulder to see her smirking at me.
Okay, this bitch really gone and did it.
99.9% of me wanted to fight her right then and there, but the 0.000001% told me to not let her ruin my long-awaited date with Taehyung.
Thankfully, I listened to my 0.000001%.
I grab Jungkook's arm and twist it slightly, earning a groan from him. "Why the hell did you bring Miyeon? You know she hates me as much as I hate losing, right?"
And God forbid we all know how much I hated losing.
Jungkook flashes me an innocent look. "Miyeon hates you? Oh man, I never knew that!"
I grit my teeth annoyance. "Jeon. . . what the hell are you up to?"
He flashes me a fake smile and walks away after saying, "I'm just here to enjoy a double-date."
I clench my fists and watch him join Miyeon.
This day better not get any worse.
